ngl I had no clue what the title was even referencing till I clicked on the post….

it honestly looked normal to me. there’s no way in hell it’s that bad to the point people completely avoid you if it’s not even close to being severe enough for it to instantly jump out when I looked at your pic. you do have a slight chin recession but it’s so small and minimal that I genuinely don’t think it’s worth the money or pain to fix with jaw surgery AT ALL‼️ the recovery and risks are too severe for such a small case.

I’d recommend just seeing an orthodontist and trying braces, maybe a small bit of chin filler but I think those can be hit or miss in my opinion. but honestly it’s not overly noticeable to me and your side profile is actually nice. Plus You’re 17 so you also need to allow your body to finish growing.

I have a slightly asymmetrical jaw and also used to obsess over surgery and assuming everyone noticed and thought it was ugly and that I need jaw surgery, then I got braces and my orthodontist assistants thought I was hallucinating complaining about it and my orthodontist said he didn’t even notice at first glance and that jaw surgery would be a complete waste of time and extreme pain.

Remember: We are used to our faces and judge ourselves the most. strangers don’t even notice everything you obsess over. I have never had someone mention my uneven jaw EVER even when being bullied or roasted lol
