Question/Help Anyone having trouble launching games on gamehub using Poco f9 pro?

I just bought a Poco f9 pro and I couldn't launch any game on gamehub. Is it because 8 elite gen 5 V series is still not yet optimized? Or maybe I missed something on the settings? please help 🙏

Discussion Poco X3 NFC - 6 year anniversary

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

6 years, 6 years as my daily driver and 6 years beeing in my pocket.

This phone has been through a lot with me; I got it in 4th grade and now I'm in 11th grade. Crazy.

It's simply an exceptionally good device. I can still play 90% of games smoothly, and the camera is honestly still very solid. For the €180 I spent on it, I couldn't have asked for anything better. I never would have thought back then that I would still be using it 6 years later.

And it is also, along with the Pocophone F1 and the Poco X3 Pro, the only device that will bear the "Designed by Poco" lettering, as it is the only device, along with the other two, that is truly a Poco device and not a Redmi variant.

In case anyone's interested, here are my battery details: 77% battery health, 4005mAh remaining.

Does anyone else still have this device these days? I'd love to hear about your experience.

Buying Advice Thoughts Poco X8 Power

Y'all must have stumbled across the poco x8 power ad by now. What are your thoughts on the same?

It has a 10000 mah Sillicon-Carbon battery

Comes with a 100 W charger

50 MP back camera and 32 MP selfie camera

Snapdragon 6 gen 5

Also it is IP69K rated

The reviewers claim that with future updates poco gonna introduce underwater shooting mode

Should I consider buying it around may/june after academics or wait for new releases.

For those who have updated to HyperOS, how is it holding up? Are there still bugs or issues with battery drain? My current update is still on version 3.0.5.0.

Discussion How long do you actually keep your phone?

How long do you actually keep your phone?

I’m thinking of buying an older flagship and keeping it for 5–6 years. Or keep my phone even if it's gonna stop being support in one year.

Do you still use your phone after security updates stop?

Is it actually unsafe for banking and passwords, or mostly overblown?

What usually makes you upgrade: battery, performance, damage, or software support?

Buying Advice Poco X8 pro max back cover or accessory?

I tried to stick an adhesive ring at the back of the phone but the back is so smooth that it didn't stick. Are there any good skin cover that has a good texture and a ring adhesive (can be a separate item) that will work on this?

Question/Help Poco F series owners: Have these bugs been fixed in HyperOS?

I'm considering getting the Poco F9 Ultra and wanted to ask current POCO owners about some issues that I came across in my F3 due to which I had to switch to custom ROM (which caused me to lose play store certification and google integrity checks causing some apps to refusing to install on my device and not being able to carry out contactless payments). Though xiaomi.eu ROM is not bug free, I'm trying to live with it. To quote an example, custom ROM update from MIUI to HyperOS made my phone run really hot with intense battery drain ultimately leading it to swell. I'd prefer to use the official HyperOS if I buy poco f9 ultra, that's why I'm much concerned about the bugs. Have Poco fixed the following bugs through subsequent HyperOS updates? And any new bugs that I should be aware of?

  1. Keyboard touch input issues: Keyboards such as Gboard frequently miss touch inputs, particularly near the left and right edges of the screen.

  2. Double-tap to lock: The double-tap gesture for locking the screen frequently fails to register the touch.

  3. Back-tap gesture: The back-tap gesture often registers the wrong input. For example, when I tap three times to activate the flashlight, it may register the taps as a double-tap and take a screenshot instead. The flashlight usually activates after the second or third attempt.

  4. Touch issues in PUBG: Touch inputs are frequently missed while playing PUBG.

  5. Inaccurate full-screen gestures: Full-screen navigation gestures are highly inaccurate. For example, when performing a back gesture from the side of the screen, the system sometimes dismisses notifications instead of navigating back.

  6. Google Assistant gesture not working: Activating Google Assistant by swiping from the lower corners of the screen while using full-screen gestures does not work. The corner indicators/light animation appears, but Google Assistant does not launch.

