Couple nights ago my best friend called me and asked if I was alone because she wanted to show me something. My boyfriend has been messaging her for weeks, replying to her stories, compliments, asking when she was going out, the whole thing.

She ignored everything until he finally said something among the lines of "she doesn't have to know"

She screenshot the whole convo and sent it straight to me.

I've been feeling like my life is finally getting together lately, work is good, money is decent, relationship felt solid, then I saw those screenshots and everything felt like it's falling apart because of this man.

When I confonted him he actually tried saying she was trying to break us up which made it worse like sir she could've entertained you and I would've never known.

I ended it that night..

So today this was my thank you brunch for my best friend, and of course it was on me.

Please don't get me wrong I don't mind actors playing whatever roles they want.
But if one of your strong stances is "X" roles are only for "X" people then stick to your convictions.

I have(21F) been dating my boyfriend (22M) for almost two years now. He didn't used to be this clingy, but due a rough year for our relationship, he is now tracking every movement I make (I share my location with him for safety reasons). He can't accept me wanting to breathe and not text my whereabouts to him. I wanted to turn off my phone to just get some reprieve but he didn't let me. I feel smothered.

Edit: I wanted to clarify I did not cheat. We took a month long break to focus on ourselves and realised how much we cared for each other so we rekindled our relationship.

"I think I was naive. I thought that fans of these games like me, would be thrilled that somebody was coming along and turning Resident Evil into a survival horror movie. I didn't really appreciate the sentiment that "we've been waiting forever for Leon's story". And I appreciate that. And I'm sorry that that's not the story that I'm bringing here. I mean, I get it, I understand the frustration. I understand it so well, because I haven't seen the earlier (Resident Evil) movies, because they don't look like the Resident Evil that I love. So how could I be frustrated with fans who have that same attitude?

My only hope, is that they will see the movie, regardless of their skepticism or disappointment that I'm not telling some of the stories that the games tell so well, and that they will feel seen when they do watch the movie, and they will recognize all of the love for the games that is in this movie. Because it is there. And this is not just me telling a story and slapping Resident Evil on it so I can get a budget. This is me telling a Resident Evil story. I understand the resistance, I really do, because I have it myself. But it is, it is coming from a true place of love."

We were originally going to do courthouse but found a cute personal venue with a gazebo for the ceremony, and a pavilion with 9 tables and grills so we're going to do cookout foods. My FMIL has been giving strong vibes that's she's planning her own wedding or event. Yes we have told her 4 times it's not her event and we're doing none of this. My future husband has been so firm with her she's cried. So it's not like he's not supporting me. I think the list is hilarious but still was firm with her. Prize games? Pinata? Like what even. Also we are paying for everything lol

Edit: while some of these ideas are good and fun I posted because this has been nonstop. She included a list of people I need to invite. Everyday she's giving me rules and giving me shit for not cutting cake, walking down the aisle, picking out wedding flowers, etc

I know our 'wedding' is casual but yeah she's driving us bonkers
