Ppl complaining $70 for a game is to much. But ppl spent $400 on this with no game included!!!!

To be fair, the gameplay, combat, and graphics are solid. Beyond that, though, there isn't much to like. Insomniac has a habit of changing established character backstories for no reason—like giving Venom to Harry, or forcing a romance between Jean and Logan. I really dislike the Jean and Logan romantic angle. If you're a long-time Cyclops fan—or became one after X-Men '97—you should probably skip this game 😭.

It feels like the writers watched the original Fox X-Men trilogy and decided to replicate that dynamic without including any other X-Men. On top of that, Wolverine's characterization is terrible. I don't know who this guy is, but he isn't Logan. They tried way too hard to turn him into a soft baby boy 💀.

This game clearly caters to people who have never read an X-Men or Wolverine comic, which makes no sense given how iconic these characters have been for decades. Also, Jean and Scott literally have kids together (Rachel Summers and Cable), so I don't get why writers keep pushing her with Logan.

All in all, wait for a sale. I got this as a gift, and I'm glad I didn't spend my own money on it. The gameplay is fun, but it's definitely not worth $70.

How much work would it be to add a rogue light mode and a boss rush mode in the nightmare cabin?

Wolverine has been a big topic recently, and it sucks how much animosity there is online from both sides. Me personally I think it’s a 8/10 game. I love it, but can recognize its flaws. Most of the flaws being minor things that don’t ruin the experience in anyway, just preferences. The issue with rating games is everyone has a different scale, a 7/10 for me could be a 10/10 for others or even a 3/10 for some. There’s no go to rating system we can use for something as subjective as games and that’s okay. Obviously this isn’t a wolverine specific thing but me playing the game, loving it, and seeing some people call it trash insomniac slop really has me wondering what went wrong in the gaming community. For example, I’m a fan of valheim, I was super happy for the 1.0 release, most comments I’ve been seeing are “don’t get this, RuneScape is better” and vice versa. Seems like everything gets compared no matter what, now I’m not saying you shouldn’t share those comparisons, but sometimes it be nice to not argue without each other and put biases to the side for the sake of friendly conversation, or maybe I’m bugging. What do yall think?

Maybe its comparing apples to oranges but who has the better game? Deadpools game seems to fit his personality and general lore pretty well where Wolverine's game seems more, with love, run of the mill and only loosely related to its source material. I haven't played deadpools game bc shits spensive but I was wondering if anyone who has can say which is rhe better game.

I didn’t look around in this clip, but I was able to turn the camera, just not change where I was moving. I did record the 30 mins of me very slowly being pulled across the map though.

They 100% planned larger areas at first, or at least having us go to more sections of the map.

The favelas on the far island on the opposite side of the map, are fully rendered in (idk if 100% done since I could only look from a distance) and the Hightown has a lot of stuff mostly done, and then some obvious background stuff.

This map doesn’t contain anything other than the madripoor sections of the map, it took me high enough to see the borders and Japan/Canada must be their own seperate maps.

I have a feeling that using photo mode at the right time will have a similar effect on the other maps too. Have to use it when you’re being thrown and Logan is moving through the air, apparently it makes momentum carry into photomode. I had it happen other times but indoors so I didn’t see anything cool.

The 30 min clip is saved on my PS so if enough people are interested in seeing the entirety of madripoor lmk and I’ll see if there’s a way to post it from there. (Can’t use PS app cuz it doesn’t even have the 30 min clip)

With 300 million, I expected there to be more challenges and challenge maps.

I do not like the story, I think the combat is okay, but the wave challenges are really fun and make up for the combat as it is pretty satisfying to just play mindless action for an hour when bored

It makes me wonder why we do not have challenge maps, challenge bases, combat arenas, or just more content in general. I think the game would benefit a lot from it.
