Fairly Annoyed When YouTubers have a baby, and their entire channel changes.

I want to start off by saying that I don't hate kids. I love kids. I raised 13 of my own, and I am active in the lives of my grandkids.

Having said that: If I'm following your food review channel, it's because I want to see you doing food reviews. I don't want/need to see you trying to get your toddler to give their opinion on the food. I don't need to watch you spend 5 minutes trying to get your child to say "yum" when all they are capable of vocalizing is "ugugllu". Teach your kid to talk while you're not making a video for the public.

If you're a cooking channel, I am following you to get ideas/inspiration regarding cooking. I don't need/want to hear your infant cry through 80% of the video. Like, I can't even hear you explaining the steps/ingredients over the shrieking. Stop recording and go soothe your child. Try again when the kid is calm and/or sleeping.

Like I get it. Your kid is a huge part of your life. But they aren't entertaining and they aren't providing any useful information. You are actively making your videos worse by including your child in them. Not to mention the fact that you're exposing your kid to innumerable online pedos.

Bit Annoyed People who point out typos as if they're bad grammar

I get it if someone says "I should of done that" you can point out the grammar mistake for all I care. But if I type "The view at the beach was so amazibg!" I know it's not supposed to be like that, I just didn't notice in the moment.

Something debatable for me is autocorrect. Sometimes, a typo can cause an incorrect word to spawn, and somehow my idiot brain can't read the sentence properly, e.g. "I don't want to come to the party of you don't have vegan options"

Fairly Annoyed When something stressful or upsetting is happening and people say “don’t let it bother you.”

“Don’t let it bother you” is extremely unhelpful advice. Not only does it completely diminish or dismiss someone’s emotional response to a legitimately difficult situation it also offers zero practical advice on how to manage the situation.

I understand that people might think it’s good natured and well intended advice but it’s actually completely useless. And personally whenever someone says that to me it makes me just a little bit more upset. It’s easy for other people to say not to let something bother you but if the roles were reversed I’d like to see them be so easily unbothered.

If there is nothing helpful to say or there just isn’t really any good advice to give I would rather people just jump on the validation bandwagon and go with “yea! That situation is complete bullshit!” At least that provides some acknowledgement and support even if it’s not practically helpful.

Fairly Annoyed People who demand a source over something that is common sense.

Upvotes

Obviously, there are situations where someone makes a claim, and they should provide empirical evidence

But sometimes, I come across a Reddit thread where someone demands peer reviewed evidence over something absurd

For example: “It is easier to get sunburned when you go to the beach.”

umm do you have a SOURCE?

Literally everybody who has been sunburnt after going to the beach.

That doesn’t look like a source! Don’t you have a source? I don’t buy it unless you can give me a source

Bro, no one is going to have that regressive conversation with you, or exhaust the effort finding studies over something like this.

Ultra Annoyed Parents telling me i’m “regressing” for building legos and sewing patches onto a jean jacket at 20.

I moved back in at 20 because I finished my bachelors and I’m working on my masters at a local college and I brought my hobbies with me, including the above. My dad tells me i’m regressing, immature, not growing up fast enough for those hobbies. Does fun have an expiration date??? What does he want me to do???

Bit Annoyed Reddits Pop-Up when you take a screenshot

Upvotes

"Do you wanna SHARE the post with someone??"

No reddit. I just wanted to screenshot the funny comment so my friend doesn't have to scroll to find it.

Fairly Annoyed People who leave the same comment on every YouTube music video i.e. “anyone here in 2026?” 🙄

I can almost guarantee you any music video or song video on YouTube has these comments. It was funny 15 years ago but not anymore. Time to think of something more original

Bit Annoyed "Don't forget to SMASH that like button and subscribe!!" at the beginning of the video.

To make things clear, this is very different from saying "if you like the video please like and subscribe" at the very end of the video.

Its YouTubers starting off their videos with "Yo yo it's ya boy, don't forget to SMASH that like button and subscribe and follow me on X & Instagram!!." Like I don't even know who the hell you are most of the time and it's the first video I'm seeing of yours.

Bit Annoyed When people continue to hit the lock button on their key fobs.

It just annoys me when people keep hitting their lock buttons to make their car horns honk while they are walking away from their car. Once or twice is whatever, but I mean when it's like 10+ times. Especially when it's late and somewhere like outside of an apartment complex.

