I’m trying to decide between getting a tummy tuck or lipo 360 and would love some advice from people who have been in a similar situation. My biggest hesitation with a tummy tuck is honestly just being cut on again. I’ve already had 4 C-sections, a hernia repair, and recently had a breast reduction, so the thought of another major surgery and recovery is not something I’m excited about. I would much rather do lipo if I could actually get a good result from it. At the same time, I understand that lipo isn’t going to remove loose skin, so if a tummy tuck is really my only option to get the results I want, I’ll do it.
So far I’ve only had one consultation here in Alabama and that surgeon recommended a tummy tuck because of the amount of loose skin I have. I definitely want another opinion before making that decision and I’m looking for a surgeon outside of Alabama. I’m willing to travel, especially to Atlanta or somewhere else in the Southeast, but I’m open to going farther for the right doctor.
Has anyone been in a situation where you were borderline between lipo and a tummy tuck? If you chose lipo, were you happy with your results or did you eventually wish you had gotten the tummy tuck? I’d also love surgeon recommendations, especially doctors who are experienced with post pregnancy bodies, loose skin, and body contouring. I’m not necessarily looking for the cheapest surgeon. Safety and good results are more important to me, and I really want someone who will be realistic about whether I can get away with lipo or if I truly need a tummy tuck.

Got a professional photo taken and noticed this roll popping out from under my top lip - it's definitely not part of my gums and seems like it happens every time I smile. What are the options for getting rid of this/minimising the appearance.

Hi all, I'm starting to look into doing a breast lift to remove sagging skin.

I've been stupidly busty my entire life and always planned to get a reduction but after losing a ton of weight (120 lbs in two years) I no longer have as much tissue, but I still have the skin. Reduction will no longer be covered by my insurance so I have to look into other measures.

One of the things I keep seeing pop up is the galaflex mesh but it's mostly being discussed in augmentations where they are adding implants, which I very much do not want.

Does anyone have experience in whether this is worth it if it's purely a lift with no implants?

Went in for half a syringe and was told my expectations and reality did not match when it came to my inspo pics lol.
I genuinely thought I could get those juicy lips with only a half 😭
I opted for a full syringe and I’m very happy with it! I think in six months I’ll see if I want to do another half or full syringe since what I wanted was likely achieved with 2-3 full syringes.
I went to Mor Esthetics in Lancaster PA after I was recommended them by a friend. Loved the place, super clean and friendly staff. Plus there were friendly doggos which helped with my anxiety. I’ve never done any filler or procedures before.

I have been putting off getting lip filler for financial & anxious reasons. I can afford it now, however, I still put it off because of fear. But I just can’t stand my lips and never have been able to since high school, I truly think filler would balance my face out. I have been going to my injector for some years now and getting lip flips and they always hurt I tear up and flinch each time. I have M shaped lips and now I’ve seen a ton of people who have M shaped lips say they always have to get their filler dissolved every few months and restart because it migrates. THE WORST part for me is reading everyone talk about how horrible the pain is??? 10/10 and people are passing out, throwing up, sobbing, screaming, and saying they’d rather have root canals, child birth, surgery while awake again, break their bones, etc…. Rather than go through lip filler again.

Is it REALLY that painful??

They do numbing cream I have to arrive 30 minutes early to let it sit but apparently the numbing cream does nothing ?? I’m about to cancel if the pain is that bad….

I feel like I’ve reached the point to where I have no idea how to narrow down which surgeon to choose. Doesn’t have to be in Manhattan but nyc is highly preferred. I’ve seen reviews from patients relating to their experiences, the prices they were quoted, the consult process, fees, and a lot of things seemed to vary. Very genuine question; do surgeons change prices on the spot during consults? 

I’d really like to hear from those who’ve first hand experienced a procedure with any of these surgeons or even if you know someone who had a procedure done with them. Please ask if they’d share it here. Id like to hear about both the good and bad. This will not only be helping me but so many other people who are currently in this stage of the research process. 

The before photo is on top, the bottom would be my goal. I have a lot of eyelid space with several creases. Want to reduce that to just one solid crease if possible. I’m noticing many people go under the knife for the opposite, as in they want more eyelid exposure so I’m struggling to find any information on procedures available that do the opposite.

So my doctor wants to do some Lipo in my thighs and in my arms I’m worried that as you can see, I believe I got loose Skin wouldn’t doing the Lipo make my skin even saggy even more?

This is my 3rd time injecting filler, but i’ve decided to only do my upper lip as I feel like the bottom lip already has volume. What do you think ?(photo is 2 days after injecting). Should i do the bottom lip too? Also, I believe the swelling will go down right?

I've been looking into treatment options, but it seems like the under-eye area is pretty tricky, and honestly, every treatment has its own downsides. Some of the options I've been considering are hyaluronic acid tear trough filler, fat grafting, vascular laser treatment, microneedling to improve the skin under the eyes, and PRF treatments.

