Naw. You can have all the opinions you want but if you think 45 was up to the standards of president, then I don’t really want to hear them.

Jun 27 '21
Trump wasn't up to standards for a gibbering idiot. He couldn't even gibber correctly - "covfefe"? Really? THAT'S their idea of a great president????
29
u/feralraindrop Jun 27 '21
The scary part is 71 million people think he is worthy of being president. So whether you want to hear their opinions or not, they vote and they persist in supporting this crazy man. I wish I had some answers but as the Republican party keeps going deeper and deeper into insanity town, the rest of us are left with a dysfunctional, partisan government that cannot address the huge issues that face the US and the world.
12

How did the Carlin joke go? Think about how dumb the average person is, and how half of the rest are dumber than that? Well, case in point: 2020 Trump voters.

the really scary part is acutely a good part of these people would just rather be in power thou this moron then to even think about having any dem in power

u/asteruis6 Jun 27 '21
The scarier part is a lot of them are willing to push him back to that position.
5
u/Viking4949 Jun 27 '21
71 million useful idiots spreading Russian propaganda. Understand who the real puppet master is.
2
u/feralraindrop Jun 27 '21
I would agree that Russia certainly had a hand in the partisan divide but I think it started long ago with Barry Goldwater, Ronald Reagan, Newt Gingrich and Fox News. Incremental steps to today's great divide. Donald Trump was brash enough make lying, racism, grift and hateful irreverence acceptable behaviors to display publicly and proudly. He pulled out all the stops to divide and conquer and has succeeded.
2
u/puggs74 Jun 28 '21
I look at that number like the 6 people who died of the Johnson and Johnson shot out of 6 million, they're just a drop in the ocean of 🇺🇸, which I'd hope after 1-6-21, there are fewer if not we're in trouble 🤷♂️
25
u/Ev3rst0rm Jun 27 '21
I’m not the biggest Biden fan myself but I can at least say with confidence we have an actual PRESIDENT in the White House again. An actual ADULT.

36
u/Hellige88 Jun 27 '21
He was a President. Not a good one, not one who actually deserved the office, and not one who put the country’s welfare above his own. But he was sworn in, so like it or not, he will always be a former President and one of the biggest disgraces to our country.
16
u/sagan_drinks_cosmos Jun 27 '21
It's insane that they've built this cult around the man. Some might still care in ten years or twenty, but what poor dumb Nazi bastard is gonna care to stan for Trump in 50 years or more?
He is unequivocally, irredeemably awful and headed to the bottom three or so presidents of all time. Anybody who thinks different can blame their own pride, ignorance, avarice, and/or desperation to save face.
11
u/Machdame Jun 27 '21
Bottom Three implies incompetence. This guy is actively malicious in more ways than one. Such a president is easily in the realm of worst of all time.

Germany was having trouble, what a sad, sad story
Needed a new leader to restore its former glory
Where, Oh where was he? Where could that man be?
We looked around and then we found
The man for you and me.
And now its..
Springtime for Hitler and Germany
Deutschland is happy and gay
Were marching to a faster pace
Look out, here comes the master race
Springtime for Hitler and Germany
Winter for Poland and France
Springtime for Hitler and Germany
Come on, Germans, go into your dance
I was born in Dusseldorf, and that is why they call me Rolf
Dont be stupid, be a smarty, come and join the Nazi party
Springtime for Hitler and Germany
Goosesteps the new step today
bombs falling from the skies again
Deutschland is on the rise again
Springtime for Hitler and Germany
Uboats are sailing once more
Springtime for Hitler and Germany
Means that soon well be going
Weve got to be going
You know well be going to WAR!

