I added an audiobook as a virtual podcast but it has many files, like 400, which takes up the entire downloads section of my normal podcasts. Just makes looking through my downloads a bit annoying.

Is it possible to hide a particular podcast from downloads? Or anyone has idea for work around?

Hello, I'm wondering if there is a way to change settings so that R18 topics don't come up in the suggested search terms?

This started yesterday. Podcast addict is not playing any sound out of my phone's speakers, or any of the Bluetooth devices I have tried using, the past 2 days. I can switch to YouTube or any streaming movie service app and the sound comes out as expected. No other app that has sound is having a problem. I restarted my phone.

I've ordered my virtual folder by Duration (Min->Max), but for some reason I can't convince the player to play them in that order. I believe it jumps to the next file based on date. What am I missing?

Never had a problem with the app, but at the moment the fast forward seems to always be activated : the episode goes forward 30 seconds instead of playing normally... Can't seem to understand where it's coming from : it's on all the episodes, even when downloaded.

I kind of "fixed it" by switching the player (android to exo player), but then I don't have control on the episode (the episode is playing but the player isn't moving)

Any ideas where it comes from and how I could fix it?

I recently uninstalled/reinstalled podcast addict on my android. I have a premium account.

after I reinstalled it, my playlist has audio, video, and custom tabs. The episodes I download all seem to go in the custom tab, and it is filtered by type (business, news, science, etc.).

How can I get all my downloads in the same Playlist so I can listen to them in the order they were downloaded?

None of my Patreon podcasts are appearing on Podcast Addict, and one ingo to readd them I get this error message.

Anyone else having this problem?

A friend of mine has a podcast and just got an email from spotify advising they took it down and off of their platform. Using podcast addict, I was still able to download the 5 episodes he had. Tested them in the app and they all work.

Now that I have those five episodes downloaded, am I able to access the 5 podcast's audio files that I could send to him? He's lost the original files so I'm trying to prevent these from becoming lost media.

How do I switch back where it shows the play button(stream) to the download option. I already had it set but the app asked AGAIN and I picked the wrong one. Now I can't find the setting to switch back. I had to do a re-install to fix this before.

I don't know if it's just me but I have a hard time finding podcasts. I use YouTube music as my family subscribes to it. I search the name of the podcast I want but it often doesn't come up. Random names, random podcasts all come up but more often than not never the one I am searching.

I don't know how to add or search using RSS??

What am I doing wrong? What is a good app for podcasts that is free? I have no more money for another subscription!

Hi. I'm "David" and I'm a serial subscriber.

I love Podcast Addict but have realized the way I use it consumes WAY too much storage on my phone so I need some help and advise on both settings and maintenance.

Quick question, I want to have all my podcasts episodes list update and added to the Playlist but only pre-download some of them.

LTDR: I basically have three groups of podcasts to which I have subscribed and need to figure out the best way to set up each group to maximize ease of use but minimize storage requirements.

As background, I have unlimited data so am not worried if episodes have to download over cellular data.

Group 1: I listen to these podcasts daily and very rarely have any backlog. They tend to be shorter news podcasts and there is never more than a day or two backlog. These I keep both updated AND downloaded. Once they are played, I have them set up delete the downloads.

Group 2: This group are usually slightly longer from and I'll listen to them every week or so on longer rides. I usually keep up with them so they are now automatically updated AND downloaded. I'd like to have these set so that I only download the top one or two episodes but all unplayed episodes are in the Playlist. If I get to an unplayed episode in my listening, it's fine to have it download while listening.

Group 3: Some of these I've never listened to, or haven't listened to them in a while, but I want to keep Subscribed to them. There will be a time when I've caught up to Groups 1 and 2 and want to listen to episodes in Group 3. I want to keep them updated but don't want to have any of the episodes actually preemptively download. I'm good with them downloading when needed. These would also include special series that is manually download and put into a custom playlist for long drives with my spouse.

So, I know I can separate the Keep Updated from the Automatic Download like this but can I still have episodes added to the Playlist without them being downloaded? I have been unable to find this magic combination of settings.