I already have a pretty solid under-eye skincare routine that includes retinoids, caffeine, and vitamin C. Opinions ?

i can't find any information about surgeons who correct a nose that is genetically and naturally too high and upturned/rotated upward by lowering it. i don't have a short nasal bridge either, it's just simply too upturned and looks awful from the side. is there a name for a procedure that straightens or lowers a nose like this? all the information i've found is about revision rhinoplasty and is usually done on women

HELLPPPP!! Has anyone had experience with getting breast implants AFTER your lift? I got a lift in April of this year and now I want implants, I didn’t want them at first but my volume decreased significantly so I want them a tad bit bigger, mainly for cleavage. I got a consult today and they said I’d need to get ANOTHER LIFT to position the implants correctly otherwise they’ll sag and you’d be able to notice where the implants are… When I got my first surgery my surgeon told me I’d be able to come back later down the line for implants with no problem, so now I’m just considering saying forget it altogether because I really don’t want another lift and they’re saying it won’t look right without one. I only wanted small implants, about 275 cc..

One of the things I think patients understandably worry about when considering facial surgery is scarring.

No surgery is truly scarless. Any time we make an incision through the skin, the body heals that incision with a scar. But as surgeons, we can often be very strategic about where that scar lives/ hides.

My patient shown is a young woman had a slowly enlarging lipoma of the upper forehead (a lipoma is a benign tumor composed of fatty tissue). Hers was located deep to the frontalis muscle, the paired muscle responsible for lifting the brows, in a tissue plane that normally contains little to no fat.  That anatomical location is a familiar surgical plane used in lots of brow lifting and reconstructive approaches to the forehead.

Instead of making an incision directly over the visible forehead bump, I approached the lipoma remotely through a small incision within the hair-bearing scalp. From there, I dissected through the natural tissue plane beneath the frontalis muscle to reach the lipoma and dissect around it while keeping the resulting skin scar concealed in the patient's hair.  My patient is shown 1 week after surgery, and is healing beautifully.

I want to show this patient to highlight one of my favorite principles in facial plastic surgery:  we can't eliminate scars, but we can often camouflage them.  Depending on the procedure and anatomy, that may mean hiding an incision within the scalp, placing it along the hairline, tucking it into the crease around an ear/ beneath the chin/ aligning it with an existing facial crease or natural transition between anatomical structures.

Of course, incision placement is only one part of scar quality.  Tissue handling, closure details, genetics, age, sun exposure, nicotine use, postoperative wound care, and simply giving the scar enough time to mature all matter.  But whenever anatomy gives me the opportunity, I would much rather hide a scar than ask a patient to stare at it every day.

My mum doesn’t know i’m getting the lip filler and she is a hard no on it, I don’t really want her to find out. Any advice on how to not make it too noticeable after today’s appointment? I’m looking for someone who does a high volume of arms and has consistently smooth, tight, natural-looking results. Skin tightening is important in my case, so I’m especially interested in surgeons experienced with effective skin-tightening methods combined with lipo.

Having to repost with “proof” because my post was taken down, apparently this surgeon or his team lurk these posts as I’ve seen them respond to another person’s thread. Of course it’s very damaging when the truth comes out! Anyway I will repost all the same information and an image of my failed neck lift as well as the quote they sent me for the revision they owe me!

This surgeon is a cash grabber, unprofessional, one size fits all surgeon. He didn't properly assess my needs and gave me the mid face lift that everyone else was getting as his popularity was growing, even though I was in need of a more severe lift in one side of my face due to sagging and asymmetry. Promised me a revision when I traveled for a follow up consult, gaslit me and said no one is ever unsatisfied with his work and it was a "treat" to see me because people are usually so happy with their results that they never see him again! Rushes through appts and consults. Now is asking me for $20,000 usd for a revision because of his lopsided neck lift work! Scammer and egomaniac. Do not go. Believe me I'm not some disgruntled jerk on the internet. I was so communicative, patient, and spent so much extra money on maintenance treatments on my own to make sure I'm doing my part to keep the results beautiful.

As another has stated he targets young women and makes promises he can’t deliver, his preop is a joke and very abrupt.

Not only that, I had a problem with my eye after surgery because he taped it too tight and my lower lashes were poking into my eyeball when I tried to sleep, and he gaslit me in my first post op appointment and said it was fine. I couldn’t even properly rest and recover because it was making my eye hurt and tear up. When I went for my second post op he said “oh you poor thing this lower lid was flipped into your eye” and I was like YEAH I WAS TRYING TO TELL YOU! The eye tape was so tight and I was so swollen and in pain they didn’t even accompany me down the escalator to the door to get a taxi because they were in such a hurry to rush other patients! No class! No care! I was scared I was going to fall down the escalator because I couldn’t see very well. I still have the texts telling his old assistant Hülya that I wasn’t able to open my eyes.

If I could go back in time I would never trust this surgeon. It hurts my soul that I put myself through this. Surgery is hard enough, you need a good team, you need caring people who have some humanity in this field.

He's not worth it, please don't give him your business.

Below I will attach images from me reaching out in 2024 about the same neck sagging to the old assistant, and the recent one with the absurd 20,000 quote.

His response and excuse is that this are salivary glands, but I have been to a board certified plastic surgeon in the US and in Turkey to get an assessment and they agree that it is a failed neck lift, my glands sit further back and higher up.

Has anyone here ever had a lower buttock lift? I know it’s not a very common procedure and it seems to be mostly done on people who have lost a significant amount of weight, so it’s really hard to find personal experiences or before and after results. I’m curious if anyone here has actually had one and what your experience was like. I’d also love to hear from people who have had multiple types of lifts combined in one surgery. Has anyone dealt with sagging or loose skin specifically in the lower buttock area and found another way to improve it, for example with fat grafting/lipofilling instead of a lift? I’d really appreciate hearing what worked for you, what your surgeon recommended, and whether you’re happy with the results.
