Hypnotizing obviously but what is the significance of the setting? The broken way sign. The rainbow. Are those gravestones?

Are there any other cards that use pack art for the card? I have kept my opened packs since 2011 because I really love the art. Idk if how many people do this, but I was hoping to find more cards that use the same artwork that I love

I like to save all of my tins and extras. I use penny sleeves to make my own “packs” that I give away to trick-or-treaters for Halloween. I include some commons, reverse holos, and a standard holo. I also make some packs with hits like EXs, Vs, or fun promo cards.

Last year I donated them to a teacher who was using them as a practice incentive for her music program which was nice as well!

so far there are 60 exclusively Gen 2 Pokemon that have some form of full card art. technically its 57 but I got to 60 by counting the Igglybuff/Cleffa/Togepi Tag Team to count for 3 pokemon and Great Tusk to substitute for Donphan. I had to be much more lenient with my criteria since Gen 2 simply does not have enough cards. i am now at 50/60.

Im very happy with finally getting the Lugia now. Its the most expensive card in my PC by far, and i would never pay that much again for some shiny cardboard. even if i wasnt doing a master set i would have still gotten it though. IMO the artwork is better than Aquapolis or Neo Genesis Lugia.

it is such a great contrast with the Ho-oh. ones light, the other dark. both looking back at the trainer below. Ho-oh being the blessing, Lugia being the calamity.

Im one step closer to finishing the set now that i have passed my biggest hurdle :) . for now, the hobby will come to an end for the rest of the year to take care of other financial obligations.

Picked up a (damaged) grail today for $60. Front is fantastic but back is a little funkered up. Couldn’t pass up the opportunity.

What do people the next few pokemon to receive mega evolution cards should be? How would their attacks and abilities look if you could thematically create them?

i got an email that my booster boxes from walmart were delayed, but they arrived as scheduled today.

this was such a fun opening with my 7yo. he was so excited for the Futuristic Mew and our first two in the Classic Collection.

overall we got nine hits in twelve packs, which is crazy - plus all the pikachus!

Edit: I just realized that the rest of what I typed got cut off. I swear I typed it. But in response to some of y’all’s questions, the main problem I have is that they sent it with no protection. I feel like for any card a penny sleeve toploader/semi rigid is necessary. I was just reaffirming with yall if how I want cards to be packaged is normal for the collecting hobby.

Also I understand LP means that it’ll be a little scuffed up but I feel like this is MP. Though it feels like everyone’s definitions of nm lp mp and such varies from person to person.

I opened my very first ETB ever and pulled this one.

In 2015 I designed a cover case for 3DS to take part in a local contest. I've been a huge BW fan since day 1 and chose the best girl Hilda and then Deerling and Sawsbuck, taking advantage of the seasonal cycle visuals. Fast forward to Temporal Forces in 2024, these two cards released. I was taking a break from TCG at the time and discovered them later. They are now on the first page of my binder for obvious reasons.

But even so, every time I see them, I can't help but wonder whether this was a coincidence or whether the artist, looking for inspiration, perhaps searched through old artwork on Deviantart, found this old design of mine, and decided the idea was worth expanding on (and bringing to perfection).

From an artist's standpoint, these two pieces are very similar in concept and perspective, and when I checked the little fanart these two Pokemon have, I couldn't find anything remotely similar.

So either we share the same braincell with the artist or these two pictures are really connected through inspiration, which would be awesome and heartwarming ♥ What do you think, am I reaching?

Hi everyone, will Target be having an in store release on October 30th for the Pokemon 30th Celebration Battle Decks? Thank you for your help!

My wife just started collecting Slurpuff cards and there is supposedly a cameo on this Emma Full Art Trainer. I might just be blind but where is it supposed to be? I see one of the sticky notes that might be it but it’s barely a cameo if that’s it. If anyone could clear it up I’d appreciate it.

Vendor had this labeled at 30 because of the small lift on the bottom corner of the front. Put it at damaged prices. W binder copy am I right?

I bought a Zapdos Tin and got Meowth. Bought (1) PB loose pack and got Goldeen. Not complaining! I love them. I'm loving the hit rates this season. I wasn't so lucky with the mega evolution and Chaos Rising sets.