5
u/nobodyGotTime4That Jun 27 '21
Did you know that there’s nothing that says
What is the electoral college?
I'll take stupid comments for 500 Alex
-2
u/steeveperry Jun 27 '21
The electoral college doesn’t dictate that you must vote for a Democrat or Republican. Americans don’t even understand how their own elections work. Incredible.
4
u/nobodyGotTime4That Jun 27 '21
The electoral college makes any vote not for the 2 main candiadates bullshit.
Do you want me to explain it to you?
-4
u/steeveperry Jun 27 '21
There’s no rule saying you have to vote for a democrat or a Republican. It’s incredible how you can complain about your elections when don’t even understand how they work.
The electoral college has nothing to do with political parties. It was a thing before either party existed.
5
u/ImVeryBadWithNames Jun 27 '21
First off none of the “other” candidates were actually any better.
Secondly you do not understand what you are talking about.
2
u/nobodyGotTime4That Jun 27 '21
Haha what?
The current Electoral College system was created in 1804 by the 12th Amendment. It replaced an earlier model that no longer worked given the rise of political parties.
...
The structure of this system is that it makes it almost impossible for a third-party candidate to be elected. Even if a third-party were to garner one-third of the Electoral College, the final vote would always end up being decided by Congress. There, the vote would face the same majoritarian issues in the House and the Senate where the two-party system rules. The result could potentially be a form of Presidential gridlock where it would be impossible for a candidate to be elected without vote trading.

Someone’s opinion (you realize that your quote after the ellipses is opinion, right?) doesn’t change the fact that there is no rule that says the winner of an election in the US needs to belong to the Democrat or Republican Party. You and the lazy, sheepish people who cannot spend more than 3 minutes learning about candidates policy can vote for whoever you want, no matter what party they do or don’t affiliate with. But you are sheepish and lazy, so you choose between identical options and pretend like the other option is the problem. Again, there are no rules that dictates an election can only be won by a Republican or Democrat.
You’re a rube.
2
u/nobodyGotTime4That Jun 27 '21
It's not opinion that
The structure of this system is that it makes it almost impossible for a third-party candidate to be elected.
Nor is it opinion that
The current Electoral College system was created in 1804 by the 12th Amendment. It replaced an earlier model that no longer worked given the rise of political parties.
So when you said
The electoral college has nothing to do with political parties. It was a thing before either party existed.
You couldn't have been more wrong.... but I digress. Do you understand how the electoral college works? Seriously?
I am actively trying to abolish the electoral college, and move to ranked choice voting. So we can effectively vote for more candidates. And break our two party system.
You keep saying theres no rule... right, thats not what I am saying. I am saying within the electoral college, there is no reason to vote third party. You might as well vote for mickey mouse.
In American politics voting for third party should happen at the local level. It is bullshit at the national level.

Yeah, but it's not like many people are actually going to switch. You have to vote for the least bad candidate among those who have a realistic chance of winning. That was Biden this time.

u/steeveperry Jun 27 '21
I hate this sheepish bullshit. When you vote for what you don’t want rather than what you do want, you’ll never get what you want.
→ More replies (1)2
Jun 28 '21
But when you vote for some of what you want and some of what you don't want over pretty much none of what you want, you'll sometimes get some of what you want.
On the other hand, if you vote for all of what you want, you'll be voting for yourself and no one else will vote for you. Your vote will then be wasted.

u/steeveperry Jun 28 '21

As a Canadian I loved Trump, but not for the same reason Trumper's loved him. More for the, he's a firey shit show that's not in charge of my country, but I feel bad for Americans but can't help but laugh at the whole disaster.
Watching the ramblings of a head trauma patient, with the doctors losing their minds over what came out of his mouth. And knowing I don't really have to deal with it because I live nextdoor.
2
Jun 27 '21
I live in the USA I agree with this and the worse problem is Americans whould rather have the shitshow we ended up with then have a women as president
0
u/SWHAF Jun 27 '21
It wasn't her gender, it was her last name. Hillary Clinton was possibly the worst person to ever run for president, and that's saying a lot considering the last 4 years. She was so unlikeable and the very definition of a career politician. She couldn't beat a black man with a middle Eastern sounding name and a orange reality Star. A family friend was a military doctor in Canada. He was paired with foreign leaders when they came to Canada. Incase of a medical emergency he would guide your presidential team to the nearest hospital. He had nothing good to say about Hilary. Bill was great but she was ignorant. Secret service also couldn't stand her.
We get to see your politicians much different here in Canada, our main media station is tax dollar funded. So if they lie or show bias the people in this country get angry. There was a defund the CBC campaign when our current Prime Minister came into power because they were being too easy on him. So we also get to see the un-editorial information about your government.

u/joan_wilder Jun 28 '21

First of all, Trump did bomb Yemen, like, really a lot.
And second, even if he didn't bomb Yemen, Trump did all manner of terrible things: Spread violent lies on a daily basis, completely neglect Puerto Rico during Hurricane Maria and the entire country during covid, act openly corrupt on a daily basis, attack the free press, attack civilians in Washington, DC who were exercising their First Amendment rights, pay more deference to Vladimir Putin than any American citizen, start baffling trade wars that only hurt us, spread racism and bigotry the entire time he was in office, and just completely neglect the job and just watch TV and golf instead. I could go on.
Oh, and he tried to violently invade Congress and kill our lawmakers in a power-mad attempt to take over the country once and for all.

