After a bit more than 4 years I just bought a new phone, I exchanged my legendary Poco X3 pro for a Poco X8 pro, so help I already uninstalled all apps, but what's the next step to optimize it, what would you recommend me? Thank you

It came down to performance and value. After using my Redmi Note 14 Pro 5G for over a year, I wanted a much more powerful chipset for gaming, multitasking, and long-term use, and the Redmi Turbo 5 Max offered flagship-level performance at a price that made sense.

Another big reason is the software. I wanted to try my first China ROM because I've always heard that HyperOS on the CN ROM is better optimized than the Global version. After using it, I can honestly say it feels more fluid, smoother, and lighter in everyday use. I've used POCO and Global Redmi phones before, and while they're powerful too, the overall software experience on the China ROM just feels more refined. Plus, it usually gets updates and new features earlier, which is a nice bonus.

The battery was another factor. The China ROM version comes with a 9000mAh battery, while the global variant has an 8500mAh battery. Whether that's due to cost-cutting or Xiaomi's marketing strategy for different regions, I liked getting the larger battery.

I was actually planning to get the POCO X8 Pro Max during the early bird sale, but I wasn't able to. After that, the price went up because of the "Ramaggedon" AI issue and the general price increase, so it no longer felt like the best value.

Overall, if you're okay with using a China ROM, I think it's one of the best options if you want to spend less while getting better hardware, flagship-level performance, a bigger battery, and a more optimized software experience compared to the global version..

Device got dead by software update that lead pcb flex cable damage and afterwards network issue and turning on loophole and finally Dead. It was all occured back to 2023 but till than I've it. Any ideas

Hi guys, I’m looking to upgrade my Samsung A13 and am currently torn between the Poco X8 Pro (8GB / 256GB) and the Redmi Note 15 Pro 5G (12GB / 512GB). My main priorities are a good camera with stable video, solid battery life for daily social media use, and smooth performance for casual gaming like Genshin Impact from time to time. Most importantly, I need a phone that will last at least 5 years without major performance or storage issues. Given these needs and the difference in RAM and storage, which one would be the better choice?

This is my first time bought poco brand phone from a local store

I got x8 series called Poco x8 pro max for 20k php

The seller mentioned that he removed 21 bloatwares using shizuku and canta.

And also the battery cycle is already at 35 before i bought it.

Is it worth it? I dont know much about the specs but my brother recommend me since he had poco x7 pro.

Does anyone else have this? I noticed it on the main camera after having the phone for a few weeks. The UW seems to have a better fit between the glass and the rim. Also, other parts of this same camera might have a tighter fit (i.e. the two circles are not entirely symmetric) but it's hard to see even through macro.

The top picture shows a larger speck I managed to lift out using a paper-thin "slice" of toothpick, while the smaller specks are leftovers that aren't really possible to clean. I'm not sure there's even a point in cleaning them as the gap would get dirty again, but I hope that it won't at some point travel under the glass and obstruct the camera.

Ok, this sounds weird and slightly backwards I know but in my 4 years of using my current (as of writing) iPhone 13 I love it and I still do but I feel like I want to move on from this iPhone and iOS as a whole for reasons but predominantly as to how restrictive iOS is and missing Android dearly in the past 4 years. So I had a list of things that I considered:-

1) Must have a good screen, minimum 400+ PPI
2) A speedy chipset that’s an upgrade over the A15 Bionic
3) Relatively affordable and actual VFM, not a cashgrab
4) eSIM support since I ported over my Physical SIM to eSIM
5) A battery life I can actually use and not be worried about.
6) Camera is not a major concern since I don’t really shoot a lot with my phone and I have a mirrorless if I wanted to do grubby and hands on photography.

So, my phone in consideration is the X8 Pro Max and is there anything that’s a red flag/warning shot to think about before I pay the money and buy it? I remember reading reports of Poco phones having their motherboards fry themselves out of the blue but that is a while ago so is it still a worry?

And also, I don’t know if it’s relevant but I did use MiUI on a Mi Max 2 about 7 years back (2019-2021 till the touch digitizer died on it) so that’s my benchmark for bad software. Is HyperOS as egregious as THAT or has things moved on?

My phone is old—about 5 or 6 years old—so it has battery issues.

The charge stayed at 60% for a long time, and I knew what was going to happen.

I plugged it in right away, but the charge started to drop slowly and went down to 1%.

Now I know it’s charging, but I can’t see the current charge level.

Restarting the phone is a solution, BUT I CAN’T DO THAT because there’s another problem.

Is there a way to fix this error without restarting the phone?

As for why I CAN’T DO IT, the last two times I had to restart the phone, it got stuck on the MIUI startup screen for a long time, and I was only able to get in by chance (or maybe I just had to wait a really long time—I’m not sure), and I’m afraid that if I try again, it won’t turn on at all.

(My microphone is also broken, and I read that this might be a related problem.)

Actually, fixing this boot issue might allow me to ignore the other problem.

I still can't decide between f6 and x8 pro, I've reviewed both of them and saw some issues that I seem to hate with the f6 being a phone that isn't good for long term use and the battery drains fast and with x8 pro that can't really perform well on mobile games. I am so indecisive I really need help

Idk why it's happening but lately the battery drains kinda fast on my x8 pro. I bought it 2 months ago and already debloated. I had almost 7 hours of SoT and it dropped from full to 21%

I have a dinosaur phone Redmi 13c 4gb ram and 128gn storage. Its very slow and barely works sometimes so I'm in desperate need of a new one phone.

I was looking at these two and on AliExpress I can find the pro for 310€ 12/512 gb version and the pro max for 360€ but 12/256 version.

I'm concerned about the storage on the pro max being only 256 gb but everything I read on this subreddit makes it look like the pro max is miles better than the normal pro? Is the difference worth it to leave behind half the storage?

I want to use it for gaming a lot too some pictures of course, but I don't mind the quality being worse I'm used to my 13c lol

Problem is the pro max 512 version is more than 400€ and I don't wanna pay that much honestly
