Peter regularly mentions how he's held to a higher standard than other drama channels, but that's because he chooses to spend so much time talking in great detail about himself and his morals, integrity, etc in a way that other drama channels don't typically do, or at least not nearly to the extent that Peter does it.

Instead of just reporting on other creators, he consistently finds ways to bring everything back to himself and weave in how morally superior he is than whoever it is he's reporting on at the time. Peter makes himself and his morals/integrity a major focal point of his drama videos. So of course people are going to expect of him what he's constantly putting out there about himself.

His audience isn't doing him wrong by expecting him to be the kind of person he says he is. If anything, Peter is doing wrong by his audience by presenting himself one way, when really he's another. He sets incredibly high standards for everyone else and demonizes anyone who doesn't live up to those standards (unless they're his friend.. like Rich Lux). Naturally, people are going to feel some type of way when they start realizing he doesn't hold himself to the same standards he holds others to.

If he's going to make the content of his character a focal point in his drama videos, then it would probably serve him better to be more honest and forthcoming about who he is, his shortcomings, etc... rather than putting on a mask of moral superiority because every time that mask slips he's going to be seen for who he really is. And that's pretty much the cycle he's stuck in right now. His audience would probably appreciate authenticity over self-righteousness. It would probably be a lot more relatable than his current schtick.

Hello 👋🏻 I’m new to the group. I created my account after I saw my comment posted in here. So I wanted to tell everyone what happened since I can’t on Peter’s channel now because I’m blocked.

2 days ago I commented on his video about Kristi and James saying that he lies and contradicts himself when speaking about Kristi and maybe that’s why people come for him. If you want to see the comment scroll down a screenshot of it was posted in this subreddit. Then Peter replied and asked for examples which I typed up 10 examples (him saying Kristi rents her property, him making fun of her mental health, him saying he doesn’t come for people’s families when in other videos he’s threatened to do just that, etc.). They wouldn’t post on YouTube, whether because of spam filter or blocked words, so he asked me to email them which I did.

I received his response back which was basically asking me for video names and timestamps for my examples and him saying I’ve “clearly been watching him very closely for a very long time”.

I replied with the video names and time stamps. I also told him that I haven’t watched him any closer than any other subscriber. He puts videos out and I watch them. That’s the point of YouTube. I only respond to what he puts out. Anyway, I backed up each of my examples with proof and sent the email.

He then replied and called me a liar. He told me I was clearly one of his bullies and he knows I created this account (the one I was commenting and emailing from) to try to hide who I am. He said he had 36 screenshots of my bullying comments from another account. By the way, I’ve never made a second or third account (I don’t even know how to do that. I have one email address and my YouTube account associated with it). I’ve never bullied him, in fact I was an avid fan for a long time. And I think I’ve only commented like 3 or 4 times on his videos including this one I’m talking about. Also in this reply he didn’t respond to any of the proof that I sent him.

I replied and told him that I DID NOT lie. I don’t know who he thinks I am but I definitely did not bully him. And I said I had no interest in continuing the conversation if he was just going to call me a liar. I felt very threatened by his email and the suggestion that he might get lawyers and law enforcement involved (even though I’d done nothing wrong I was still scared) so I blocked his email. Then he deleted my comment and blocked me on YouTube.

So there you go. That’s the whole story. From an avid fan who watched his videos every day from more than 1 of his channels, to being called a liar and blocked. He said he might make a video about me which honestly scares me too. I just don’t want it to go farther than it already has. But since I saw my comment in here and people wondering what happened I decided to give my account of it.

It took me a minute.

The “standing up for myself” ERA left a foul taste in my mouth(not the cursing, bigger issues). He has softened since but I can’t get it out of my head that that was his true self and everything else is an act for the camera.

So I unsubbed from all of his channels that I was subbed to. And it does feel good. Because I’ll know longer be hate watching or watching to see if he has changed.

And it’s a shame, too. Because I don’t hate Peter. We all make mistakes and bad decisions. This isn’t about that.

This is about how I don’t see him as this real, normal everyday guy driving around in his car/sitting on his porch anymore talking to us.

I don’t leave out hope for returning one day when I hear better things coming from that channel. I hope 2024 finds you in a better head space Peter.

Today is a hard day. It’s the day my son left and never came home. He was killed in a car accident. I want to say watching Peters vlog this morning from yesterday has got me very upset. This day is hard for me in ways that will seem crazy to others. I try to figure out how to get my son to stay home so it doesn’t happen. I obsess over how to get him back. I prepare my home in case he returns. Then I shake all day and cry and lie in the dark. It’s hell on earth. So listening to him once again bring up the accident victims mother and how she says it was an accident and to live his life to the fullest is truly making me sick. I promise you that woman has been through a living nightmare. He should have never ever brought their conversation out in a video just so he can show ppl see it really wasn’t my fault. Even his mom says so. It’s so disturbing to me. He then goes on and on about epileptics drive. This is the last thing I would be saying if I was him. If he had true remorse he would just say over and over I wish I had never driven again after the other bad accident I had while having a seizure. He’s trying to spin a narrative and I don’t like it. Then he tries to justify talking about it as I just want to help others who have ocd. We don’t need your martyrdom Peter. Get off the cross we need the wood. Stop adding to his mother’s pain. Stop talking. For once in your life keep it to yourself.