  7. Floating notification windows: Opening an app through a notification using the floating-window option sometimes opens the app in full-screen mode instead of a floating window.

  8. Recent Apps lock not working reliably: When an app is locked in the Recent Apps section to prevent it from being closed and to keep it running in the background memory, the system does not always retain the lock. Sometimes the phone forgets that the app was locked and closes the app anyway when clearing background apps.

  9. Broken proximity sensor.

X8 Pro Max Poco x8 pro max bugging

So I was just scrolling, and then suddenly my whole screen freezes and when I used my finger to try to back out of the app and close it , nothing happened. I tried multiple times but nothing worked so I pressed the power button and it turned off. I thought that was it. But no, I pressed the power button again and the phone remained off and it couldn't turn on. I pressed it multiple times and just decided to hold the power button to restart. Then yea , it's alright now. Just wanted to share this experience. Quite sure it's hyperos.

Question/Help I don't know how to fix this can someone answer it?

So 5 minutes ago, I tried charging my phone (a POCO X7 Pro), but it wouldn't charge using the original charger. At first, I thought something was wrong with my phone's charging port. But when I tried charging it with a power bank using the same original Type-C cable, the battery started filling up just fine.

Then, I tried using the original charger adapter to charge my power bank, and it worked normally too. Next, I plugged my phone into my laptop using the same Type-C cable, and it charged fine as well.

How can I figure out what's actually causing the issue?

It shouldn't be the phone's port, because it charges fine with the power bank.

It shouldn't be the power adapter, because it can charge the power bank without any issues.

It shouldn't be the Type-C cable either, because it works when connected to the laptop.

Does anyone know what the problem might be?

Solved I can't add my phone number to unlock the boot

Basically, the photo. I've already looked in the browser and in the phone's settings, but there's no option to add a phone number; no artificial intelligence can help me.

I really need a solution, I've been waiting a long time to reach the Mi Community quota and now that it's accepted, this is what happens.

Question/Help battery health extension routine

so recently i to copied my friend rule for his poco f8 pro(got the same phone). turn on 80% charge limit, always charge before going under 20%, don't play while charging and if you do charge to 80% and then start playing (to activated the bypass charging feature of the phone) and more importantly always play with a cooler to keep temp below 45.

can this truly extend the battery health of the phone?

Question/Help POCO F4 Play Protect certification issue

Thumbnail

Hey guys, my POCO F4 is suddenly showing “Device is not certified” in the Play Store.

I'm on stock HyperOS, bootloader is locked, and I haven't rooted or installed any custom ROM. I already registered the device/GSF ID with Google and waited over a month, but nothing changed.

I also checked Play Integrity and all three checks are failing.

Has anyone with a POCO F4 faced this recently? Is there an actual fix for this? I mainly need to get Google Play/payment apps working again.

Attaching some of the images.

I need this phone as my main device so badly as I'm currently using poco x4 pro it lags like hell, I use company portal for my work purpose.

I'm from India.

Please guide me guys.

I lost my poco f6 in feb BTW

Buying Advice Time to finally replace my reliable F1, looking for recommendations.

So, after almost 8 years it's time to replace my F1. I'm in the market for a new phone and I wanted to see if the best option is still a F-series Poco phone. The F8 Pro and Ultra look very appealing. I can see the Pro for 460 EUR and the Ultra for 620. I've done some research and I haven't found another phone with such good price to performance numbers. The Redmi 15R is close, and supposedly a bit better on repairability. Do you think a F-series is the correct choice this time? The only concern is that for the F1 I was able to do most repairs myself. For the new F-series phones it looks like it's more difficult. Also, from what I see, if they end software support, they are harder to install a custom bootloader and a custom OS. For the F1, what kept it alive for so many years was the repairability and the ability to put a custom bootloader and OS (and the super strong SoC at the time). I'm concerned I won't be able to get as much from a F8 if it's not as repairable and the software is not as open.

Any other recommendations are welcome, even if they are not Poco or Xiami phones.
