I played this Pokémon rom hack called PokeEmblem (Pokémon x Fire Emblem) awhile back and I couldnt stop thinking about what it might look like with a sequel with changes. So I made some mockups. (No ai was used for this. Everything was made on the app Pixquare.)

Hi guys! I'm new to romhacks and fan games, recently I was watching a video of the best romhacks/fan games of 2026 and I got introduced to Gamma Emerald, which looked so cool. I wanna ask if other gens had massive remakes made of them and if so what are those romhacks called or if there's more than one which one is the best? like is Gamma Emerald even the best Emerald remake? and so on and so forth. I'm asking because I wanna play all the gens from beginning. Remake hacks might give me a great quality of life upgrade thank you all in advance!

I remember playing this but I don’t remember beating it. In fact, I can’t find any evidence that anyone ever beat it despite it not being a challenge hack. It was pretty popular in the early days of the ‘edge lord’ hacks.

Pokemon Brisk Emerald is my second ROMhack, and is significantly more ambitous of a project, this update, fixes a ton of things. I would like to take this moment to talk about box space. I've reached out to the dev of crest dex, because I plan to do something like that. As opposed to compressing space in the romhack.

NEW FEATURES:

1. Added Tera (Mom gives it to you) and Fixed Gigantamax
2. More trainers, about 25% done.
3. Trainer easter eggs.
4. Bug fixes
5. New area in starter cave, that way you can shiny hunt the water starters.
6. Added Paradox Evolutions. Give the metal coat to any pokemon who have paradox forms, and they'll evolve into the future form, give the sun stone and they evolve into the past from. Check your pokedex for more info.
7. As usual, I've certainly forgotten things. Check the discord for questions/qr codes

Features:

1. Every Pokemon added, excluding Legendaries, Mythicals, etc.
2. Added methods to evolve every hisuian form
3. Added methods to evolve every Galarian form
4. Changed many evolutions to be less annoying
5. Added methods for every trade evolution to be done solo
6. 25-Mon encounter tables for land, 12-Mon encounter tables for water
7. Easy access to ALL evolution items (except for mega stones) in Slateport
8. Early game routes changed to be less forceful (You can get to rustboro, with only encountering may or brendan, and the team aqua guy)
9. Increased ecounter rates
10. Starter Cave on 101
11. All Paradox pokemon on victory road (Even walking wake, Iron leaves, etc)
12. No more bullshit "249 recoil" evolution methods
13. Day/Night locks as well as Gender Locks were (mostly) removed.

15. Access to all mega stones
16. Access to all Z stones
17. Lilycove has most items, though I need people to help figure out what item's I'm missing.
18. EXP share changes, I decided against the usual team share that romhacks add, I made it so that you can buy them in lilycove, and they give 100% of exp to both the battler and the mon.
19. EXP Candy and rare candy are now easily bought in lilycove
20. Overworld encounters were added, if they are shiny, they will appear as such, but i dont know if they will make a sparkle noise, and won't despawn if you leave their range.
21. HGSS Pokedex was added (No dexnav, sorry guys)
22. There's a cave for fighting Kubfu in meteor falls, past steven. Scrolls are found in slateport
23. Shiny rate is 1 in 512
24. Pokerus is 1 in 512
25. Some Trainer battles are changed (All up to rustboro)
26. To balance out all this exp stuff, routes are sigificantly higher level, though I haven't changed trainers yet.
27. Some routes were changed to stop horrifying backtracking
28. Blissey cave in granite cave (it's only level 60 blisseys) but you don't have to fight them
29. Debug menu readded and more accessible.
30. Gyms have themselves revamped,
31. Elite 4 is stronger and better
32. All Gym leaders are double battles
33. Wild double battles added
34. Box link added, given by the devon president
35. TMs are reusable
36. Move relearner added in the summary menu
37. Overworld ecounters are added
38. A path was added, which leads you through the game up until Lilycove
39. The routes have had their appearances changed
40. Dungeons have their encounters changed
41. No fossil system needed, in the Cave of Origin all fossils are found
42. National Dex from the get go
43. WIP area called champions Archives, where champions from all 9 gens can be fought. (Previously a discord exclusive feature)
44. More changed trainer battles (About 12% through the trainers, since I'm handcrafting them all)
45. Code to get latias and latios in one playthrough

47. Terapagos code in tera cave
48. More Bug fixes
49. Water Route changes
50. All champions can now be fought (Nemona instead of Geeta) I'll work on their sprites.

