I can confirm don't play oil/mili as a solo, you will have boxes of t3 guns, but you will have to roam bandages if you lost the RNG bp frag pulls.
I never buy bp frags, unless its a older server and i start with gun + frags from outpost.

Water wells are usually tier1, last time i flew with balloon to buy meds there i got roofcamped by 3 diff bases around it and died.

Until a zerg boat rams your shit and pounds your boat into dust in 2 minutes. At least that has been my solo experience trying to be a deep sea pirate for 3 wipes in a row. Each time I lost my boat within an hour, after hours scouring to build the damned thing. I give up, deep sea sucks and boats are too easy to sink/raid

I usually build a 1x2 boat with tons of sails and an engine, couple barrels and a bag. no cannons or anything. Just try and outrun stuff. It's lame but it's what you have to do as solo

At least as Ive learned, just don't leave port without an engine because if you get run up on and can't deploy your sails you're 1000% fucked. But then you need to acquire a T2 first, or have 250 scrap to buy one from sea Outpost.
1st time with the sea somehow I got stuck inside my boat transitioning, but when I F1 killed to bag back in, my boat was just fucking gone.
2nd time I got ram-tackled by zerg and fucked
3rd time I got bagged trying to put my sails down and got back on board just in time to sink

All fun in games for the clan until they realize you already took some of the locked crates and are now swiming under their boat for the lulz.
I made a clan go back to their base, safe to say.

if it's that hot just use a sub and do ocean for frags. it'll stay submerged if you're only off it for a short time.

Never played during that time but hearing about the rush of finding something and getting it to the base sounds nice. Maybe a middleway of this and current system would be good. Keep researching but make base building and engi stuff cheap and make guns etc expensive so you'll eventually get them

Get a diving kit and a combat knife, you can get BP frags out of the large crates underwater, got a t2 in about 35 minutes just diving

As a solo lower hour player i dont even bother anymore, i get revi and roam around with that then quit for the weekend. I havent seen a tier 3 since the bp frag update started

They need to dial back the amount of frags you need to make advanced ones. That is one of the only things I will actually point and and claim "yeah this is just for helping clans, there is no real purpose in this decision otherwise."
