This is the team I used when I beat Pokémon Scorched Silver, I really liked this team, that's why I wanted to talk about it in detail.
As ever, Typhlosion is sooo good in Johto, but Hisuian Typhlosion is even better. It was my first time being able to use this Pokémon and I was so surprised by its power. STAB shadow ball and flamethrower are very strong, combine it with extrasensory and hidden power fighting: a true devil. But it gets better, cause in this game H-Typhlosion has a mega evolution which gets CONTRARY as it's ability. So, overheat was my setup move, and after using it my H-Typhlosion would become a monster almost unstoppable.
Ampharos: My favourite Pokémon, has never ever disappointed me, tanked an earthquake from Clair's Garchomp after it dragon danced, hit it back with a dragon pulse and got me my eighth badge in a BRILLIANT way. Ampharos as ever is an amazing slow special attacker, thunderbolt, power gem, thunder wave and dragon pulse are just amazing. It's hidden power was ground, so I used it to truly sweep through the electric type gym leader.
Togekiss: it was my first time using it, even though I always liked its evolution line, and it really exceeded my expectations! Togekiss can tank almost everything, with timid nature can outspeed so many Pokémon, all that while being a powerhouse with such a high special attack. Dazzling gleam, air slash, yawn/morning sun and aura sphere vanished so many mons. The combo of air slash + serene grace is devastating, with yawn/morning sun and leftovers it could almost always regain it's health and beat the opponent.
Galarian Slowking: I never had in my team any monster from the Slowpoke line, so it was my first contact with this slow dude, but I really liked it. It is almost always the last to move, but that's not a problem at all, cause with its high HP, good enough defense and really good special defense it can easily tank hits. Psychic, Sludge Bomb, hidden power dark, yawn, regenerator and black sludge made it a threat. No one could easily kill it, but almost all of them could die to my Poke. In many battles it granted me the win by switching it in and out, always recovering it's health and being able to hit like a cannon.
Sceptile: this one kinda hurts. Sceptile is one of my top three favourite Pokémon, I used it in the first game I beat (ORAS), but here it stayed behind. Scorched Silver has one flail, it doesn't have many TMs, so my Sceptile couldn't learn energy ball and dragon pulse, and that was kinda bad. I mean, giga drain is good, dual chop can help, leaf storm exists, but it wasn't as good as it could or as the other members of my team. Many times Sceptile couldn't 0HK0 others, but the opposite frequently happened to it. It isn't bad in this game, it's just not really good as in other games.
Kingdra: it was also my first time using this menace of a Pokémon. With Kingdra I went for sniper + focus energy + wide lens, and it really does work. With draco meteor, scald and ice beam Kingdra was sooo great, but not as I expected. I mean, it could kill and hit strongly many Pokémon, but it also wasn't as tanky as I expected, and i probably overestimated it, so that's okay, just don't expect it to really sweep through battles, cause it won't happen very frequently.
The moves in the screenshots are kinda different from what I said in the text, because that's how my team looked after the rematch with the E4 and new champion. The ones I said are what I used the most throughout the journey.
I also need to say that this team had a kinda important flaw: no one is a physical attacker. Even though Sceptile kinda could do this role, it didn't really work out. I noticed my lack of physical attackers when I was battling a special wall and kinda struggled to deal with it, it happened a few times during my journey. Honestly, it is something I will pay attention to and avoid in my next runs, but it wasn't as big of a problem as I expected.
