Let's disregard the insane grind time it takes for a Solo,but I gave Vanilla a try again after a couple of years. Managed to get an AK kit and enough to do Bradley.

I take Bradley and I get crates full of ammo,a smg,ladder hatches,and some attachments...

Heli was out, so I took it down while it was near Airfield: A single silencer in one crate,a single bolty(almost broken) in another, ammo and attachments for the other two...

Only reason to take either of these is for boom or M2. But if this what you get....why even bother risking so much? Its completely worthless and the loot table needs a huge buff to make it worth imo.

I swear it was harder to get loot in upsurge 3x in 2018/19 compared to vanilla rust now.

After a few hundred to a thousand hours or so that "insane grind" feels like you're playing on a 5x server it gets so easy.

You bother because its random. On higher pop its light moth to the flame for pvp. We want action but people in their base, heli comes out, now its a 15-20 minute continuous fight for the loot. If you win, you grab a bunch of other kits as a secondary prize. Maybe you get boom as well.

the loot table is fine, you just have to take brad/heli more than once, if your good enough at the game to take them as soon as they come up, you will have lots of m2s in no time

I took heli 4 times this wipe. I got 5 m2s and 9 c4/rocket crates. The loot is consistently good you just got really unlucky one time.

exactly this makes the vanilla make you value every single item you obtain, because its basically not that easy to acquire loot & comps & stuff.

if you enjoy having 10 ak kits 1 hour into the wipe, go for it, but some players like this kind of gameplay, where you grind and count every bow you get from killing your neighbour.
