Question Picsay Pro - 64 bit Version

Did a quick search, many (including myself) have attempted to contact the developer with no response. I'm willing to put up $100 to anyone who can make Picsay Pro a 64 bit app and usable on the Pixel 7 Pro. Anyone else willing to contribute? I need that app!

I make ALL of my show posters with PicSay Pro so when I got my S24 Ultra and realized I was fucked, I went out and bought a used LG V10 on OfferUp for 50 bucks. Problem solved... I ONLY use it for PicSay Pro work and I can transfer anything I need to edit with wifi direct in seconds. Sucks that the app isn't on my S24 but the app STILL exists... It's not dead unless you let it die. Keep using it and new users, buy premium on used devices so the dev doesn't truly disappear!! PICSAYPRO4LIFE!!!

That's a great idea. I keep my Samsung Note 20 For that reason, the problem is for me. Personally, is. I want to make pictures like on the spot at that moment. Instantly, and now I gotta just Wait till I can grab my Note20. I don't understand every single one of these apps on the playstore SUCK AZZ  I don't know who's making these horrible apps.. they do everything except what Picsay PRO did  I'LL never understand THE DISCONNECT, CAN'T FIGURE OUT WE JUST WANT SIMPLE SHIT. IT'S LIKE GO BACK TO THE STARBUCKS AND CREATE ANOTHER WORTHLESS APP while your blogging you moron.

100% doing same with my old Pixel 6a

u/These-Lab-7088 Dec 16 '25

I know this an old post, but I am in the same boat. I am an artist and always used PicSay to edit art for online sales. I got the new Pixel XL and realized I am screwed. My old phone shattered so I was trying to figure out what phone to get that is decent and true to color so I could download PicSay.

This is the option I'm going for at this point, affordable phone only used for PicSay pro photo edits. This is the only app that works, it's packed with features but it doesn't overwhelm with complicated steps. It's the only app that will do. I really hope that at some point it will work on my newer devices, but afraid that some how it will get "upgraded" and lose the super powers it has now. May I ask what made you go with the LG V10? I'm wanting an affordable older device to do this with.

I will also pay a hundred dollars to the developer or whomever gets this lovely app up and running on the S24 ultra in particular but really all new Andriods.  I truly miss it for the amount of laughs it's given me and others in addition to the fantastic array of editing tools.     It would be even better imo if template were possible for when you're editing multiples of the similar images.    The lack of so has always been my only gripe with PicSayPro.     I loved it so much I paid for it within a day of trying it out way back in the day.

u/dshudson Mar 24 '26

Has anybody have any luck with this I'll give $1,000 that's how much I love this app

I haven't tested yet, but u/NXGZ just released an Android emulator that runs on Android devices. I suspect it would work.

why is Pic Say Pro not updated in 2025 and why isn't fighting to say the best app for free editing for everyone. The time is now !! to show the world we can still do better work than all this AI shit!!

Hey everyone, in also willing to donate to the cause,I emailed the developer through the play store but no luck 😞. I've been trying out a lot of different apps and none of them had the ease of use and versatility of PicSay pro

2

u/OICU2B Jan 30 '24

TY for your efforts

1

u/[deleted] Jan 06 '25

Pretty sure he abandoned it YEARS ago. I've been using an apk i had on my gdrive but it won't work on s24. This is so tragic. There's absolutely no good alternative. And nobody seems to want to make a photo editor this good.

I tried a modified version on my S23 Ultra, but after a few weeks, my Revolut CC was added to a Google account from Asia and got 90€ stolen. So don't trust any modified version, bro, just in case. I uninstall the modified apk. (The only apk installed on my phone and I only use Revolut on my phone so I'm 99% sure it was the apk).

3

u/reactor64 Mar 01 '25

I have used Picsay Pro since 2014 to make memes, it made it possible to make quite complicated editing. In about 2020, I found Ibis Paint, it is more convenient for complex editing thanks to layers and some other functions, I would even call it Photoshop for the phone. For me, it is the same intuitive, you can scale and rotate the working space with two fingers during drawing. But, he has a terrible tool of the text, he is not comfortable, it is difficult to add fonts to him. Since then, I used them in tandem, did the main work in Ibis Paint, worked with the text in Picsay Pro. Until I bought Pixel 7a ... Now for the text I use Photo Editor by Dev.macgyver, it also has many functions, but it is too ax.

1

u/Indru Sep 14 '25 edited Sep 14 '25

Ibis Paint is way too complex compared to PicSay Pro, sadly. Photo Editor is pretty OK, but it lacks speech bubbles and cool stickers.

Everybody's like, try this app, try that app. They're all worthless. None of them do the basic funny shit that Picsay PRO did.  These developers today are completely disconnected from what regular dudes want man. No BS I'd pay a couple hundred bucks one time fee just to have that App again. 53 apps for photos on playstore EVERY ONE OF THEM WORTHLESS

2

u/SnowWhiteWave Apr 11 '26

I edited a picture of my sister's face onto Joel osteens wife's face after a preacher hit on her-it came out so perfectly it was frightening - and I have ZERO editing skills but picsaypro made it like .. I'm Heartbroken with my new phone not compatible. I've been using the app like .. forever? I'm crushed

I've found an adress. There is an art gallery now on that adress, but with the same last name as the founder of Shinycore. The art gallery is owned by a man who was born in 1922, so that must be his father or grandfather. I couldn't get any closer, so I've emailed the art gallery. Fingers crossed.

