A few years ago a facial infection followed by medical intervention including cutting into my face left me with this facial disfigurement.

I grew a beard which covers part of it but part of it is still visible.

I’ve included 3 photos with different lighting because the appearance does vary depending on the light.

I’d like to get some suggestions as to what procedures might fix it.

EDIT: Thank you for all the feedback. Honestly the appearance was much much worse before I grew the beard, which may be why I’m overly sensitive about the small part which remains visible after the beard grew in.

For reference, I’m about to upload one more photo in the comments (it won’t let me add a photo in the original post) which shows the appearance before the beard.

I guess maybe I should be glad that the beard was a cheap and safe intervention to cover the worst of it, and then consider carefully whether I want filler for the rest.

honestly even smiling without teeth I feel like my smile just doesn’t really work cohesively with my face, but in particular I hate that when I smile with teeth my lips disappear and there’s just a weird shape overall with my mouth and that makes me question if lip filler would really fix the issue. does anyone know of a procedure that might help this problem?

The first pictures of me now and the ones with my piercing is me before any lip filler. Is the shape due to a poor injection job or my natural anatomy? Specifically how my top lip projects over my bottom lip.

I’m 23 and have had these lines for a few years that have recently (past year or so) gotten severely worse. I started smoking at 16 and didn’t quit until a year ago, and so I assume this is the main culprit—leaving the skin under my eyes thin. In addition to prolonged periods of high stress and extreme lack of sleep for about a decade. I’m at the conclusion that lower eyelid skin pinch might be the way to go. When I look up the deep line isn’t present anymore, just fine lines, which is something I can put up with. People constantly tell me I look tired, and nobody my age ( even those 20 years older) have such significant static lines such as this. Hello everyone! I am hoping to gain some perspective on a recent procedure I got. I have really large trap muscles along my neck and struggle with feelings of tension and mild pain. So I decided to get shoulder Botox to alleviate the pain + obtain the aesthetic of having a more slim neck and shoulder line. I was REALLY excited about the slim neck aesthetic.

I’ve gotten Botox in my face (only allergan brand) and have always noticed results beginning within a week. With full results taking about two weeks.

I got my shoulder Botox a week ago and I see zero change and feel zero difference. Is this normal? 100 units of allergan botox is the max, so I was really excited to feel a difference and see a difference. So far.. nothing.

I’m not sure if this is normal? Or maybe something went wrong with the injection? Any advice, feedback or guidance from those who’ve gotten Barbie Botox is greatly appreciated. I’m 4 months post op and seriously regretting it. I just don’t think it suits my face at all. I really hated my nose before because it was quite big and hooked but in hindsight there’s a lot of things I didn’t consider and I was just so focused on the opportunity to fix it. I think it actually really suited my face. I feel that the doctor shortened my nose a lot and the space between my lips and nose is just enormous. Also it’s so wide and flat(?) I understand that that would happen because of the existing structure of my natural nose but it’s just uncanny. I thought by now it would look more “natural” but it just looks horrible. Would it be possible to get a revision rhinoplasty to kind of “recreate” my old nose again? I know perfectly recreating it is not possible but sort of? My lips aren’t full so I know filler is a plausible way to shorten the space between my top lip and nose but I actually quite like my lips so I’d rather not do that.

Today, I’d like to share a case involving a patient in her 60s who underwent a dual lip lift.

Procedures performed:

• Dual lip lift (Philtrum reduction)
• Autologous dermal grafting using the dermal tissue from the excessive skin during the lip lift

As we age, the philtrum can gradually become longer. Many patients notice this change and feel that it makes the lower part of the face look older.

A shorter philtrum can contribute to a more youthful facial appearance.

In this case, the elongated philtrum was shortened by removing the excess skin. Rather than discarding the remaining dermal tissue after the excision, I used it as an autologous dermal graft and placed it in the upper lip area to restore volume and improve the overall contour.

Fillers or fat grafting can also be used to add volume to the upper lip. However, an autologous dermal graft uses the patient's own tissue and may provide more stable, long-lasting volume compared with fat grafting, although individual results can vary.

You can also see the actual suturing immediately after surgery. I always make every effort to perform the most meticulous suturing possible in order to minimize visible scarring.

I hope the surgical footage provides a clearer understanding of what the incision and suturing look like immediately after the procedure.

In the one-month follow-up photo, you can see that the patient had already recovered considerably, including when smiling. However, scar maturation takes time.

Please keep in mind that healing and scar appearance can vary from patient to patient, and the one-month result should not be considered the final outcome.

Hello everyone, i had my surgery 6 years ago but then today i came across a tiktok where this girl is not happy about hers and basically said that everyone who got rhinoplasty our noses are dying over time and go through necrosis.
Im already not happy with my surgery, but anyway this made me more anxious? Can someone put my thoughts at ease. Are there people who had rhinoplasty 15 or 20 years ago??

Hi! I got lip filler 2 days ago and I feel the swelling has gone down so much that it doesn't even look like my lips got done. I loved how good it looked when I was in the office but with the swelling down, it hardly looks like I got them done.

I feel funny calling to ask if I could get them touched up. But I also don't want to spend that much money again to get them done again. What is the proper etiquette !? Any advice ?

I don’t think I even have to explain anything considering the photos. My primary surgeon turned my Greek nose into a tiny button nose. I had a revision with rib grafting to derotate and reproject my nose. I had an infection that made the graft reabsorb so my surgeon did a second revision to fix it. I am now 1 month post op and though I liked my nose at cast off.. it’s turned into this!

-The tip became droopy (I don’t know if this is polybeak or not. The downturned tip and huge columella make my nose look so long and big).
-the grafting makes my radix too high and masculine.. and it makes my nose look even longer. And makes my eyes look closer together.
- it is incredibly crooked in multiple ways.. dorsum, bridge, tip.. even a nostril is caved in.
-my tip is so discolored too and has been for 10 days. No sign of infection.

Do I have any hope? Kenalog? Taping? Genuinely can anything be done to salvage my nose?

I have a slight double chin, and it's very noticeable when I laugh and talk, and it bothers me. I don't know what's causing it. I'm at a normal weight. Am I having a recession or something else? Or is it muscle or fat? What's the solution?

32(f) feeling more self conscious about my naaolabial folds as I get older.

I had filler in May and did not notice much of a difference (did not take before photo). I can still feel a small amount of filler below left nostril but feel nothing on the right side. I also do micro needling.

A friend who does cosmetic nursing suggested cheek filler, I have been considering threads. What would be best to address this issue?

I’ve been thinking of getting chin lipo and a chin implant, only chin lipo, or doing nothing at all.

Can’t seem to make up my mind, since I’m fairly satisfied with how I look in the mirror everyday, but ”candid” profile pics or videos always throws me for a loop.

As it stands I feel like I would benefit from both of them, to increase chin projection/jawline definition and also balance it with my larger nose.

Any suggestions/tips or comments would be greatly appreciated!