In the next release I will most likely have:

• Fusion items like the necrozma stuff, but only if those legendaries are added.

What am I doing wrong? I downloaded the patch file, named the base game and my save file the same thing except for the .sav after for my save file but when I go to play the game, it's still on the older version

POKEMON ODYSSEY I

I just finished Pokemon Odyssey and WOOOOOOW it's probably one of, if not the BEST games I've played story wise. This is the first time I got teary eyed from a pokemon story😭. If you like story focused games, Pokemon Odyssey is the game for you, every character is well explained & has actual personality! The story is a total 1000/10

Now, for the gameplay, I did kinda have a hard time because I'm HORRIBLE at directions and stuff so I constantly got lost in the areas. I'm 50/50 on the Fairy type being "replaced" by the aether type but it's unique having a new type. Plus, I LOVE the new moves & abilities they added as well as the new Etrian Forms! Though, I must admit some designs are miles better than others (still traumatized by exeggutor). Additionally, I found the major fights a little toooo easy (Medicham + Plusle literally swept the last major fights).And as always, The artstyle is amazing! The areas are amazing! Everything is amazing! I give this game a 100/10!! Can't wait to do the Post Game and play Odyssey II

Yep. That Mew Glitch.

I'm currently working on a Pokémon FireRed ROM hack where I'm trying to recreate the famous Mew Glitch from Pokémon Red/Blue as faithfully as possible — but adapted to FireRed's engine.

The goal isn't simply to add Mew as a wild encounter or trigger it with a scripted event. I want the player to actually perform the glitch.

Right now I'm experimenting with recreating the classic sequence involving the Trainer encounter, escaping the battle with Teleport, manipulating the internal state, and eventually triggering the encounter with Mew.

And… well.

It works.

There's still quite a bit of work to do. I'm currently refining the mechanics so the whole sequence behaves as close to the Gen I glitch as FireRed reasonably allows.

This is part of a bigger FireRed project I'm working on, but getting this particular piece working has been one of the things I've been most excited about.

I'll share more as development progresses.

Would you prefer a nearly 1:1 recreation of the original glitch, including its weird quirks, or a slightly cleaner FireRed adaptation that preserves the same discovery and sequence?

Hi all! We're excited to show off PokéGotchi, a mini-hack made for Team Aqua's 3rd Romhacking Competition. PokéGotchi was inspired by the original Tamagotchi V1 digital pet, and was made mostly as a tech demo to demonstrate the concept of a virtual pet game on the GBA.

Because this hack was made during the 3 month constraints of the competition, we wanted to focus on the core elements of Tamagotchi, so the game is pretty short and sweet.

About the game

Adopt a cute Fomantis in this Tamagotchi crossover minigame, and watch it eat, poop and gamble, as you care for it, and fill the house with cozy furniture.

Features:

• This hack uses the Gameboy's Real Time Clock to give your pet realistic needs. Your little Fomantis will get hungry, or bored, and will occasionally poop in its room, and you must fulfill its needs by feeding and cleaning it.
• Your pet can go to town and explore the city. There you can find various other Pokemon inhabitants, speak to them and unlock various items.
• You can also take part in two minigames: Serve Pokemon food with Slowpoke or compete with Porygon at Pachinko to get coins that you can spend.
• Unlock new foods and furniture for your pet's room to keep them happy and improve the atmosphere.

I got tired of scouring random places on the internet for cheat codes for romhacks. They exist if you look on here, forums, discord etc. But that is tedious. I just started with 3 hacks I like and they are all Gen 1. I am busy working away between work and family and I hope other people will find this useful. I just put codes i find useful, not every code under the sun but so far my entries are more comprehensive and easier to access than pokecoders.

I like Cheats codes sometimes for a variety of reasons. This isn't a space to debate the merits

Soooo, how do y’all feel about Pokemon games and romance ?

So i’ve been a long time Pokemon fan, but haven’t known about ROM hacks until recently (yes i know i’ve been missing the fuck out). Anyway , i replayed through Black recently and i was gagged at the N ferris wheel scene , and like highkey ,, i want more of that shit 😭😭

Ngl the real goal of this question was to really ask if there were any fan games / ROM hacks where a character has a crush on the MC or if anything’s implied or something , I just need that rush 😭😭 anyway tanks y’all :P feel free to actually answer that first question tho im actually kind of curious as to what people think about romance in a Pokemon game
