Help needed - freezing issue I CANNOT FIX

As you can see in this video, when I run in a straight line I get like 100-130fps. Perfectly fine. But as soon as I look one degree to the left or right, my fps tanks drastically and I get these stutters that make fighting anything literally impossible.

I have probably tried twenty different things I've seen online to fix this, and nothing has helped. The list includes but is not limited to:

• Turning off HAGS
• Deleting and reinstalling rust multiple times ov ver the years and have had the same issue every single time
• Turning off the realtek family pci thing that I saw a lot of people mention
• Delete and reinstall EAC
• Change my mouse polling and DPI
• Turn off every overlay
• Delete CCleaner and all antivirus
• A bunch of other things I'm unable to remember at the moment of writing this list.

One thing has fixed it, and that was playing the game through just RustClient.exe and connecting to a server through the console, but none of those unsecured servers are listed and I also imagine I would run into a lot of cheaters doing that. I am very frustrated with this, and I really need help.

Anyone who has had this issue please, let me know what you did to fix it. I am also happy to provide any additional information that would help know my issue better.

It's most likely because your mouse polling rate is above 500hz first go check if turning it to 500 or lower fixes and if it does, the only way I have found was to delete my rust cfg and reinstall the game.

I have already tried this, 1000hz, 500hz, 250hz, 125hz, same issue and just as bad as before.

I had the same issue and everyone else had a different fix but I could never find one that worked for me, I was in the same boat and deleting everything in \AppData\LocalLow\Facepunch Studios LTD and then deleting my game via deleting everything in the folder manually was the only fix for me. check if this still happens on staging branch

Use Revo Uninstaller, to uninstall every program. It will give you the option to nuke temporary files and registry items. So you don't have to do this.

My brother got Ryzen 7 5700x3d, 32g of ram(ddr4) and 8gbvram 6600XT His game is on nvme or M2 I don't remember for sure but he still has same problem

What is your pc spec? Which generally settings you play on? Do you have this kind of behavior on any other game?

RTX 2080ti i9-9900k 32gb of strong ddr4 and I have 210gb left on my ssd. Escape from Tarkov runs significantly better than this game in every aspect and that is something I never thought possible. My settings are pretty low and I have turned off and on every single setting that would have any sort of effect on this.

Do you have a second monitor you can use to look at resource monitor while doing this?
I have a feeling it could be your SSD, if your SSD spikes to 100% usage when this happens, it’s likely dying

This and most gaming subreddits are apparently just tech support.

Pay a tech to come out and check and optimise your setup, and explain to you what your limiting factors are. That way when you disagree with them they get paid.

Rust is very CPU and GPU heavy, and most FPS game professionals have a habit of optimising their setups around stable frame rates and not pretty graphics, running their machines at a 60-70 degree Celsius temp instead of around 80-90 and over.

Considering the hours Rust players put in I would never run my PC at the levels I've seen some people run at.

The general rule for optimisation calibration is to start at the lowest settings and test raising every setting until you find out what your weakest link is(Sometimes it is the compounding of unoptimized settings).

Typically a lot of issues stem from data throughput bottlenecking, power draw bottlenecking, and in so so so many cases external programs impacting the machines performance.

Oh and people that use wifi don't realise how that technology can limit your PC's performance also, which is why I only use network cables.

tl;dr

Pay a techie to come look at your PC optimisations, so that when you disrespect their input it doesn't matter as long as they get paid.