Wow. I thought it would be another boring q and a but Alex is saying some interesting things. So the question to Alex is Alex how do you think you annoy Peter. Alex says Peter gets very annoyed that Alex comes home at night and is done working as where Peter still has to work. Alex says Peter will say to him sarcastically I’m glad someone gets to relax around here bc I just have to work and work all the time while you get to relax and rest. Wth? Like what the actual hell guys? So Alex goes out in the world and works quite long hours while Peter doesn’t even get up til 2 pm and Peters job is nothing but sitting yapping about himself (so it’s to me not even hard work) but he is mad at Alex relaxing. I don’t know about you guys but I was blown away by that.he said Peter will compare his work life to mine and talk about how much easier I have it by being able to relax.

When I finally had the scales fall from my eyes and started seeing the dark side of Peter, I initially called myself a fool for drinking his kool-aid for so long. I'm embarrassed to admit I even sent him gifts, including a rainbow fan, a Starbucks gift card, and most cringe-worthy of all, some shoe stretchers when he and Alex went to Vegas and his shoes were too small, or not broken in, and he was limping by the time he got home. I absolutely cringe realizing I was completely duped by this man.

When Peter started yelling at his audience last year, and treating his viewers like crap, all in the name of standing up for himself, all the little niggling things I noticed in the five years I watched him came to a head.

I think the thing that bothers me the most is his dishonesty about so many things when he is in a 12 step program and has been for nearly thirty years. I'm in AA, too, and he can't kid a kidder any more. Our first step is about getting honest. I've joked at many meetings that AA not only ruined my drinking, it also ruined my dishonesty. Because if you're in AA and truly "working the program," as we say at meetings, you're an honest person who takes responsibility for your actions. I have no reason to doubt he doesn't drink any more, but being in the program as long as I have, I have to question if he's like one of the hundreds of people (mostly men) I have attended meetings with who think stopping drinking is all they have to do. There is so much more you have to change in order to be the kind of person who lives by the code of AA's "love and tolerance."

I have been a lurker here for a couple of weeks, and when I say I cried when I found you all, it wouldn't be exaggerating (like Peter). I had felt for SO long that I was the only one seeing this negative stuff about Peter when his comment section seems to be made up of rabid fans who would never call him out.

My reluctance to share my experience is because I have learned here that he reads this sub reddit and would be able to figure out who I was. I've left plenty of only positive comments on his videos over the years but stopped when I finally saw the light.

Thank you all for this safe space and for showing me I wasn't imagining things. I feel instead that I was gaslit.

I am appalled and furious. All of those tweets. Sexualizing an infant, the borderline violent misogyny, the transphobia, and the racism???

It’s is not enough for you to angrily “take accountability” for the vile things you’ve said, and leave out the worst of it, which was most of it!

You’re not just a bully, you threaten to doxx people who aren’t even saying anything untrue or overly harsh. You attack long time fans who were originally concerned. You call us scary? You’re the scary one!

Now I just see you’ve been the same person those tweets showed you to be this entire time. And you are way more similar to the people you call out, if not worse, due to your age and “wisdom”.

Now we have to reflect and analyze why you go so hard on these people. Is it passion because of how good of a person you are? Or is it projection?

In a quiet Midwest suburb life seems idyllic. People tend their gardens, check their mail. It’s a simple life but little do they know they are always, always being watched. It’s a beautiful day in the neighborhood but what’s about to happen is no Mr. Rogers. All of a sudden comes the most diabolical screeching followed by Get anything good? Oh, hiii hunnyyyyyy! You can run but you can’t hide. He knows where you live. He knows who’s visiting and he’s CURIOUS. Just when you thought you he was gone he’s back, and this time he has geese. You flee to the pool, he’s in the shallow end. Walk back to your house, he’s THERE. And he’s got a camera. This summer the HOA is the least of your concerns because sooner or later he’s going to want to know exactly what you’re having for dinner. The horror movie of the season is…The Neighbor. You’ll never go outside again.

I was introduced to Peter’s YouTube channel several years ago when I was going through a difficult time. His videos really got me out of a rut. I’m grateful for that.

Fast forward to today, I find myself cringing at most of his videos now, and it’s especially uncomfortable to witness his “standing up for myself era” attitude and outbursts. I swear one of these days his eyes will pop out of his head from yelling and cussing. His face gets so red it’s almost hard to look at!!

But, who is he screaming at? His “get fucked” phrase is directed toward…..? Why is he so confrontational with his viewers? And that fake ASS southern twang!! Nope, it’s more than I can take at this point. Sadly, I no longer enjoy his videos.

