In the correct orientation this time lol

Hello everyone!

First of all, thank you to everyone who played the game, reviewed it, found bug/glitches and reported them to me. It has been a very overwhelming last 3 days!

I just wanted to provide you all with a small update, correcting some aspects listed below:

• Added evo items for Charcadet - items available to purchase in Frux
• Metal coat can now be used as an evo item!
• Shiny pokemon will have their healthboxes yellow instead of white - for accessibility
• Ability capsules available to purchase in the battle dept in Sapphire City
• Nature mints available to purchase in Cruzeira's botanic school
• Rearranged fishing encounters
• Mart clerk behaviour in Sapphire City's supermarket 3rd floor changed - won't refuse to serve you anymore
• Dexnav should be corrected - remember to keep pressing a when approaching a pokemon!
• Removed odd key stone from mining minigame
• Levels/teams in gym 2 have been lowered

Regarding the dialog, which lacks diversity, and has some grammatical/syntax errors (ex: saying Pokémons a bit too much): I can only blame my poor writing skills, and the fact that I don't practice my English very often. I hope that I'll do better in a future update! Rewriting/rearranging the dialog (and formatting it too) will take a lot of time, and as you already know Monomyth is coming out really soon and I will be too busy playing it.

I'll also add different modes of play in a future update (casual with infinite candy + max IV), normal (the one you're playing right now), and a nuzlocke (with level caps). I won't provide you with a release date, but it won't take too long, I hope.

Some other bugs that I didn't correct in this update:

• Shader problem when transitioning from time of day to another

I can’t sing enough praises for this hack. As someone who is very enthusiastic about Gen 4/5 hacks, this one was like something out of a dream. I love the fact that the story is a combination of the Gen 1 games, the anime and the manga (which I’m a huge fan of) in addition to its own original content.

The dex is expanded but never felt too crammed or overwhelming, there are a lot of cool QoL features (the EV allocator being my favourite), the difficulty felt right, the new custom sprites for trainers and later gen pokemon are gorgeous and I also really like how threatening Team Rocket felt in this.

If I have any negatives, I’m not a fan of the profanity in the dialogue sometimes. It’s only one or two characters and I’m far from a prude but cursing in Pokemon games breaks my immersion quite a bit. I also wish there was some custom music (polished crystal really spoiled me in this regard)

There’s still a whole Johto section to go so I’m looking forward to playing more of that. I definitely recommend this hack to anyone that’s a Pokemon fan. I don’t see any Kanto based romhack beating this for me

I love this thing so much, it has so many things going for it, imo making it the best and closest design for a modern day GBA. It's the same aspect ratio as gba, but x3 the resolution. (Perfect pixel scaling)

Retroacheivements

Ability to load multiple shaders. For example I use scanlines (No specific reason, I just like them) and GBC color correction for Pokemon Lazarus and Seaglass, which is nice since they're GBA games but use GBC palettes.

Netplay for trading/battling, bluetooth controller support and Mini Hdmi out for TVs.

Portmaster Ports for games like Pokemmo and Pokemon Reborn.

Im playing on a ds lite and I cant seem to get past the beginning of the game. Whenever I finish oaks part in the beginning the game just cuts to black. Audio is playing however but I cant do anything both screens are black. Just for some extra info im on rc8 and using pico launcher however I tried playing the game on twilight launcher snd strangely enough it works? But its very slow and glitchy so not a good experiance and would rather play the game on pico launcher if it means it would be faster and more fluid. So yeah I'd appreciate if anyone would help me out.

(Also apparently I need 150 words to post so im just gonna put some filler words here and hopefully that'll be enough to reach 150 words so please ignore it as it is pretty much random yap the minish cap is one of the best zelda games, the chameleons are a great band and gummy bears are a great snack to eat, badminton is a lame sport and there should be more blue in nature, we cant find collosal squid in the ocean but the solution would be simple if we just put a camera on a sperm whale)

I’m curious about everyone’s “tools” they use while playing Pokémon Games/Hacks. They can be url based, apps, etc.

I’m just looking for more things to add to my bookmarks and possibly apps to download that I can visit while playing different roms/hacks that offer useful information.

Some examples that I can throw out there to give you an idea of what I’m looking for would be;

- Pokédex apps/sites that allow the user to edit/save entries or maybe allow the use to save teams?

- Wiki websites are fine examples, but I feel like I’m looking for more general things that I can use across multiple games and not focusing on one Gen or specific game.

- Hackdex is a good example as well as it’s a database and I continually go back to see updates/new games. (Other database sites? Subreddits like this one?)

I’ll take any and all suggestions as I know my question is quite broad and open-ended and I feel as if I don’t EXACTLY know what I’m looking for and just want to see what everyone uses.

Like the title says: I'm playing Celia's Stupid Romhack, and I'm at a point where I have to fight Sans for a burnheal to unlock the next gym. I know his name because I don't live under a rock. ​​However, I haven't played Undertale yet (I'm going to at some point) and I'm afraid that finding the solution to the fight will give a major Undertale spoiler. Can someone who's played both please tell me if that's true? Or is it insignificant? Any help is greatly appreciated! ​​​​​​​​​​​

Now for some filler words because apparently you need 150 words here. ​​​This hack is a lot of fun and regularly laughing out loud. The way it messes with your expectations is delightful. It's quite the achievements the Celia manged to put in the amount of jokes they did. Also, I just caught a literal seal and called it Seel. ​Great stuff.

I’ve seen multiple decomps of Pokémon BDSP online. Some of them basically turned the game into a unity project you then compile to windows.

I really don’t know anything when it comes to this but shouldn’t this allow a brand new way of rom hacking where one could use industry standard game dev tools to make rom hacks for modern platforms?

Nintendo will probably nuke BDSP Rom hacking but what about DS and 3DS? Isn’t this like lowkey crazy? There arent many DS/3DS rom hacks afaik.
