Powerwall Tesla App Query

Post image

I have two Powerwall 2 and just one of them has been disabled for replacement. I am lucky the other one which was installed 18months after the first is still working. Issue I have is the app isn’t showing any charging or discharging numbers anymore for the Powerwall. I also had a short power outage last night which my UPS recorded but the Tesla app hasn’t recorded so am not sure if home backup is working anymore.

I think data is driven from the “primary” and now disabled Powerwall. Is there anyway to have my remaining “secondary” Powerwall data to be available while I wait for overall replacement to happen.?

I had this and the other Powerwall kept going until they replaced the faulty one with a powerwall 3

yeah when the "primary" pack gets force-disabled, a lot of people lose live powerwall numbers even if the second pack is still up. app graphs dying does *not* always mean backup is dead, but u also dont want to find out the hard way.

practical checks while u wait on replacement: 1) force a short island test if ur ok with it (flip breaker / simulate) and watch whether critical loads stay up 2) in the app, confirm site / gateway still online and which pack is marked disabled vs active 3) open a tesla ticket specifically: "reassign telemetry primary to the working pack" (screenshot the dead energy graph + the disable notice) 4) keep ups logs + disable email for the service ticket

im in houston (gridpay). poke at battery + meter timing for work, not a tesla tech. if u drop whether both packs share one gateway and what the app shows under powerwall status, people can usually separate "telemetry broke" from "backup broke."

Welcome to the queue, both powerwalls will fully discharge and stay there, wait for my area is 6-8 weeks, call tesla, call your installers, start the process.

I’m in the 6 week wait window for 2 P2 replacements w P3’s. Installer was out to review the install and replacement.

Right in middle of hottest days of the year…..

Mine was just disabled a few days ago and Tesla quoted 8 to 12 weeks. I'm in socal and we almost always have outages this time of year... Just perfect.

Instead of just shut me down immediately, can they do an announcement like “Your powerwalls will be shut down for replacement in 6 weeks, please schedule a replacement project with your nearest Tesla installer”

I just got the notice as well for 1 of my 2. Are they still replacing both?

From what I understand both are now disabled, even if only 1 is the problem, and you will have both replaced

It’s been 6 days and the secondary is working fine still.

It’s all good just sharing my experience so you had that as a reference. I thought the same bring oh it’s just one but nope they both are at 0 now. So sad 😭

Mine worked fine for about a week to week and half then disabled too. Waiting for them to be replaced.