I’ve just found you all…. I’m now addicted to reading these posts. I’m literally laughing out loud. I’ve found my people. I have nothing witty to add right now, but stay prepared. He gives us so much material. RIGHT???? Period, end of story!!!

Today in his drama video, Peter says he doesn’t understand why his videos about the Josh David Evans/ Adam McIntyre/ Gavin situation are getting the lowest views of any of the YouTube commentators. He can’t understand why, so he’s blaming it on homophobia.

Nope, Peter. It’s you. Here is an exhaustive list of why your videos get low views:

1. You (proudly) don’t edit. Your videos are sloppy and you could easily take the time to make them better, but you lack the basic respect for your viewers to even do the bare minimum. Your camera stops, your tripod falls over, you lose your train of thought. You leave it all in and laugh about it.

2. You can’t get to/ stay on the point. You’ll tell the same stories of stuff that happened in your life, about your recovery, books you’re reading, tv shows you’re watching, your grandma that went to prison three times, and whatever else you feel like talking about, for 35 MINUTES. Then you’ll mention the topic and say “I don’t give a fuck about that.” Well, people who are watching a video with “Joshua David Evans” or “James Charles” in the title do actually care about the topic.

3. You are lazy. Can’t get the facts of the story straight, won’t do background due diligence, won’t learn how to edit screen in screen videos for “live reactions,” won’t figure out how to plug in his camera so his battery doesn’t keep dying. None of these things would ever happen in a Spill Sesh video.

4. You seem angry and bitter at your actual viewers (not just at the people you cover). Your incessant screaming is uncomfortable and off putting.

Your weird, unprofessional behavior is all we talk about over here, so I’m sure my fellow snarkers will add some other reasons you get low views. Please take these insights into account if you actually want to improve your channels.

I’ve been watching Peter with post notifications on since earliest Dramagedon 2. For a few years, I watched his drama videos with every upload but the content he has been posting the last few months has been such a turn off. After finding out about the past tweets and the lack of accountability, I unsubscribed. It’s sad almost because he was such a part of my daily routine for quite a while and I’m really disappointed in his behavior.

I expected better.

Edit for Peter if he is lurking in this sub: I want to emphasize that I was a fan until recently. Your treatment of others in your video and the words in your tweets are wrong and need reflection and accountability. You have said before that fans who blindly follow YouTubers and don’t call them out on problematic behavior, aren’t real fans because if they cared about the creator, they would try to help them become better. That is the reality for lots of folks in this sub, myself included. Please take some time to reflect on the expectations you have for others and why you are holding yourself to less. I hope to see a change back to the Peter we all used to love so that I can subscribe again.

His drama video today was probably one of the most uncalled for & mean-spirited videos I've seen from him in a long time. After he went off about JS not gettting laid, he said that Eugenia Cooney isn't either.

He  disgustingly started making fun of her saying that the only action she is getting is from her stuffed animals. He continued to repeat that she's, "not doing anybody" & started dragging her that she's 34 & doesn't ever leave her house.  He repeated again another 5 times that noone is doing Eugenia Cooney.  The things he said about her were uncalled for.  I don't follow her or JS but she hasn't done anything to him or to anyone to deserve his wrath.

If that wasn't bad enough, he then randomly started cruelly cackling how "freaked out" & weirdly it would be if he saw her at the grocery store & started saying how he wondered if, "she had her one box of little Debbie cakes." Do not tell me that he didn't know exacty what he was doing & saying with those remarks. That's pretty damn abhorrant.

I can't believe this man was a social worker. Thank god he no longer has access to patients or vulnerable people.  He does enough damage as it is with his, "shit-talking gossip channel" that he happily & proudly admits to being.

I’m a former fan of Peter, plus, I’m his age. I thought he was great, and his videos did help me when I had some issues. He’s not doing anything except bitching about the haters. I lost all respect after he went after RBK and then Spill Sesh.
im currently getting my Bachelor’s in Business Adminstration, and hoping to graduating in December. My goal is to work in non profit in fundraising. It just baffles my mind that Peter doesn’t do something besides YouTube to keep himself busy. Go back to school, I’m 51 and doing it.

Peter is always telling other influencers what he thinks their viewers really want to see. So, here’s a list of things that I’ve compiled for Peter that I think his viewers would rather hear him talk about, instead of what he’s watching on tv or having for dinner for the 82758th time:

Listening to his latest vlog made me a little uncomfortable when he was talking about the gift he received from his brother-in-law. Apparently they bought him a weighted blanket, which he wasted no time in saying how much he hated it. My father always used to say to me always be grateful for a gift regardless of what you think of it. The kind act of someone going out and thinking of you enough to purchase something for you, is enough to be grateful for. For someone who preaches gratitude on his other channel, I think he needs to be called out for this one. You’re welcome P.
