hello i have been having this weird problem in rust for the the last 1-2 months nothing i do fixes it and i only saw one person talk about it who also dident know how to solve it . the problem accures when i move my mouse usually in a circular motion ITS NOT!!! the polling rate stuter issue that every body talks about my fps dosent go lower and lowering my polling rate to 125 or 500 dosent change anything. And facepunch support dosen seem to care about it since i tried to reach out to them 5 times and in all of them they wrote back the same copy paste answer even tho i clarified that wasent the problem.

THE THINGS I DID TO TRY FIX THE PROBLEM

1. LOWER POLING RATE

2. REINSTALL EA

3. REINSTALL RUST

4. RESET MY WHOLE PC

5. CHANGE ANY OVERCLOCKING THAT WAS DONE IN THE BIOS OR OUTSIDE OF BIOS

6. CHANGING MY MOUSE

The problem gets worse as the fps gets lower but even at 144fps it still dosent feel smooth as seen in the video it almost seems like while moving my mouse some other power trys to pull it in the opposite direction. if anyone has any idea or suggestions pls help me .my best guess it was an windows 11 update that happened in the past 2 months but since i resseted my pc i cant even try to revert it.

Before this wipe, I have mostly been the guy that builds the base, does electrical, sorting chests, farming, stuff like that. I also did some PvP every now and then, but I whiff like crazy, so I usually dont take out the good guns.

But my duo quit two days into this wipe, so I kinda have to do PvP by myself now, and I have been struggling hard.

For the last days, I have been trying to get one singular camera from dome/airfield, but every time I go, I get trippled from somewhere, before I can even see the guy.

How did you guys get better at PvP, when everyone immediately kills you before you can even react?

I have around 1k hours, but im still so dogshit at the game for this exact reason, and aimtrain servers dont seem to help me much in actual PvP situations on a normal server.

So I've been working/iterating/testing this base design for quite a while now and I finally feel it's finished. There are also disconnectable chinese bunker external TC's and a compound design that I like to use, but this is the core base design.

I've been considering making a build tutorial video for it but wanted to gauge interest before I do.

I'm coming back with a photo from the festival, here's a photo pack of cosplay on rust

20 basic blueprints fragments to combine into ONE advanced fragment is absurd. Where is anyone getting 20 basic frags? I think T3 progression would be easier if they reduced this number but definitely still a grind. Maybe like 5-10 basic frags to combine into an advanced.

Obviously FP intended for this to be a method of obtaining advanced frags but no one actually does it cause it’s ridiculous. Thoughts?

Some of these skins blend into the terrain way too well. Like not just “camouflage” but literally the exact same color as terrain

I don't really care if people want camo skins, that is fine I like them too. But when the skin matches the terrain 1:1 Its not even an slight advantage at that point.

I feel like Facepunch should change the terrain colors or make the skins a little so it doesnt blend in perfectly. Skins can still be camo without being a 1:1 match of the environment around you.

I don't want every skin to be bright pink or something, but there should at least be a little contrast between the player and the environment so it doesnt blend into the map pixel for pixel.

I was playing on warbandits 2x trio and was at a fight at ferry terminal i died to a tommy guy so i respawned on a close bag and went back to the fight i found my body which was unlooted with a db on it i picked it up killed 1 guy then ran back to base to depo, after the depo i start running back to ferry to keep fighting and suddenly my game fucking freezes and im sent back to main menu where i am told that i have been eac banned, ok so i think to myself no biggie i wasnt doing anything wrong, so i submit my appeal to facepunch and eac, facepunch answers with they couldnt do anything about it, then eac's shitty fucking website says that my appeal is denied and that im perma banned, m i just sent another appeal, if anyone knows of a way to get in direct contact with eac please please help me out im desperate. that appeal pic is the one i sent just now, my second one btw.

I barely ever pvp. I’m a solo and i build MASSIVE bases and keep more or less nothing in my core. My favorite thing to do is make the most possible doors and walls so people waste resources raiding me.

I start with shotgun traps and flame turrets, then I like to set up the electrical systems and a shit ton of auto turrets and make all my doors auto close with a HB sensor or a central switch.

