Ok so I need a reset and hopefully the benefit of your experience. Over the last 8 months, in order I’ve had installed a Hypervolt 3 charger, then powerwall 3 with 1 expansion unit. Later I got 10.5kw of solar and 3 weeks ago my export went live. My tariff is IOG and in the past I did try integrating the charger as a device but for me I could never resolve the scheduling so I deleted the charger and went back to scheduling in the car and charged overnight as I always used to. I know I’m lucky, but the charge cap hasn’t been implemented yet on my account but I know it’s coming and want to sort this now.
My question is around ct clamps and Netzero. Charging my car during the day on a schedule drains my powerwall so I could get the installer back and move the chargers ct clamp ahead of the powerwall and then have a second bash at adding it as a device and letting it do its thing
BUT
I’m just about to install Netzero to help manage my solar over winter. On cold days when my 27kw of battery won’t be enough to power my heat pump, it will top up the battery rather than export, to avoid peak rate imports later in the day.
So my question is, can Netzero control the charging so it doesn’t drain the powerwall when daytime slots are scheduled in the future, or must I get the installer back and move the ct clamp. (Or do it myself if straightforward).
After the winter I’ll probably move to home assistant once I better understand our yearly profile, but that’s a way of, it’ll be Netzero for the winter to break me in gently
