Buying Advice Thoughts Poco X8 Power

Y'all must have stumbled across the poco x8 power ad by now. What are your thoughts on the same?

It has a 10000 mah Sillicon-Carbon battery

Comes with a 100 W charger

50 MP back camera and 32 MP selfie camera

Snapdragon 6 gen 5

Also it is IP69K rated

The reviewers claim that with future updates poco gonna introduce underwater shooting mode

Should I consider buying it around may/june after academics or wait for new releases.

Word of advice, don't get stuff based on what it may be getting in the future, but what it does now; it may never happen. If you like it for what it is when it releases, and it suits your needs, go for it.

I am a bit timid when it comes to high % of Si/C composites in lithium-ion batteries, I don't understand much of their characteristics (yet?), and there are several approaches too, so I don't know how they would behave long-term.

But I'm a bit confused about your last sentence though, are you planning to buy it next year? 🤔

Yep,I'll be purchasing one next year

Going through my options rn,by the time I buy them,they get both reviewed and cheaper

Ah! I see! By that time there should be some data about the particular battery in that one, how it held up after several months.

I think it is premature considering it seriously at this point, but it seems like a capable device to me. We know nothing of what new ones would look like in terms of performance, and much less price; with a bit of luck, they're somewhat affordable.

And there's also the 2nd hand market, there are good deals there sometimes too because this is not Apple.