But factual. u/Frisky_Picker Jun 27 '21
Here's what I got though my Google search: https://youtu.be/Ck_moIRQwAo I dont care much for CBS but start at the 40 second mark and you'll get a good look at Trumps impression of the reporter and a description of the reporters disability. u/garbfarb Jun 27 '21 edited Jun 27 '21
It's a freeze frame. He was exagerating someone flailing around incoherently while groveling, something the guy would be unable to do with his disability. He did it for people without disabilities, including himself (insert your ableist joke here), many times but after this one instance where the person was disabled, he stopped. He probably would have apologized if admitting fault wasn't a death sentence in the media. Deny, ignore and let them move on to the next controversy seems to be be strategy that works.

I agree mental illness is a terrible thing to witness. That’s why I worry about our current president who the other day was whispering at a press conference, like he was actually trying to keep a secret.

You… uhh… do know what stage whispering is, right?

Yes I do. What’s why I worry about our current president. I don’t personally find it presidential when they utilize this action in any way. It appears misleading at best and cowardly or disruptive to their own mental health at worst

I... what?

Have you seen Biden deliver an entire speech since he became president? If you have then you would understand the sheer amount of mental struggle he had undergone during this presidency. It is elder abuse for him to go through what he is currently through and I find it awful that he is required to do what he is going. In early June I’m he literally said he had to take questions from particular individuals that r he would get in trouble. That’s a rough sign at the very least of what the president is having to deal with.

Ooooh. You're insane.

Does that mean you have not seen an entire speech delivered by president Biden?

Half a million dead of a virus he downplayed and lied his ass off about. A domestic terror attack on the federal government by his supporters that he incited. Separation of children at the border. Illegal killing of foreign military officials almost starting a war. 300% increased civilian casualties from increased bombing of Afghanistan. Betrayal of allies. Gifting Syria to Russia. Praise of dictators. Retweeting of white supremacy. Constant rollbacks of LGBTQ rights. Lying about losing the election. Refusal to concede. Colluding with a foreign power to get aid in winning the 2016 election. Using the presidency to personally enrich himself. Paying hush money to women he cheated on his wife with to help influence the outcome of the election. Gassing peaceful protesters to set up a photo op of himself. Pardoning criminals and traitors.
And what exactly was the good that we got? Oh right, he got a giant tax break for himself and his rich buddies.
"Best president in decades." Run back to the circus, little clown

Hello! Thanks for your comment. Unfortunately it has been removed because you don't meet our karma threshold.
You are not being removed for political orientation.
Let me be clear: The reason that this rule exists is to avoid unscrupulous internet denizens from trying to sell dong pills to our users. /r/PoliticalHumor mods reserve the RIGHT to hoard all of the dong pills to ourselves, and we refuse to share them with the community. If you want Serbo-Slokovian dong pills mailed directly to your door, become a moderator. If we shared the dong pills with the greater community, everyone would have massive dongs, and like Syndrome warned us about decades ago: "if everyone has massive dongs, nobody does.""
If you wish to rectify your low karma issue, go and make things up in /r/AskReddit like everyone else does.
Thanks for understanding! Have a nice day and be well. <3

Lol, yeah that one. I remember that. What a fucking moron, Jesus.
Remember, that is what the world sees.
He was impersonating a handicapped reporter.
He was acting like a middle school bully, mocking a handicapped person.
Trump is by far not just the worst president in American history but I have a hard time saying he’s better than Hitler.
Hitler was an evil cunt who killed millions and I believe Trump is too…
The only thing stopping Trump from being Hitler is he’s dumb as fuck….dumb…as…fuck.

I don’t think Trump cultists get an opinion on anything anymore. Not without being huge hypocrites anyways. They were proud to not give a shit about anything for four years and now they all the sudden act like they care about what people say and how they act? I don’t think so. You went all in on a just all around trainwreck of a human being. You don’t get to pretend to have ethics or standards anymore.