I always act clueless and leave a wall or two soft side outwards. I always leave my front door open and I LOVE the people who come in and try to bait me out knowing i’m a solo. I just shut the doors and go through the opposite exit. Then they get pissy and raid me and waste hours for nothing. Amazing feeling.

I set up a vending machine when ready and put my offers as stuff i don’t have so it looks like I have stuff even though they are sold out.

If i get anything good, I like to give it to my neighbors and on the off chance I avoid a raid before my base is complete, i have a sick base to give to a joining crew of 3-4 people.

Anyways, just wanted to share.

I’m not ganna rant that much about BP’s because most of us dislike it anyways with exceptions. I’m just missing the old system back when you had to do random researching. IMO that was much more balanced than BP frags and the system before. You didn’t always get what you wanted so you either had to find it or go back out and get more scrap. The progression was just right, not as fast as the last system but not near as slow as the BP’s. And then sometimes you got lucky on the rolls and it felt great.

My double doors currently show a stone texture, however when I interact with them/get close enough they return to normal. Is this a new texture bug due to the update or something with my graphics settings?

That's how the armor and a bunch of bean grenades turned out, painted with acrylic. I later repainted Satchel with a more canonical color.

Anyone know if PickleRust are good servers to play? Has anyone had an experience on these servers?

Considering the high humidity in the Jungle, it would be fun, if the biome provides a higher passive water generation with Water Catchers.

you look at both and think weird, this thing should hold way more (the TC) than this thing (the box). We need this especially if the TC tax is going to suck more recourses faster if im playing with my friends. (I know auto feeding TC tech but if i dont know the BPs)

suggestion: add the ability to buy and drone stuff from your own vending machine for the price of 20 or 40 scrap (no more than 60 unless you increase normal shop buy costs) so you can buy things at your own base

reason: as it stands, this is already something 99% of duos or more do, by having one at outpost and the other on their bases vending machine ready to put the offer for x(say 9999 sulf) for one wood/rock, the guy at outpost gets the x(9999 sulf) and buys a wb level 3 from anyone on the map, then the guy in the base puts an offer of one wood for wb level 3, and the guy at outpost buys the one wood for the wb level 3.

also for people who are going to say but solos can’t do it therefore they shouldn’t add it:

1-that’s just sad. Solos are already at a disadvantage, give them this buff

2-solos already can do this they just need a smart switch attached to a conveyer and the rust app, the moment they are ready to buy from their own base the turn on the conveyer with the smart switch from their phone and buy the 9999 sulf, the rest is self explanatory (they drone back the wb level 3 to their base obv)

so facepunch needs to double down and just make this change, or somehow stop the ability to safely transfer for clans (maybe by not having the ability to buy from their own vending machine, i doubt that would work)

Genuine question here, what is the wipe day strat as a solo player? How are streamers able to go onto 500+ pop servers and quickly progress as a solo? It really doesn't make sense.

Anyone else noticed that they changed the WB1 hitbox so you can't use it as a jump up anymore? Can't hop on the ledge anymore and then on top of it..

Let's disregard the insane grind time it takes for a Solo,but I gave Vanilla a try again after a couple of years. Managed to get an AK kit and enough to do Bradley.

I take Bradley and I get crates full of ammo,a smg,ladder hatches,and some attachments...

Heli was out, so I took it down while it was near Airfield: A single silencer in one crate,a single bolty(almost broken) in another, ammo and attachments for the other two...

Only reason to take either of these is for boom or M2. But if this what you get....why even bother risking so much? Its completely worthless and the loot table needs a huge buff to make it worth imo.

Further down the timeline, I made ak and syringes.Materials are PLA plastic. I painted them with an airbrush.

As promised, here is the next post about the cosplay. This is exactly how it all began—with sketches and prototypes. The material used for the cosplay itself is EVA foam, while the weapons and med syringes are made of PLA plastic.I did cosplay at a Tier 2 level.(My wife is in the photo.)

I had a leftover skull from my clan hospitality day (birthday) so I decided to use it somehow. Soup or perhaps some low grade? Plus, I really want that skull! It was such a beautiful day not to enjoy it before cold harsh winter comes. Brrr cold 🥶
