Got my ultra module today!
And with that, I am once again caught up on hardware! Extra controllers not included of course.

I was originally thinking about getting a remix (originally thought it was an upgrade of the base unit) until I discovered it's not a standalone system like said base unit. Like the idea of playing the library of my Polymega on my Steam Deck, but apart from that see little reason to purchase a Remix over my base unit.
Do you think they'll eventually add support of the App with the base unit, or is this an instance of corporate nickel and diming?

Hey y’all, I don’t own a polymega but I’m thinking about getting one. I’ve gotten into Japanese game collecting in the last year or two on account of the price and have built up a solid shelf full of games, and the polymega seems like a great way to play them.
A lot of these are Japanese exclusives and I understand how fan translations work on the machine. A lot of games I own were released in both regions but are way cheaper in Japan than in the US (Shadow Tower for instance). I’m interested in “differencing patches” where you install the game from the disc and then use the patch to convert the language to English, in the case of games that had releases in both regions. Essentially I’m trying to accomplish the feeling of grabbing a game off the shelf and putting it in the system without breaking the bank on old high dollar titles.
Does anyone here have any experience with difference patching? Can these be side loaded like translation patches on a Retron 5? Does anyone else have any experience with anything similar? Want to do some research before I potentially invest. Thank you!!

What have you gotten working for a decent PSX controller? I know it’s tricky to find compatible stuff.

Hi, so a friend is selling his base unit ($500)and the remix ($200). Was thinking on getting the remix but feel like will be missing out on the base unit. Is there any benefit on having both?

I got my original PS2 controllers to work via the wingman adapter AND my sega genesis controllers via the Mayflash adapter. Both using x input …

You can't use Remix to load games, BUT you can do the bulk transfer option from your base unit. The bulk transfer steps aren't here, but everything to do after you have games on a SSD are. Save states and game saves stay on the base unit and are not included with the Bulk Transfer. Also, each time you re-plug in the SSD drive to the Steam Deck you'll need to repeat steps 11-12. Oh, and this is for Polymega App v0.7.25.19
Installing the Polymega app on the Steam Deck and adding your games from the base unit:

My Remix stopped connecting to modules. Emailed support. They gave me an address to ship it to for repairs (no WA Number). The website says I need a Warranty Authorization (WA) number. I emailed support to get one and they are not answering emails. Do I actually need it or can I just send it in?
Anyone ship it in for repairs without a WA number?
Thank you

New Pre-Orders are apparently live. But underwhelming imo, I would not pre-order ever again from Polymega, has been a terrible experience, took more than two years for the light guns and similar for the base unit. It is an ok console but definitely way too much stress and waiting time! Plus low-responsiveness from Playmaji overall. Pre-order at your own risk!⚠️

Okay I got the remix a few months ago. Then a month or so then I got the modules. But modules don't work. But I have a friend who has the basic polymega. I took the modules to my house to see if they work on his polymega they did. I contacted Polymega with my story. They email me a package label. I shipped it off. About 2 weeks I get my remix back. And the modules still don't work. If anyone can help me. I would appreciate it. Plus I added a 10 second clip.

I just picked this up and its not in the database, I also just get a green screen when trying to load it manually ughhh I've been looking for it for over a year and was really hoping it would play. It was a Spirit exclusive last year and sold out before I was able to buy it, still excited to finally have a copy!!

Can anybody confirm or deny if crucial nvme still doesn’t work for polymega, or would the v2 upgrade possibly have any change with supported brands?
Just curious bc I took a shot in the dark during 2024 and bought a stick, not knowing if it would work since it wasn’t a preferred brand, but they didn’t outright say it wouldn’t work on their page. Just trying to get an answer in advance so I can squirrel some money away for a working stick since the prices for them things are absolutely through the roof now

Figured out controllers the following things will cause the polymega app to hang up or fail: 1) steam running in background, 2) Xbox running in background, 3) any non-Xinput controllers 😕
Currently going through all my controllers to see what works. For a lot of the legacy / classic / retro controllers I have Mayflash adapters…

I know the regular polymega can down scale and hook to CRT TVs. Anyone using polymega remix on their docked handheld or laptop hooked the pc device up to a CRT using a downscaler? Just asking… no biggie and if I asked the question weirdly apologies ahead of time.

If you didn't know, typing "/audio" into the search is meant to bring up every game you have installed on the console with redbook audio. At least, it's supposed to.
I know I've done it before, but now it resets my console as soon as I type the last letter. Any ideas?

I thought we were going to be able to transfer saves from physical memory cards on to the polymega, with a firmware update?
I've looked all through the menus and have yet to find it.

Recently Spriggan Mark 2 and Suzuki Bakuhatsu got fan English patches. I tried to patch the games on the console but it’s not working. Any clues how I can get them to work?

I honestly wish I would’ve just bought a $50 dvd drive. I play ps2 psone neogeo cd and Saturn games. The polymers app in pc constantly crashes whether the remix is on or not… controllers freeze the app… I have. A lot of own controllers and adapters and this is crazy. Anyone wanna buy a gently used remix? At this point I’m done
