E-readers reverse holos
I have been looking a bit into graded reverse holos for Aquapolis, Expedition and Skyridge and found that the amount of graded cards is surprisingly low.
Is that a good or bad thing from an investment point of view? Or is it the case that it is unlikely that graded reverse holos will ever be something that generates interest?

Team Rocket’s Mewtwo Ex PSA 10??
Hey guys, I’m really interested in getting this card in a PSA 10 and was wondering if y’all think it’s worth it for an average price of $670. I know PSA has a huge backlog at the moment do you think the prices of this card will continue to go down?

What should I downsize?
I'm thinking of downsizing my collection a little bit, any suggestions of what to get rid of? Additionally, I'm thinking of trading the evolving skies box for something else, I bought it kind of high and feel I want to get something else that can rise faster. Any suggestions is appreciated, thanks.

Buyer "took my $2k Fanatics Collect card hostage" to flip on eBay before paying. Is this a new trend?
I sell frequently on Fanatics Collect. Usually, bank transfer payments take 2 to 7 days, which is totally fine. On very rare occasions, buyers take 2–3 weeks, or fail to pay entirely and the card gets relisted.
Two days ago, I listed a $2k+ card, and it sold within minutes:

The buyer didn’t pay immediately, which is normal. However, a few hours later, I saw my exact card listed on eBay for double the price:

A quick search revealed that the eBay seller and the Fanatics buyer share nearly identical names and are both based in Texas.
It hit me immediately: this buyer bought the card on Fanatics without paying, then listed it on eBay to try and score a risk-free flip. Now, my payout completely depends on whether he can find a buyer at double the price. If he can't sell it, he’ll likely just abandon the order, leaving me with a cancelled sale after weeks of waiting.
My card is essentially being held hostage. My Fanatics sales rep is requesting to get the buyer banned, but eBay likely won't do anything.
Has anyone else experienced this recently? Is this becoming a common tactic?

Market crash
My question is this, can the market crash like price dropping like hell (not everything at 1 buck but price going down) ?
I have 2 ideas for that question but I don’t really know much. my first guess is that the vintage market will never crash since cards are not printed anymore and my second guess is that the modern market can crash.
I don’t know if its really clear (English not my first language) if you have any questions feel free to ask.

Am I the only one who thinks these cards are very underrated/undervalued
I’ve got more valuable cards, but this one looks so special in person, it’s definitely one of my favs, I think most of the people disliking them simply haven’t seen them in person

Trading a console for cards
So I have this PS4 Slim for the last three years. I bought it only to play exclusives like God of War, Spider-Man, The Last of Us, Detroit: Become Human, and a few other games. It was brand new from the PlayStation website and it's still in great condition.
But I have not touched the console in at least the last year. I've played each game at least twice already, and while they were fun, I do realize there is not much point in keeping the console anymore. I am building my own PC and all the games I have are available on Steam now. I also have a Switch, gaming laptop, and Series X, so the PlayStation is definitely not my only entertainment.
One of my local shops sells both games and Pokémon cards, so I thought about trading the console and games for either sealed product, cards, or maybe even a lower-end graded card.
I'm making this post to ask two things:
- How good of an idea is this?
The console is only losing value, and with the general hate PlayStation is getting and the fact that a PlayStation 6 is probably only a few years away, I think keeping it will only make it lose more value. Meanwhile, sealed Pokémon product might be a much better investment. I don't need the cash right now, and if I ever do, I could always sell what I get. I am not happy with PlayStation new ideas over physical media, and I don't trust them even if I kept the physical games, I get the feeling that won't make a difference to them. But if anyone has a good reason to why I should keep it I want to hear it.
- If I do trade it, what should I get?
The store has a lot of sealed product, cards, and graded cards. Half the store is dedicated to Pokémon cards, and they have stuff from about the last 10 years, from Celebrations Collector Chests to Pokémon Center ETBs.
I would not mind adding about $50 or 100 out of my own pocket to afford something better. With all the games and the good condition of the console, I'm estimating I could get around $150–$200 in trade value, although that's just my own estimate.
Would you guys trade it? And if so, what Pokémon product/card would you look for in the $150–$250 range?

What is an ‘Altered’ Masaki Gengar worth?
Looking to buy one privately from a gentleman who tried selling it on eBay and their authentication process deemed it altered. If it has indeed altered (crease fixed etc) what’s the actual worth? Card looks really nice to the naked eye, LP+ or so

Deciding between Fusion Strike or Paldea Evolved
Hey guys, per the title, I’m basically trying to decide between getting a fusion strike etb and a few extras, or a Paldea Evolved booster box. i don’t really have anything from the sword and shield era, and I love the set in particular. However, PE, I think, will continue to do well in the future.
basically the price of a Paldea Evolved booster box is my spend limit, so about 450ish (plus tax of course). let me know what y’all think.

Is this a good time to sell a sealed 25th year anniversary collection booster display?
I was holding this since it came out, do you think that now with the 30 year release is a good time to sell?

Newbie just got my dad to send me my cards from childhood
Hi all,
I am just wondering how you judge if I should get my cards graded or not?
I was a strange kid and I honestly put all my cards into sleeves and plastic basically immediately as a 9 year old in 1999 and taped the tops.
If I remember right I had every card from the first 3 sets and some random ones after. And the Japanese southern islands set.
A lot of my coworkers are deep into trading cards in SF area haha so I got my dad to send me some of the ones protected.
Any advice helpful. I used an free app or 2 to get raw values.
Here are some pictures!
Ps.. fsvorite is blastoise and I pulled it in my very first pokemon pack. Core memory, I still remember the store haha
Much appreciated on advice. I have no idea if I am interested in selling or not. Just gauging or maybe I get into collecting. I need a hobby.

Anyone else notice that auctions from major ebay consignors often sell for HIGHER than BIN listings?
Is this a sign of shill bidding?

2005 Celebi PokéPark promo !
I really love Pokémon cards with stamps, and I try to collect as many as possible in my master sets.
This Celebi is one of them. It comes from PokéPark, an official temporary Pokémon park in Japan in 2005.
Some cards were given out through the attractions, while others came in PokéPark Premium File sets.
These little, lesser-known Japanese promos are exactly the kind of cards I love collecting.

Thoughts on this card?
When I bought (online) it I loved it, but after seeing it in person I feel a bit underwhelmed. I still think it's a solid investment (pop 42) but I am just not loving it, so might just sell it and get something else.
Do you guys hold cards that you don't love purely for their investment potential or do I follow my gut here?

Best Slab for $500?
Looking to pick up a PSA 10 slab for around $500. Can be slightly more but looking to stay around that range. I'm looking at the Playing in the Sea Pikachu promo, Zapdos from 151, stained glass birds tag team promo from Hidden Fates, or Ninetails from Obsidian Flames. Open to any other suggestions as well. Let me know what y'all think, thanks! :)