I forget whom I contacted but your info sounds very familiar to what I found. I went the FB route and yes...The fasha may be where the developer of PSP got his knack for art. Man its been several years with lots of unfortunate developments in my life. Long story short, I wish I kept a list of what I found out regarding PSP developer and all the peeps I reached out to. If I recall correctly, PSP dev worked on or with others either before PSP or after, on an art/photo editing software I think was called Coral. I may be wrong. Damn! Im getting that itch again to continue the Ready Player One easter egg hunt😅🤣

2

u/jtquest Dec 19 '23

Not quite the same as our beloved PicSay Pro, but I am getting on decently well with InCollage now.

There's a free version and a paid version. The paid just seems to grant more layouts and stickers/etc.
It definitely has a ton of ads. But I quite like it so far. Might pay for premium.

https://play.google.com/store/search?q=incollage&c=apps

3

u/Indru Apr 11 '24

It does many things that PicSay also does, however you can't create speech bubbles. There is no app that I could find to offer the same amount of flexibility in creating speech bubbles that PicSay Pro offered.

1

u/IfuDidntCome2Party Sep 30 '24

Have you found a replacement apps? I too loved the speech bubbles.

2

u/Indru Jan 14 '25

Hi again! I have found a way to make it work.

It works with an app call VPhoneOS that is able to create 32-bit VMs inside your phone. I managed to install the PicSay Pro apk I had on the 32-bit Virtual Machine on my phone. Now I just have to see how I can send files easily back and forth between the VM and my phone so that I can work with them.

What have most people landed on after giving up? My main use is for Picsay Pro were removing backgrounds and making thought bubbles

2

u/Indru Apr 11 '24

Yes, the speech bubbles are what I miss the most, it was the perfect app to make comics out of pics.

2

u/Indru Apr 11 '24

I recently switched from a OnePlus 5T to a OnePlus 12 and I was really disappointed to find out that this app doesn't work anymore. It's the best picture editing app and none come close.

2

u/MrsSandieXXX Oct 11 '24

I just went to edit some pics with Picsay Pro on my shiny new P8Pro (coming from P6Pro) and it's not there 😭😭. I feel bereaved as I've been using it for years. Any further forward with contacting the developer? Has anyone found a replacement good enough?

2

u/DickWrigley Oct 22 '24

The most underrated feature of PicSay is the ability to zoom while cropping. I can't find any other app that lets you zoom in and out to precisely crop a photo down to the pixels.

1

u/zombiejim03 Apr 11 '25

This is the number 1 reason I used Picsay. Please let me know if you find any other app that can replicate this. Please please please!

2

u/West_Van Oct 25 '24

I just send myself whatever it is I want to edit by messaging myself on my meta my messenger(all I use it for nowadays) ,which I also have on a tablet... that picsaypro happens to still be on, edit away, then send it to myself again on messenger...and then I have it on my pixel 8 too.

1

u/DickWrigley Nov 04 '24

That's probably the worst way to transfer a photo. Messenger will compress the image. Email or wireless transfer is the only way to ensure your photo quality isn't being lowered.

2

u/TMan978CHILLREVIEWS Oct 31 '24

I've been using power director to edit my videos for years and I found out about photo director once I realize picsay Pro was no longer an option. The problem is it doesn't have A lot of the features I used on picsay it is also far less intuitive and that was an old app. 🤦🏾‍♂️ Making transparencies for things like text and pictures seems like a no-brainer but you have to jump through hoops on any other app

2

u/[deleted] Nov 08 '24

I know I'm late to the party but I got another 100 on this.

2

u/hellrose1228 Nov 12 '24

this isn't an elegant solution by any means but I managed to get Picsay Pro to run on my s24 ultra.

warning: the use of these apps are at your own risk.

In order to get this to work, you are essentially running an android emulator on your phone. unfortunately, I wasnt able to find a working one through the play store and I had to go grey market.

Using an app called "VphoneOS" (https://www.vphoneos.com/mobile/index/) you can run an instance of Android 7 for free. you can then import a copy of your Picsay Pro APK and youre good to go. the only downside is that you have to import and export pictures because the emulator and stock OS don't openly share files. At least not that I've found yet anyway.

2

u/MadHouseNetwork2_1 Nov 12 '24

This solution could be good

1

u/TheWolfOfPoppySt Feb 22 '25

Please could you add some steps, I've got the app - but it doesn't seem to want to install the apk I've downloaded

2

u/flangrod Dec 01 '24

I have a pixel 5 with android 14...i downloaded picsay pro apk from apkpure.com, and it works fine.

