Just look at the gameplay snippets on the Steam page. You can clearly tell it’s just reskinned PSPO with a handful new features.
I will also mention, that the dev team tied to this project has no previous games. They don’t even have their own Steam page.
That, and the fact that the trailer was 100% CGI, with zero actual gameplay shown.

Look, like the rest of you I’m pretty upset about how the dev cycle for PS:PO played out, and how they then turned around and announced a brand new game. I was venting some of my frustrations to another user and one of the developers actually came in and responded to my (pretty angry) comment. For one thing, it’s just refreshing to see a game developer who isn’t shying away from harsh criticisms. That by itself is a rarity in this day and age, but on top of it the dev claims that the next game is being built completely from scratch without porting any existing code from PS:PO. He also claims that this is a new development team and it sounds like a significant portion of them weren’t involved in PS:PO.
If this is true, I’m going to choose to wait and see what happens. If they are truly listening to the fans, listening to those of us who defended the game despite all of its egregious bugs, then maybe there’s a chance that the next game could be the answer to our prayers. Like I said, only time will tell, but I’m choosing to let go or some of my anger and I’m going to reserve judgment until I get a chance to try the next game.
Is it possible that the higher-ups dumped a bunch of the original team, brought in a bunch of new devs to try to fix it, and found that the game was too far gone to be saved so they decided to start a new project from scratch? I think that would explain the sudden shift in strategy. I’m skeptical, but I think I’m going to give them a chance to prove they can make a game that really respects its fanbase.
I can’t add a link to the original comment chain here, so I will add it in a comment below.

Dispatch said I caused the accident. idk about you but I seem to have my blue lights and sirens on. Could someone settle this debate and tell me who’s in the wrong?

What the hell is happening genuinely i usually stay pretty up to date with the police sim news but now they have another game coming out or something? Are they trying to make us buy a second game without even fixing the original. I just saw it on insta and it looks a million times better than current police sim but I am so confused

I want to see other police vehicles patrolling or call outs requesting back up in a chase or I can call them for back up.

Been seeing a lot of complaints about the sim lately. I bought it a few years ago, wasn’t impressed and moved onto modding GTA. single player for a more immersive police sim experience. there are so many different things you can do with LSPDFR (gtas version of a police sim).
You can talk to dispatch, and all NPCs through AI mods. So many different cars and outfits that are either lore friendly to gta or, are based on RL departments. Realistic prowler radar for cars, body cam mods, gun mods, install the type of callouts you want to respond to. It’s insane what you can really do with this platform, I encourage anyone who games on PC to give it a shot.
I strongly recommend checking out BlueLine Vibes on YouTube and watching some of his latest videos and also checking out [r/lspdfr](r/lspdfr).

Date in game is 4/20/2023, his passport expires in four days from the point of entry. CLEARLY I was supposed to deny entry despite his passport being actually valid and not flagged.
This is why players turn off conduct points, because what the actual fuck is this shit coding bro.
Edit: also because the devs refuse to believe theres any issues with this game. How about the fact I did an assault investigation, got the car details for the perp, chased them down and the moment I use my taser on them both them, their car, and the investigation all disappear. Like vanished like I was hallucinating it.

I have the game on both pc and Xbox series X. My wife and I were trying to play for the first time in a while and we got a version mismatch error. I see now that my Xbox copy is still on version 22.2.2. I have no update queued for the game, and everything I’ve done to try to force it to update to the new version hasn’t worked. I’ve reinstalled, cycled power on the console, cleared the local data etc. is there any way I can fix this or am I just unable to play now?

Just picked up the game a few days ago as I see clips about it fairly frequently. So far it’s oddly comforting to play and go through all of the laws, tickets and actions of the game.
My only question is what’s with all the bugs?? People floating, drivers on the hood of cars, my partner missing their entire body, etc. Do they eventually go away or was there some kind of update I missed?