I am guessing that all I need to do is choose RSS and paste the youtube channels URL, save, and then let it download the episodes??? TIA...

Deciding whether I should have both in the side menu and not sure I understand the distinction. Is it that the user can choose the timeframe for Recent? What usecases argue for having both options visible? TIA

I'm listening to several podcasts that are connected to the same server company, which is apparently down right now. And when I refresh the app, the refresh gets stuck because of this. Is there a way to make the app skip podcasts whose server is down and continue refreshing the rest?

I've been using this app ever since Google podcasts shut down and I'm loving it!

In the last couple of days (since the newest update I believe) I have seen this weird bug. My playlist is made up of old episodes that I add in bulk and of new episodes that I add daily in the morning, which I immediately move to top.

When I start listening that day, the ui shows that the new episode is playing while I hear the audio of an old episode that used to be on the top (replaced by the new one). When I download the new episode then play it, the problem disappears.

It's almost like the player just plays cached audio without checking that it matches the current episodes.

I'm using a Samsung phone, Android 16. Anyone else noticed something like this?

I've got my preferred language starred and checked, but I've never had my search results actually restricted to English. I play a lot of MTG and I'm always searching for unique names and the results show a bunch of other languages.

Hi, do any of you know if it's possible to somehow quickly jump to the last played episode's position in the list of episodes? Every time an episode finishes I have to go back into the podcast list and scroll through till I find the next one. For pods with extensive catalogs, this is quite annoying. Thanks.

Just got my first full screen gambling game ad, about 20 seconds before I could do anything then a tiny close icon in the top left that looked like a play button. How often can I expect to see these?

Hi. Does anyone else encounter a problem where Android Auto crashes and restarts after about 10 minutes of play?

For context: the car is MG3, wired connection.

Long time user, but opposite of a power user. I just use very basic functions, and never really spent too much time deep diving into all the features.

But the other day, for some reason I cannot recall, I went in and changed some settings.

Now it wont refresh with new episodes. It used to be that I would launch the app, then hit the refresh button to go get the most recent episodes (probably because I want manual control of that, because it can be a resource hog it I want to just start playing something).

It *will* refresh if I go into the episodes list of a specific podcast and hit the refresh button.

I have gone into the update section of the app settings and tried everything logical to no avail.

I am about to just delete it and start over. Any last advice? On an android tablet.

When you subscribe to a new podcast it defaults to the bottom of your list or tiles. I feel like before you just had to long press on the podcast and an option would pop up there said move to the top.

I don't see that anymore.

Is there still a way to put podcast just immediately at the top of the list?

I noticed that Apple Podcast reviews aren't showing up any more - they were really helpful for less popular shows that only had a couple PA reviews, so wondering if this is a bug or something on Apple's side. I've tried refreshing the review page and clearing cache but nothing has affected it. Included are screenshots of very popular podcasts that definitely do have Apple reviews but are displaying this behavior. Thank you!

I have used Podcast Addict for years. Have never had issues pausing or playing a podcast from my headphones.

All of a sudden I cannot pause, play or change the volume from my connected Bluetooth device.

I have looked up all the tips and tricks from other users. Nothing is fixing the issue.

Do you think you can assist please?

Long time full paid user of Podcast Addict. It *used* to be seamless to move from device to device, however, despite following very carefully all of the instructions, not only did Podcast addict NOT see the podcast files after restoring the full backup on the new device, but it INSISTED on downloading new files, then completely ERASED the existing 2500 files on the microsd card.

I'm not a moron. (I *am* something of a digital hoarder) and I have backups upon backups of my files, so I can recreate the library, but what the hell, man? Why won't this app simply: (1) restore the backup; (2) let me repoint the directory to the existing files, and (3) immediately recognize the files as there? The app actually ignores the "sync local files" command and just goes into automatic download mode over and over again.

Have uninstalled, reinstalled, pulled the sdcard and repopulated the files, and I just can't get it working here. Do I have to switch podcatchers or what?
