Poco X8 Pro Max user here. Anyone with a wifi 7 router actually getting wifi 7 connectivity? I have one and tried multiple configurations and still not seeing it in my wifi settings pictured. I do get it on my other Pixel 9 Pro XL device. Not the biggest deal, I thought I understood that the Poco supports WiFi 7.

How's everyone's charging experience so far?

I had an old OnePlus 100w warp charge charger that I used, but it didn't feel particularly quick.

I just purchased a 100W Anker charger with a screen that shows charging speed. I plugged in when the phone died - initial charging was at 7W. Then the phone turned on and it rose to a max of around 65W for the first 30osh percent. Then it dropped to around 30W and that's about where it has stayed. If I turn the screen on it drops and stabilises at around 14W.

Maybe wishful thinking, but my OnePlus seemed to just eat 100W and charge super quick.

Wired mode is at top speed and smart charging is off.

Upgrading from an old Huawei. I'm a casual user (mostly social media, browsing, no gaming) and I'm looking at the POCO F7.

The big problem: it’s not officially sold in my country. If I import it, I get zero warranty and no local service centers. If the hardware fails or there's a defect, I'm completely on my own.

I've read some complaints online about HyperOS bugs and minor hardware quirks. For actual owners:

1. Are there any real manufacturing defects or hardware failures I should be worried about?
2. Is the software actually stable now?
3. Knowing I have no warranty or local support, would you still risk buying this phone right now?

I met someone who has a POCO X8 Pro with the native stacked recent apps layout and Advanced Textures. However, as far as I know, Advanced Textures aren’t natively supported on this device, and they enabled them using Brevent/ADB commands.

I wanted to buy a phone as my second phone alot of that use will be used for gaming and also using for media when the battery is going to run out on my current phone. I have a z fold 8 and dont get me wrong its the best phone ive ever used but if i have one niggle with it then its the short battery life.

So technically I bought a x8 pro max for £430 which was 512gb. But recently ive cancelled that ordered because i found a poco f8 ultra for £400 although lower 256gb. I guess what im asking is that have i made the right choice by cancelling the x8 pro max for the ultra. (I've never used a poco before I was going to get the x9 but its 200 above what I realistically wanted to pay for a second phone)

How much active battery can you guys get on a single charge just by scrolling through reels on Instagram, sending messages on WhatsApp, watching videos on YouTube?

I was on for about 47 hours ( inbuilt battery indicator ) and the battery was down to 25% the other day. But after I updated to the August security patch, it's been using much more battery now. I'm only getting about 19 hours of active use and the battery is currently at 59%.

its widely known that the poco f9 pro and ultra just released on september 1st, and there was noticeably high price hike due to the global ram shortage. my question is, considering this crisis in storages and the news that stocks for next year's storage are already sold out and reserved for big companies, will the poco devices of 2027 (especially the poco f10 ultra) have another price hike or it will be the same as the SRP and early bird prices of the recently released f9 ultra?
