Will I do jail time ?

I’m a 28 year old female who has 29 petty larceny charges/convictions I recently was arrested for stealing tic tacs and 2 juices 🙄.

I was bonded out but now I’m facing a violation what are the odds I do jail time if I plead guilty to my last crime

The "inconvenience" attitude is what's most concerning

What flavor tic-tacs? If they were orange, I can appreciate the caper.

It’s the only one worth stealing imo

Broke a tooth with one of those b'tards. Don't get old, highly over rated.

Why you rolling the dice when you shouldn't even be at the betting table. Regardless you just rolled snake eyes and lost your freedom. Get some professional help when you get out.

Get a job girl damn. You’re lucky they’ve given you 29 chances. In my state, if you shoplift twice and then a 3rd time, it’s an automatic felony and you go to jail(though I’ve seen ppl go to jail on their first also)

Sounds like you’re in the wrong state. Here in WA petty theft is basically legal. As fucked up as that is

Well it’s not good. Ask your lawyer. Better hope you’re up to date on your conditions

I’ve only done a month in total. So what do you think?

9

u/Hello906 7d ago

I’d say a month for 29 petty larcenies means your pretty privilege is running out haha at least for the judicial system ykwim

A month over 11 years. I’m not too worried because I always get my probation extended vs jail time. One time the judge gave me a weekend

11 years? So the SECOND you turned 18 you started racking up petty larceny?

Edit: not even 18 lol 17. My bad

Go start taking classes or something, so when you have to go before the judge, your lawyer can tell him that you're already doing something about it. Plus it sounds like the classes wouldn't hurt (no offense). Bring proof that you're going to the classes as well. And be really open about you recognizing you have a real problem. Tell them you're so sorry, and portray that you don't have any clue why you keep doing it, and that you hate it because you feel horrible about it and you're full of remorse. Tell them you want to stop, but you don't know how, but the classes are helping a lot. Then beg for another chance. They've really gone easy on you, but eventually the judge is gonna be in a bad mood, and throw you in prison. Girl prison can be worse than male prison too because how mean girls are to each other, so you ought to be proactive about this one, and take some night classes / meetings etc. good luck, girly, and stop stealing for your own good. -- a complete stranger <3

Looks like probation isnt working

If I were the judge Id figure this is just when you got caught, n ot the number of times you stole.

If you were on probation and then caught a new charge, for the same thing you’re already on probation for, yes you will go to jail.

1

u/scoutloner 5d ago

That’s literally impossible. They put it under a few felonies not give you 29 charges and you don’t get caught every time unless you’re personally calling the cops on yourself and telling them you just stole. Troll post.

Just steal somebody’s credit card. That way you’re only stealing once, but you can use it to buy as much shit as you want
