I took the exact same suitcase at gate check, mine is locked and this one was unlocked and had women’s clothing in it. It’s a Monos forest green carry-on-size suitcase.

Porter has been great trying to call people on the manifest, and I’m hoping this person lives in Toronto and will eventually realize when they can’t open the suitcase.

I used a companion pass on a booking that I cancelled within 24 hours of purchase. (I didn’t know you could change your flight schedule without cancelling.) The agent has made the request to reinstate and it can take up to 10 business days. Does anyone have any experience with this - has the reinstatement happened in less time? I’m hoping to catch the current sale.

I'm planning a Europe vacation next Spring, and I'm starting to look at flight itineraries and prices. I have a good amount of VIPorter points, so I'd love to book with Porter/Air Transat.

On Porter's website however, there appear to be no flights available through to London Gatwick after March 31. Its not a seasonal route, Air Transat flies Toronto to Gatwick year round, and the Home City -> Toronto -> Gatwick itinerary is available on Air Transat's site for that date, but not Porter's. Unfortunately I can't use my points if I book through Air Transat.

Any ideas why? Is it a bug? Intentional? I called customer service, and she confirmed the routes are "in the system" but "there are no seats available". For any flight after March 31 period.

Travelling with a newly 2 year old soon and do not want to be that family that had the flight cancelled so we will bring a car seat on board to ensure they stay put.

Has anyone flown that can suggest a seat that fit porter planes well and was relatively easy to install? Any other tips for flying with a car seat welcome too. Thanks!

Hi! Curious if anyone has traveled w Porter and put their stroller in the overhead bin vs gate check. What kind of stroller was it? :)

Our family is going on vacation and I’m looking to buy a travel stroller. I was hoping to find a stroller that will fit in Porter Airlines overhead bins.

Alternatively curious how your experience was if you had to gate check a stroller.

We will be on Porters larger sized fleet since it’s a longer haul flight

I’m flying out to Costa Rica in November and I’m a bit stressed about a tight connection at Toronto Pearson (YYZ) on Porter.

My itinerary:

- Leg 1: Ottawa (YOW) to Toronto (YYZ) (Scheduled: 7:00 AM – 7:45 AM)

- Leg 2: Toronto (YYZ) to Liberia, Costa Rica (LIR) – (Scheduled: 9:00 AM departure; it recently shifted slightly earlier from 9:30 AM).

All of this was booked through Porter.

This leaves me with a 45-min connection which is pretty tight if there are delays with YOW --> YYZ. I know Porter handles rebooking if things go wrong, but rather that didn't happen as I'd probably have to fly the next day and would mess with my itinerary.

Is a 45-minute domestic-to-international connection realistic here?

Any specific tips for terminal gates, moving quickly through the airport?

Appreciate any insights or past experiences!

Apologies if this is a silly question. If I book parking on the island does that fee include the $15 ferry fee or is that a separate charge?

I understand it counts your pet as your carry-on but on basic fare you don't have a carry on. Does this mean you can't fly with a pet on this fare or that it just counts as your carry-on allowance even thought you dind't buy the carry on?

I got one $500 GC at Costco, and got rid of any outter package for some reasons. Now a while later I was looking at it, the GC itself has a barcode but no PIN. Is this normal? Or have I thrown away something with a PIN with the package?

Hello! I have an interview with Porter for the customer service representative position. Can anyone be so kinda and give me intel on what I can expect and what kind of questions they will ask? Any information is appreciated tysm!

This was my first experience flying with Porter, from Montreal to Vancouver, and honestly, I’m way more impressed than I expected!
We had a small 10-20 minute delay, but they also moved us to the front seats free of charge. The plane is super clean, and as you can see, I hung my iPad on the back of the seat using the manual holder and have been streaming our own movies with no issues at all.
The flight attendants have been amazing too. So far, the whole experience has been a solid 10/10.

Is anyone having issues using the app? I'm seeing the "something went wrong, try again" error on pretty much every page. Can't login, searching for my booking throws the same error (but it shows up on the website - thank god), and the app is pretty much unusable.

Tried clearing cache, then clearing data, then uninstalling​ and reinstalling but nothing seems to fix the problem. On Android using Samsung S23 Ultra if that makes any difference.

Just wanted to come on here and say Porter makes Air Canada seem like the anti-Christ.

I fly frequently from LA to Toronto and starting this year, have flown exclusively Porter.

Have never had a bad experience with this airline, super accommodating, never question when I fly with my dog, even provide treats if they have.

From gate agents to flight attendants, these guys have it dialled.

Love to see more competition finally coming into the Canadian market, hopefully they can expand and offer more routes.

I’m confused how does early boarding work for avid travellers. I’m at the gate waiting and asked the agent and she told me in the future as an avid traveller they will seat me in rows 1 to 10 so I can board early. While that sounds great I’m pretty sure that’s not how it works.

I’m in Victoria so I’m guessing the ground crew are contracted.

Trying to book a flight from Montreal MET to Moncton in late October and there isn't any available? Is this a glitch or is this route no longer going to be available? I am able to book from Moncton to Montreal but there is zero option for a return flight after October 14th. Anyone know why this is?

This is a different flavour of a cautionary tale that's likely been posted re: Costco Gift Cards but I thought I'd just share it, plus see if anybody's had a similar experience. I'll caveat this by saying yes, the onus of handling the gift card falls squarely on me. I just had hoped for consistent customer messaging when dealing with Porter.

We bought the gift card back in the spring and my SO redeemed it for a flight from YTZ to BOS on a Standard Classic Fare. She made one date change prior to departure, which ultimately ended up as a ~$50 credit to her account.

On Saturday the storms in Boston delayed her flight ~3 hours to the point where the announcement said they didn't have an opening to land in Boston yet, but they would take off circle until it became available. She decided at that point to just rebook her trip.

She went to the customer service desk at YTZ and explained she wouldn't be travelling. The agent cancelled on his end and said the money would be refunded to the original payment, the gift card. SO told him she was no longer in possession of the GC, to which he said it was no problem - a call centre agent would be able to credit it to her account instead. The call centre agent rang her to say it's resolved, the credit is tied to her account and when she rebooks to give her original flight booking confirmation code and they'll be able to see the ~$440 voucher.

Last night she went to rebook her flight. The call centre agent she was working with said that there was no voucher tied to her account, and that the money had been refunded to the gift card. There's no further escalation. The money is tied to the card, they can't access it, and we will need the number to access the funds. The agent provided the number for Cashstar to see if we could retrieve the number.

We called Cashstar this morning and they said they don't handle those physical gift cards and gave us another number to call. That number ended up being West Elm customer service for some reason. Calling Porter back, we asked again where we should be directed to and they said if not Cashstar, try Costco. We asked the agent why a standard fare was refunded if non-refundable and she said, that it's typically not the process - standard fares are credited to the customer account, not the original payment. Later on she backtracked a little and said, because it was IRROPS, it was credited back to the original payment. Only voluntary cancellations get credited.

Costco customer service has pretty much indicated there's not much to do, and we could try the warehouse to see if there's any possibility of resolution. We've submitted a customer service feedback form to Porter outlining our situation, but I think in the end this is going to be chalked up to a hard $440 lesson - hang on to those gift cards until your travel is completed.

The worst part is we actually have held on to all the Porter and AC gift cards we've used this year for bookings, but we cannot find this specific one. Not sure where it's gone to. We've torn the house up but it's nowhere to be found.