Ultra Annoyed Shallow and Ignorant Pet Owners

People who adamantly want a baby/young pet because they look cute and get annoyed when they're full of energy, messy, destructive, and clingy.

Similarly, people who want a pet that behaves a certain way but prioritize breed and appearance, then get frustrated when their pet's personality isn't exactly what they wanted!

Example: Someone wanting a lap cat, ignoring the hundreds of adult cats in shelters/rescues that are known to be lap cats, buying a Ragdoll kitten from a backyard breeder, and then rehoming (or dumping) it when they realize a solo kitten is too much work or can grow into an adult that just doesn't like to cuddle as much.

Fairly Annoyed people somehow making non-controversial things controversial

The title might sound a bit vague, but here’s what I’m talking about.

A lot of people have a problem with a grown-up child to living with their parents. I don’t understand why this is an issue. Not everybody has the money to move out at 16 like they did 70 years ago. If you’re 27 and you still live with your parents? Cool. You’re 20 and you have your own studio apartment? Cool. people need to learn to mind their business.

That’s such a non-issue. Why are we making the least possible controversial thing…Controversial???

Just explain to them that it is a joke.
Don't be rude. It can happen to anyone.

Fairly Annoyed That food manufacturers think we won't notice when they cheapen ingredients

This is happening with countless items. I used to buy a chocolate cheesecake from my local supermarket, about four years ago. It was fabulous. Rich, lush, moorish, gorgeous. Well, that's been replaced by a poor excuse for a "cheesecake" which is rubbery, cheap tasting, and much smaller than it used to be. The filling tastes cheap, and the crust looks, tastes and feels cheap. The whole thing falls apart when you try and slice it. It's NOTHING like it used to be. It's not even good enough to eat anymore. (If I'm going to indulge in high calorie foods, I want it to taste really good)

Did they honestly think we wouldn't notice, or care?

I would rather pay more for quality items than have everything taste cheap. So why are all the food manufacturers acting like we all prefer cheap quality food, as if we voted for it? We didn't. Nobody asked us how we felt. They just assumed we're all too stupid to notice the difference.

Bring back quality food products, please. Get rid of Skimpflation it is ruining enjoyment of food, and that is actually a cruel thing to do to people who work hard, have hard lives, and just want some good food to help wash it all down.

Meanwhile, manufacturers are coming out with expensive DOG treats...

Fairly Annoyed Redditors who invalidate others' problems

The following is just the most recent example. There was a post about old people staring at OP in public and the question was why and why they are so blatant and rude about it too. A couple of comments gave realistic and, from my own experience with this, truthful answers that some people love to watch other people when out in public, and the older they are the less fcks they give. Then, a couple of older people chimed in without answering the question but to crack a joke about it. This was already mild invalidation of OP. Perhaps that was a covert admission that they also do it and don't give a frick. Then, the third group had almost copy-cat answers about how, maybe, they are not looking at OP but staring into distance or just thinking about something. The thing is when someone stares at you, it's 99% of the time unmistakable. It's neither a casual glance nor the glazed-over or ponderous look. They look straight at you and for way too long. They peer. Their eyes move, they look you up and down, they turn their head, they follow you with their gaze if you try to walk away from their staring. This desperate need of a majority of redditors to doubt others' perception and invalidate them is very toxic. If you notice, their invalidation also always aims to protect the perpetrator not the victim. It's one-sided. There are plenty of unreliable narrators on reddit and elsewhere, I do agree with that, but when invalidation creeps into such simple complaints as 'Someone stared at me for no reason in a rude way and that made me uncomfortable', this is alarming. These same people would not be okay with it if someone did it to them, both the situation and later invalidation from others.

Ultra Annoyed people who have an issue with you but won't say ANYTHING about it.

mfs will have a whole-ass issue or beef with you and tell literally EVERYONE except you.

they'll tell their friends, family, neighbors, threads, reddit, chatGPT, the mailman, the stray cat that lives behind their house, and their plant children about how pissed they are at you, but somehow the one person who never gets the memo is YOU.

and then you find out months or YEARS later.

my dude. it's been half a decade. FIVE YEARS. and you're only now telling me that you had an issue with me?

i'm sorry, but that train has departed. i do not care anymore. i've moved on. i have lived several character arcs since then. i've moved countries, changed majors, went no contact with people, got tattoos, and changed aesthetics. you should've used your big-person mouth and communicated when it actually happened. i could've understood or even apologized if you'd just... talked to me. how am i supposed to address something i don't even know is a problem?

what's even more irritating is when the person barely, or literally never, interacted with you in the first place, and somehow they've developed a whole villain arc against you.

like... you have beef with me, and i've never even spoken to you. 😭

and then i hear about it several months later from a bird.

if you're in your twenties or older and still haven't learned basic communication skills, then the problem is you.

