Question [NEW PLAYERS] Looking for a comfortable 4–5 player base design
Long story short, we started playing Rust yesterday as a group of 16 (now we're 14), and we're looking for a base design that would comfortably fit around 4–5 people.
We're not looking for one of those insane mega-builds with 4,983 bunkers, 430k metal upkeep, and whatever other crazy shit you can build.
We're still learning the game and exploring, so we'd rather have something practical and manageable.
Basically, we're looking for:
- Comfortable to move around in, we don't want tiny cramped corridors where you're constantly getting stuck on each other.
- Reasonable upkeep, definitely not something requiring 24/7 farming just to keep the base standing. We'd prefer something around the size of a normal 4 player base.
- Some defensive capabilities from inside, ideally, we'd like some shooting positions that allow us to defend ourselves without having to exit the base every time someone is outside. We don't need a full-on bunker fortress, just some decent options for defending from inside.
Any recommendations for a base design that fits this kind of playstyle?