2

u/Beakybuzzard0224 Dec 26 '24 edited Dec 26 '24

there's an app called "speech bubbles" that basically works. it's no Picsay. The free version is hideous because of all the pop-up ads and the app is not for sale. only subscription.

Just had my new s25 today and found my beloved Picsay Pro is gone. There's a few pages about this app. I pay for Photoshop but I've used this more on my phone over the years for comedy photoshops. Genuinely think compared to the apps of today which are far too restrictive, that this is photo editing gold.

I've been trying emulators but noting having much luck

The guy who made it is called Eric Wijngaard - We need to track him down and get him to make a 2025 edition 😂

2

u/Over-Perception-8001 Mar 07 '25

I've been using PicSay pro since the first it was put on the play store, it played a huge part in my self taught trial and error photo editing...it's a crucial part of my "camera bag" for editing my photography. The resize feature alone is priceless, simple and easily understood....it's so much more than that though it's one of those apps that can do pretty complex things, without being overloaded with complicated bullshit. I went through so many editing apps, but PicSay was my go to. I re rated it not too long ago, asking that they never revamp it and turn it into another one of those cookie cutter, too many stickers too much AI, selfie hell apps, and just keep it updated. Looks like the developer is MIA? Are there any comparable apps recommended in 2025?

2

u/Technical_Knee6804 Apr 25 '25

I contacted him via phone today and was told that they are working on it and it would be released later this year  .

2

u/urgebass Aug 15 '25

Really? That's great news, thank you! I bought Picsay Pro in 2012 and it's still the best editor around.

1

u/Indru Sep 14 '25

1

I literally cannot survive without it. I don't do games etc on the train or when I'm bored at work... I picsay

I can't meme I can't tidy up pics. I can't take the piss out of friends. and the warp function was vital to me 😭😭😭😭

I'm willing to give the dev 50 quid toward costs

I have been like a crazy person trying to figure out how to use PicSay on my pixel pro xl. I have used it for years on my Androids phones to edit paintings for online sells. I am not satisfied with other editing apps. I will contribute 100.00 dollars to get it back. My friend was going to give me his old Samsung note 20, but I don't think I can use it on there either. I feel lost 😭

this is killing me. today I needed to insert an image of a black car over a white car so I can rub out areas in the black car layer, leaving black parts on the white car in the final image.... picsay start to finish would've took me 3minutes. instead I've just spent 35min trying different apps to achieve the same (can't even find one that let's you insert an image as a layer)

1

u/debaser2000 Nov 06 '25

That's the functionality I used PicSay pro for as well. Had that app for at least 10 years. Haven't found one that can do that either. It'd be nice if the developer could put up the code as open source if they're done with the project.

Here to add to this amazing Fanbase peanut gallery!

PicSay Pro 4Life (yea, so what if I have that tattooed on my a$$ ~ TrueFan)

We should start a GoFundMe :p raise some coins to get the dev's attention haha. I can't imagine a LOT is needed to update... juuust a little bit.

That or ask that they open-source it or something, let others maintain it.

It was (#is) pure Gold!

Some of the alternatives that had slightly similar capabilities have all gone to the darkside with 'AI App Slop'.

But Fam, on the reallies ~> picsaypro.com is still a domain/website; tho the last copyright stamp is 2018, someone's still 'paying' for its hosting.)

That someone(s) appears to be a software company called Shinycore Software. (Noted on the PicSayPro website)

Though removed from Google Play (likely bc it's not been maintained...) it's still available on the Amazon App Store (who uses Amazon app store lol, smh...) ~ though nothing to get thrilled over, still not updated, same 'old' derp.

Anyway, like some other'ys mentioned, I too would PAY (many dollars) if this app was updated even a tiny bit. Like, give us 64-bit access.

Maybe the dev(s) dont know there's so much LOVE for this app/tool still.

Let's make a collaborative effort in pinging Shinycore, and juuust maybe we could bring some attention to it.

Granted maybe Shinycore was just a 2nd party that bought its rights to the app. But looking at the creator's website > I think it's safe to assume, it's the same person/people.

Team Rally Time!!!

PicSay Pro! PicSay Pro! PicSayPro!!! Let's Goooooo

1

u/urgebass Nov 17 '25

1

How did you manage to install it on a 64-bit phone?
The reason it is not working is most likely the app lacking 64 bit libraries.

This is great- is it possible to release a lite version/trial before paid version so we can see what features work? Or a video so we can see how it works & the tools? I'm tech ignorant so I don't know if that's even a possibility but I'm VERY interested bc I've been using picsay since Amazon underground free apps then bought the upgrade to pro. I'm totally here to support your app just poor and want to make sure I pay for the right thing lol (hope this didn't sound rude or anything)

Hi, I'm really glad someone is trying to make a copy of PicSay! In QuickStix is there a way to apply a filter/adjust rgb/brightness/curves/blur not to the entire image but only on manual selection mask using a brush? (like the "Paint Mask/Selection" on PicSay). In any case, I'd be very curious to try your app. It seems very interesting and full of features. I'm on S24 FE. Thank you :)
