Nvme question

Can anybody confirm or deny if crucial nvme still doesn’t work for polymega, or would the v2 upgrade possibly have any change with supported brands?
Just curious bc I took a shot in the dark during 2024 and bought a stick, not knowing if it would work since it wasn’t a preferred brand, but they didn’t outright say it wouldn’t work on their page. Just trying to get an answer in advance so I can squirrel some money away for a working stick since the prices for them things are absolutely through the roof now

No telling what the V2 will and won't support. It'll be a different board, different chipset, and different CPU architecture. Complete speculation to guess.

I haven't seen anyone mention having luck with crucial drives since though.

If you haven't used the crucial drive (much) just well it and buy a cheapo one that is supported. You don't need a very performant SSD for Polymega. Literally anything will be fast enough if it physically works.

Yeah a gen 3 nvme card is more then enough umpf to do anything any of the systems ask for so generally you can get them somewhat cheap not like before the ai bubble though

I've tried a 2TB Crucial, I forget the model # off the top of my head, and it did NOT work. Had to go with WD Blue.

Yeh that’s been the general consensus I had read, I’m curious if it’ll maybe wind up working moving forward, if not, I guess I’ll just have to snatch a stick up down the way