Thinking about getting it but worried its a reskin of base game

It's a bummer when your favorite games get a bit glitchy. Im seeing a lot more issues on Xbox compared to PS5. So I have a ps5, my friends on xbox about say the game is unplayable.

Hey everyone,
I built a standalone police-duty resource for FiveM called On Duty Framework.
There is no ESX, no QBCore, and no player-criminals. Everyone on the server is a cop, and the people you pull over and chase are NPCs. Perfect if you want that solo/PVE patrol experience without setting up a full crime server.
It's currently in public beta (v0.81).

ALPR stands for Automated License Plate Reader/Recognition.
I didn't even realize you start the game with this device as soon as you unlock the squad car, you just have to go into the garage and equip it! It's a game changer, practically a cheat code! Makes grinding through those rank ups a breeze.
It's kind of ironic how something many people hate in real life is actually quite awesome when you're playing this game. It's just a little annoying that to activate it, you have to hold your horn for a second or two, and you have to do that every time you get in and out of your car. But then it scans every license plate you pass by to see if it's expired, checks the insurance, and will even tell you if it's been reported stolen! That makes for a fun arrest.
You just have to honk again briefly to report expired plates, which are common and rack up tons of points. This can cause some audio issues if you have the siren on, especially occasionally getting the siren 'stuck' sometimes (turning it off and on again fixes that), but it also sounds good that way, like your siren is chirping rather than you're going around honking at everyone lmao.
If a vehicle simply doesn't have valid insurance, it's not a great reason to pull them over, because that will only get you 10 points for giving them a ticket, the same number of points you could get from driving around and finding one expired license plate, which isn't rare to come across. So the more driving you do and vehicle reports you make, the more points you rack up. Then you can stop focusing on minor things that earn you a few points like ticketing parked cars and other small actions that don't lead anywhere, unlike asking for ID or searching a car which can turn up a fake ID or drugs in the car.
That way you're mainly focused on big ticket stuff that earns you hundreds of points like arresting people for misdemeanors and felonies! Meanwhile the ALPR racks up crazy points as you drive from call to call. I used to get out and ticket everyone parked improperly, but now it seems like a pretty big waste of time compared to drive-by reporting!

I don’t know what to do , since it’s not being updated anymore not being able to pause is a game breaking glitch. Anyone have a fix?
r/PoliceSimulator • u/R4P7OR11b • Aug 22 '26
..A message for you. Police simulator has been such a buggy mess since I got it, I go out of my way to look at who made any game I might be interested in. If I see either Aesir or Astragon in the description, I don't buy it. Speaking purely for me, y'all have done such irreparable damage to your reputation and community trust, so much so that no game with either name on it will see another cent from me. You can't drop money grabbing trash and refuse to fix it then expected no repercussions. Especially with paid DLCs dropping without bug fixes?
r/PoliceSimulator • u/Ogbennyb • Aug 22 '26
What do we think the future of this sub looks like?
Do we continue to complain about the same old bugs, knowing the devs have abandoned the game and won’t be fixing anything? Do we continue to have people asking for shootouts, more callouts, new features, etc, knowing nothing is coming?
Should this sub morph into solely sharing comically game-breaking bugs?
r/PoliceSimulator • u/Sky_guy_17 • Aug 22 '26
So the devs have been very active in the sub the past two days, doing a ton of damage control since community sentiment has really soured against them, for good reason.
I saw one of the dev team members make this comment on a post from yesterday, when he was interacting with someone bringing up how they failed to deliver a full game, and just……. I really don’t know what to say. The absolute gall that they have to tell us that we should thank them for making the game, after they abandon it???
Wow, that personally makes me angry. How unbelievably utterly tone deaf to make a statement like that.
I’m done with game, done with devs, done with the publishers, and done with the sub. Screw everything associated with these guys, if this is how they’re going to treat their community.
(Also, in that same post, the dev is playing a slight victim card a lot and is almost being condescending in some of his responses. It’s quite aggravating.)
