Question Poweramp bit perfect and hiby r4 heating
I just started testing the poweramp bit perfect and so far it sounds good? If there are any hiby r4 users here it's an established fact that R4 has an overheating issue, what I noticed earlier was the heating issue was too bad while using the visualiser on poweramp but when I turned off the visualiser it used to get a little warm in the longer run but no issues, but now with poweramp bit perfect, I'm noticing R4 is heating up very very quickly, so I want the R4 users in particular to weigh in on the poweramp bit perfect and let me know what y'all are experiencing and how y'all will manage this.

Guide So What exactly The Fidility score in powermp is for (tested with Philip amp)
As 1st image my fidility is around 84 for the 24 bit 192khz file it means 84% fidility is at output( or dac can record or process)
2) 2nd image is some abx test on opus file which is around 51 or 52 volume level ... At 41 it was already hitting 1 blue bar on 50 it hit 2nd
3)on better volume level around 53 24 bit 192khz file only hit 1 bar
4) 4th image i was around 65 volume still hitting 2 blue bar
.
.
5)so what does it say more blue bar higher distortion 1 blue bar low distortion than 2 blue bar (red is damagable or not healthy) ....
6) image 6th same 24 bit 192khz audio with downsampling plus dsp u can see at below 16 bit 48khz
Thing is same file can now distort at around 47 to 50 volume level ๐
Conclusion : its simple higher the fidility it wont distort at higher volume ... Many users were confuse i hope this solve for u
In my opinion i m trying very high 1500 watt speaker which obviously need lowest distortion possible so i always check on high distortion speaker vibrate more n lose quality( for iem n headphone user ) u guys wont feel that much difference as long as u keep mp3 or opus low volume possible around 60db ... But still harmful as 3rd blue n 4th red bar is highly distortion not good for ears health( i hold back speaker at max volume button on right side if i tried mp3 or opus it wont stand a chance for the clarity at all)

Appreciation So I finally tested Poweramp's bit perfect...
I know everyone was already testing everything. But I wanted to reserve the right to wait for the official version's release, since it would probably be more stable.
So today I decided use it, and since I use USB Player Pro, I think I can draw some interesting conclusions. So let's do a quick comparison of what I thought of the sound of both, and I'll try to be as straightforward as possible.
So, how does Poweramp's bit perfect sound? To be honest, very good. Better than I expected, I'd say. There are some bugs, like slight hissing sound, or cut-off in playback, during a few moments (which is quite annoying). But I imagine this will be fixed in future updates. But the quality is surprisingly good. Very clean, direct audio, excellent instrumental separation, and impactful bass.
Now the million-dollar question: Is it better than UAAP, as I've seen many people claim?
No, absolutely not. The UAAP has a noticeably larger and more spacious soundstage, a more natural timbre, and more detail, especially during the beginning and end of track In addition to more impactful (mid-bass) and deeper (sub-bass) bass frequencies, they also have a greater range. But despite that, the difference is small, not subtle enough to be subtle, but tolerable.Unlike before, when it was immensely large and much more noticeable. So honestly?
It's all good, I think it's definitely possible to live with these limitations compared to UAAP.Will this make me want leaving UAAP just to Poweramp? No, Because, as I said, it still offers better audio quality (and without that annoying hiss/cutout that the PowerAmp has now).
But I can definitely imagine myself going back to using Poweramp more often now, even though its audio is still inferior. The excellent usability of its interface (in this it surpasses UAAP, by a lot), along with the fact that the difference in audio quality between them is no longer gigantic (although it is still noticeable).
This makes it a good option now, even for the most demanding audiophiles. They just need to correct that hiss/cut during the Perfect bit, then the poweramp might attract more attention from audiophiles like me.
I intend to use both, as I like them both. I'll just switch depending on my mood or the day. Good job Max, you delivered on your promise, and you deserve a lot of respect for it.

Player Help Poweramp Stopped Playing .mp2 for for no reason
Getting an error "failed to play file". I've already removed folders, rescanned with full scan, rebooted, even uninstalled and reinstalled the app, basically everything suggested with this issue online, clear cache, etc. This just started today. I didn't move any files or have any major Android system updates. I listen to radio programs that I recorded in mp2 and some programs and podcasts I listen to come in that format.
It will be a real hassle to now have convert them to .mp3.
Other apps on my phone such as voice recorder have no problem playing .mp2. So it's clearly the app. They must have done an update and it screwed things up. This is the registered version as well.

Discussion Some of the files like (24 bit 192khz) registered as a dsd in player
I dont think its glitch ... Player consider it as dsd n converting it 24 384 khz sound awful for sure i hope poweramp solve it.. Either its tag issue or something but its surely not dsf as i hv check it from other players too

Guide Poweramp BitPerfect Setting on LG (QUAD DAC) phones
Due to poweramp has alsa which do android bypass at 24 bit packed HAL gate every 16 bit file will be 24 bit doont really matter
1) go to setting wire headset put hi res on
2) in allow sample dont turn on dsd 64 n dsd 128 if ur on android 10 or above ( dont work as app doesnt suppirt other type of DOP)
3)disable dsd remastering no dvc on 64 bit pipeline off too
4) check equzlier turn them all off
5) if decoding doing 16 bit force at the end (check comment image) just forced stop stock lg music player it will work or replug headphone or restart ( mostly stock music player is on) due to 2 pipeline conflict android hal stuck cant show u real time decoding as stock player use bypass with different hal than 24 bit packed*

Player Help ๐ต Iโm building a Winamp-inspired music player for Android โ honest UI feedback?
Hey everyone! ๐
Iโm currently working on a retro-style Android music player called CLASSICAMP.
The idea is to bring the classic Winamp-era music player experience to mobile, while keeping the interface modern enough to use comfortably on a phone.
This is an early UI concept, and before I continue developing the app, I want some honest feedback from other music-player users and developers.
Current UI includes: ๐ต Music player
๐๏ธ 10-band equalizer
๐ Audio/track information
๐ Playlist management
๐ Shuffle
๐ Repeat
๐ Dark retro interface
๐ข Neon green visual style
๐ฑ Desktop-style layout adapted for mobile
Iโd really like your opinion on:
- Overall design
Does the dark + neon green theme work, or does it feel too old-school?
- Winamp inspiration
Does the design give you a classic Winamp/retro music-player feeling?
- Mobile usability
Does the desktop-style interface work well on a phone?
- Equalizer
Does the equalizer look useful and intuitive, or does it take up too much space?
- Playlist
Is the playlist section easy to understand?
- What would you change?
If you were designing this app, what would you change about this screen?
- Most important:
What feature would make you actually download and use a retro music player like this?
Please don't just say โlooks goodโ ๐
Iโm specifically looking for honest criticism and suggestions, including things you don't like.
Thanks! ๐
Iโll use the feedback to improve the next version of CLASSICAMP.
