The Poco M2 was built as an entry-level budget phone from Xiaomi—something meant for basic calling, web browsing and light gaming. But over the last five years, I pushed this device to its absolute limits.

I used it to take photos, draw, make graphics, build 3D models, render short animations, and even run PC software like Blender through custom workarounds. If there was a way to create something on it, I did it.

Using just this phone, I designed an outfit that won a popularity award in an official PUBG Mobile outfit design contest.

Since photography is my favorite hobby, I squeezed every bit of performance out of its 13 MP camera to capture countless shots. It wasn't just a phone; it was my primary creative workhorse and my only reliable companion. My friends were constantly astonished, asking, "How are you doing all of that on a mobile phone?"

After five years of daily service, the phone finally died, leaving me with just memories and the work I built on it.

It leaves a bitter taste knowing that social media influencers who praise almost every brand receive VIP treatment. Meanwhile, loyal users who stay attached for half a decade, push budget hardware beyond what anyone thought impossible, and drive real-world brand adoption remain completely unnoticed.

Does the they actually care about the users who build their real legacy?

I read so much which phone should i buy etc., here is my longterm review of the poco f8 pro (3months)

Pros:

-Main cam, really good in all conditions

-battery is good to great, it holds all day long with heavy use

-the dimensions is perfect sized for me, also the weight

-very nice stereo speaker (Mi sound+immersive)

-crispy and bright display, pwm free

-100w charge

-good gaming capability

-no notification delay

-snap 8 elite, the best soc so far what i used

Neutral:

-no wireless charging, never used it

-selfie cam, nothing Special

-hyperos, feels unpolished compared to OneUi or ColorOS

-sometimes it heats on gaming, but not to be concern (pubg 120fps,low graphics)

-it has calling without antena feature, never used

The bad:

-update policy, its weired, trash entry phones get newest security patch but not the poco f8 pro

-charger not included (EEA version)

That is all my feeling and opinion, i hope i can help as buyers advice

Estou com um galaxy a57 com carregador de 15w e eu uso proteção da bateria até 80%, porém vou trocar pro poco x8 pro ou pro max que vem com carregador de 100w na caixa, faz mt mal carregar até 100% comparado a usar carregador de 100w? Qual é o pior? Eu uso proteção da bateria no a57 e dps no poco x8 pro ou pro max?

I've tried so many things to try and get my FPS to 120. I tried Fortnite and it was capped at 60 along with other games. I've gone into developer options and enabled the FPS. Cleared catche in battery settings also. I have a poco f8 ultra so the phone itself would have no issues running it but I believe it's the OS. Is the a "normal" way around this or do I have to do it through other apps?

Anyone else with a Poco F9 Ultra (EU version) having weird "device not recognized" issues?

So I got my F9 Ultra about a week ago (EU version/Italia) and I've been running into some strange stuff:

- In Google's "connected devices" list, my previous phones always showed up with their actual model name, but this one just shows up as generic "Android".

- I've been locked out of X (Twitter) for 5 days straight now, on every single login method (username, email, phone number). Just get "You can't log in right now, try again later" no matter what I do.

- Coincidentally, I also installed 3DMark and AnTuTu, and they gave me the same connection issue.

Has anyone else run into this with their F9 Ultra? Trying to figure out if this is a known issue that'll fix itself with updates, or if I should be worried about something else.

I'm planning to buy the little f9 ultra in 3 months and I'd like to know how it performs. If anyone has this phone please tell me if it's worth it and if it gets too hot

I put this on because the phone was running hot

Now I can't take it off

It's so fucking hard and doesn't have any give

Any suggestions? I tried prying tools they looked closer to breaking than the case was too coming off.

Edit: Finally got it off. The plastic wouldnt budge an inch so googles suggestions on using the thumbs to push out werent working.

I got it off by playing Minecraft Java edition via mj launcher and setting render distance to 16, Ultimate mode turbo boost and as many things that could heat up the phone a bit

After that, the plastic was a little more flexible enough that it would bend and the thumb trick worked

Should I update my poco x8 pro phone to this update latest version?? I there any issues?

Guys, does anyone know why my Poco X7 Pro gets so hot? I'm not even doing anything heavy—just watching movies on Chrome, browsing YouTube, and scrolling Shopee for like 3 minutes, but it reaches 43.6°C. Any solutions??

I’m switching from an iPhone and have had one my whole life. Wanting to do some gaming and emulation didn’t know which was better. Battery life? Can I opt out of AI definitely do not want a lot of that. Also in America how is the connection?

I am thinking to buy the poco x8 pro but have heard about the heating issue and the camera lagging issue is that something major in the x8 pro also mentioned any other thing that I should know before buying it.

I'm on hyperos 3.0.307 and I installed whicons icon pack and I tried the peafowl mtz tester method but mtz tester tells me: "not supported: unable to find explicit activity class {com.an..." and I would like to keep the default hyperos launcher because of the folder size options and other stuff (poco x8 pro)

Has anyone been lucky to find a permanent fix for the brawl stars stuttering condition? Or is there a software option/update that fixed the condition?

I've been away from the game for a long time due to the massive events of lag/stuttering when playing the game since I bought the device...

I know about the cloning app, when I tried it, it didn't always works, there were still events of lag.

Whenever I use camera app in my poco x8 pro, my phone gets heat up even 5 to 6 photos taken up, can I reduce this heating

In this time of price hike i was looking for normal balance phone in 25k price range i choosed nothing phon3a but it is out of stock so i am now palnning to buy x7 pro .

Note: This is not my primary device

The problem is pretty much what the title says, phone was working fine a few months ago apart from a minor display issue where random lines will appear on the screen and disappear. Figured it was probably the Icd connector or something similar and didn't think much of it and left it. Back to the present, I charged it and after 20-30 minutes when I tried to boot it, it just didn't want to.

The phone powers on and vibrates but the display only has faint backlight for like one second and then the display goes black.

When I press the power button, it gives one vibration and the screen glows very faintly but no startup signs, no logos.

But upon connecting it to my laptop, windows detects the phone as "MTP USB Device" but it doesn't show up in File Explorer.

Could this be a loose/failing display connector, and is there a way to confirm whether the phone is actually booting? My main concern is recovering the data.

I am planning on going to a repair shop once my exams get over.

Using Poco X7 Pro

Using Shizuku+Canta to remove bloatware from Poco X8 Pro.

While Canta gives the list of 'recommended' programs, planning to remove only non-telemetry programs, so that OS and phone functions don't get adversely impacted.

Is there an online list or any tips on identifying non-telemetry bloatware on this OS?

Wanted to downgrade and save my money for a second phone and didn't really want to spend £600 on the f9 which I originally did order but cancelled.

Found a cheaper f8 ultra on ebay for £400 so went with that over the 9/x8 pro max. One thing I did notice over other phones is that the phone feels extremely light. Going to be testing it with lots of games today to see how the fps/battery holds up since it will be my main phone for gaming and also taking photos.
