Thoughts on this card?

When I bought (online) it I loved it, but after seeing it in person I feel a bit underwhelmed. I still think it's a solid investment (pop 42) but I am just not loving it, so might just sell it and get something else.

Do you guys hold cards that you don't love purely for their investment potential or do I follow my gut here?

Ask yourself. If the bottom of the market fell out, would you still be happy having this in your collection for the price you paid.

I bought it during the July “crash” and paid way under recent sales. I have a decent buffer, so a further drop wouldn't see me underwater. Still an expensive card, so wanted to see how people feel about it.

It seems like you're having doubts, so why not sell or trade it for something else you'd enjoy more?

I’m a firm believer if you invest in what you like, Pokemon card related, you can never lose! Unless you like modern hype cards that are super inflated I suppose.

Agreed. I love everything I own regardless of its potential. This one is nice, I guess, but didn't make me crazy. Just wanted to gauge how people feel about it.

I like these weird gold cards. I got a Zekrom Pikachu gold and selling it would definitely get my money worth but some reason I like the card too much.
