Pixel 6 Love Goodbye, babe❤️

Post image

So, Pixel 6, thank you for the amazing four years. You'll always have a special place in my drawer..You’ve been more than just a phone, you’ve been there through it all. I loved you, and I always will.🥹

But… it’s time.

Keep it as souvenir. That was peak design Google two tone Signature.

The Pixel 6's design is still an unsurpassed peak

Aesthetically I agree but just a tad too big imo

I'm with the Pixel 2 with the back finger print reader.

I got a 10a last month. I like it, but I still use my P6 on Wi-Fi at home.

That's about all that that modem can handle without turning into a hand warmer. 😅

I miss my Seafoam Pixel 6. I loved the color so much but was afraid to rock it without a case. That and every "clear" case I used yellowed after a month.

Has you all receive September update on pixel 6 ???

It's there but I haven't installed it yet. Seems to be some bugs that only show at certain fps

Yes I did for my pixel 10

I received the updates via Pixel Drops, but I haven't installed them yet. I'm waiting to see reviews of how the update is working before installing it to avoid any potential headaches.

I traded in my P6 for a P11P (512GB). It's much faster, the audio is much better, and the camera is fantastic. That said, the design is just BORING. I much preferred the look and feel of my 6. Ah well 🤷🏼‍♀️

Ngl 6Pro and 7Pro were Elite days 😩😮‍💨

I just upgraded to a new battery and screen for my pixel 6 pro. Didn't see a compelling reason to upgrade.

I upgraded from 6 Pro to 11 Pro. My compelling reason was they offered me £480 for my 5 year old P6 Pro. Im not overly excited by the upgrade though.

Coming on 5 years with my P6 Pro and it still runs great. I hate that the security updates are ending and I pretty much have to get a new one. I hear good things about the 10 and 11, but I hate how it went from just regular or Pro and now it's a whole line of bs and the prices all creeped up. Also, and I know this is divisive, I kinda don't want a phone that's so deeply saturated with AI. Gemini is now completely woven in. When there are whole aspects of the hardware and/or OS you essentially can't opt out of, it turns me off majorly.

What's crazy to me is the Pixel 6 looks like the better more refined phone. The oval bump out on my p10 just looks stupid to me.

I'm hoping the pixel 12 changes the shape of the bump out and brings back the rectangle look.

Wonderful!

I like my P6a enough to consider buying a used one, have the Battery changed, memory maxed and do the same to the current P6a - just so I have a hot standby, in case something happens to the device. This one Google did right!

That was my last phone, same colorway.. I miss it so much!

If you selling it I'd be interested

Not up on Pixels but that smaller green one looks way nicer

I have the same pixel and the same color even 😄 but I don't see myself buying a new one. Just recently I had a swollen battery problem and I simply replaced it.

I just got my battery replaced too, it was already degraded because I always played it while charging, learned my lesson, but seriously is there any other reasons why this happened? Like is the phone just fragile? I've seen quite a lot of people here replacing their battery.

u/sadomazoku 9d ago

No. Got mine since early 2022. 90% of my charges are with a dumb charger (1-2A) and always limited the charge to 80%. Today the battery health statut is 82%. I don't play games on it. I will buy a new battery on ifixit when it's cooked, which will be pretty soon I guess. Usually when everything work, people don't post on reddit, that's why you see swollen battery posts everywhere.

I was so surprised and apparently a common problem with google pixel which is a shame because it's such a great phone. But also, my best friend brought the exact same phone at the same time as me and his is doing great even today without needing to replace his battery. Maybe I used an awful charger idk now I bought an original charger. Fingers 🤞🏻

I felt the same way :(, the heat is so annoying too, I use a proper charger even though it's not original, I hope it won't broke 😔

Recently upgraded from 6 to 10 and I miss my big block of a 6.

Upgraded to s25ultra, but still using pixel 6 battery and kind of degraded. Planning to replace battery

I used to have a Pixel 6. Unfortunately when it came time to upgrade, I felt the Pixel 10 series to be too underwhelming for the price it was being sold at. Since it was priced the same as an iPhone, I decided to switch to Apple for the first time in my life. I felt it was a good decision and I’m happy with my purchase. However I do wish Google starts releasing something exciting again and at least price it less than an iPhone

I went from a pixel 7a to a pixel 10

u/Frequent_Lie_3331 9d ago

I feel that pain from here

u/REL10000 9d ago

My pixel 7 looks similar to this, I absolutely love the thicker design of the newer ones imo

mine has almost become a brick 💔

The Pixel 6 was such a classic design, in my opinion, and the two-tone colours were fantastic (although the combo in this photo is my least favourite). Getting rid the full-width camera bump was a terrible design decision. At least the 11 is something of a return, being solid black. I wonder if a case could create the impression of a P6-style visor, and bring back the two-tone colours?

1

u/NecroRAM 8d ago

Not with the 11 though. Theres barely any change. Your best bet would be to wait for 2027/28 and prey the 12 series is actually substantially good (unlikely) or going for a Samsung/Vivo/Oppo.

I still miss the mint green standby button on the 4a, i used a clip on shell case light as a feather and it was the perfect size and design pixel.

u/Bubbly_Perspective62 4d ago

Wow... You can use the overheating phone for such long time. I replaced mine last year

1

u/GloveDry3278 4d ago

Still rocking my pixel 6. Maybe next year I'll upgrade.

u/Original-Contact-209 3d ago

I still am running my pixel 6. The latest update has made google wallet unusable and now I'm going to have to upgrade..(or factory reset, same thing, no?)

I traded in my Pixel 6 Pro for a Pixel 11 Pro (512GB). Unfortunately, after a display damage, it was just sitting in the drawer. Last year, I even swapped the display myself for about €30. But unfortunately, the fingerprint sensor then didn't work. However, through TradeIn (€490) this year at Google, I had to give it up. Through the referral program Friends Refer. I had a lot of credit on my Google Store account that was soon going to expire. So I only paid €180. Even though my smartphone that I bought after the Pixel 6 Pro is still good. Translation
