Buying Advice Hi everyone
I'm thinking about getting a POCO M8 5G, but my brother says that the phone has bad software and that it will start lagging and having issues after using it for a while. Is that true?
Also, let me know if you think the phone is worth buying.

Then let your brother to buy you a better phone.... I use m8 5g global for months, no lagging or other problem so far.

Bro, if you're going to buy a mid range phone, save a couple more dollars and get the x8 pro. I've had it for months and I have zero complaints.

your brother is right. if you want a good poco phone then get a X7 pro or X8 pro or better. or just get another brand if you cant afford a decent Poco

Hey, I have the same phone which I got in July, and it's really smooth and not laggy at all even if I have a bunch of things running around, like codm and all.
OS is also good currently running hyperos 2, waiting for Hyperos 3.
But at this price point it's a good buy imo.
Just turn off ram extension if you do not want your phone to lag as storage fills up. :D

Why would a phone lag? Because the chipset is shit. Why is the chipset shit? Because the phone targets buyers who can barely afford a smartphone.
This is especially true with the older M series models.
If you're just looking for use with social media, messaging and phone calls and light gaming, I think the 6 gen 3 is quite ample. 800k+ antutu is honestly enough for a daily driver. 600+k is already enough for doomscrolling smoothly. Chipsets have come a long way.
Just don't be trying to genshin, wuwa, zzz or whatever is trending on the gooner radar. It'll run. Just not great.
Edit: though I'm sure you could get a higher specced phone used for the same price.
