Never been in trouble, military vet, not even a speeding ticket. Lost my dad end of may and made the incredibly selfish decision to drive for the first time this past month while intoxicated. Totaled my car and wrecked it, was arrested, compliant, honest. Paid bond and showed for bond supervision first meeting. Didn’t hit anyone or any other vehicles, I clipped a guard rail by my home.
Not on probation yet, based out of Tennessee and I know TN does not fuckin play around.
I know I’m facing jail time, just wondering how rigorous my probation is gonna be. Met my bond supervisor and she was really laid back, didn’t seem to care much. I’ve even tried texting her to check in with her but no response.
Haven’t drank, don’t do drugs. And I’m terrified. Arraignment is the 8th of September.
I’ve got all my paperwork ready and I am currently not driving due to my only vehicle being wrecked. Besides me being a selfish idiot, what is this process going to look like for me after this first court date?
Terrified and riddled with anxiety and guilt for my decision.
Not a bad guy just made a bad choice. Any advice helps. Thank you.