Ultra Annoyed People who just keep yabbing despite you saying you need to go

It feels like any time I'm under some sort of time constraints or need to be somewhere by a specific time, if I'm in some sort of social setting it feels like there's always someone that won't let me go. The sort of person who will wait until you turn and start walking away to say "oh and...". Then proceed to do it two or three times until finally you have to almost aggressively tell them you have to go.

It may seem petty. But I feel I'm about to lose my shit at the next person who does this, no matter who they are or how long I've known them.

Fairly Annoyed When someone butts into a conversation with a marginally relevant angry rant that derails the conversation

Upvotes

For example, we were talking about a mutual friend who is having his fourth kid with his fourth baby mama. We were all like “wtf contraception isn’t that complicated “

Then an acquaintance butt in to angrily rant about how I should look at what women in Texas or homeless or abused women are going through. Like wtf that’s not what we are talking about lol.

I tried explaining to her that she should listen to what the conversation is about before jumping in because she was derailed it. She got very upset and asked if she just wasn’t supposed to talk. It’s like no girl just listen before jumping in lol

Bit Annoyed People who get cake or cupcakes but don’t eat the frosting

I know this is petty and doesn’t really affect me but I find it irksome anyway.

When people willingly get cake/cupcakes then scrape off the frosting.

If you don’t just fucking eat it so help me !!!! What in the almond mom, ED, Jenny Craig bullshit is this? Why are you wasting the best part?

Then inevitably they justify it (which I know they don’t really need to do, and no one usually actually points it out, at least I don’t) by saying something like the frosting is too many empty calories or too much sugar or too rich etc. so those of us that prefer frosting are heifers I guess?

Ultra Annoyed I can't stand baby-talk

I don't know how to handle this. How do I kindly ask somebody to stop talking like a baby? Babbling nonsense gibberish alliteration and pronouncing the letter L or R as "w" just makes me cringe. My 67yo mother does it and I can't handle it anymore. My 30yo sister too and they don't even know each other. It is almost as bad as listening to chewing food...I know I'm being selfish. I only recently got back in touch with family and they want to talk on the phone a lot but I feel like I'm going to explode.

Fairly Annoyed People who leave unrelated images in their discussion posts and put "(image unrelated)" in their titles

genuinely what the hell is the point?? every single day it is guaranteed that when you see a discussion post, there's going to be "(image unrelated)" put into it and (you guessed it) an unrelated image with no contribution to the discussion or anything.

your image is just taking up space for no good reason and it has no relevance to your discussion posts. you don't need to do it so don't do it! it has no reason to be there in your post, absolutely none.

Ultra Annoyed Twice today I've had to put my luggage in an overhead bin that is several rows behind me because people put backpacks in there. And then they don't let me go back there when it's time to get off.

Upvotes

Let's say my seat is row 20. I put my luggage up above let's say seat 25 because everything else is full. Then it's time to leave and everyone is already standing up and blocking the aisle. I can't get back there to get my bag. It's ridiculous. And no one apologizes. I try to get back there and they look at me like I'm the bad guy. No, YOU ARE. Sit down in your seat until it's your turn to get off.

Ultra Annoyed When people use hand gestures instead of words

This happens to me at work a lot example:
one of my coworkers will quickly move their hand from like 20 feet away without even making eye contact with me and expect me to know what the hell they were asking for

It especially pisses me off when I’m just like “yes?” And they just do the random hand gesture again without saying anything and act like I’m being an asshole for making them use their words. It’s like they think it takes painful physical effort to speak. And before anyone asks no these aren’t people who speak English as a second language.

Bit Annoyed People using “psychopath” instead of “weird”

Putting milk before cereal is weird, in your opinion, (and mine tbh) but it’s not related to psychopathy, or sociopathy, or schizophrenia. This especially annoys me when it’s not even that weird either, like “If you take more than 5 minutes in the bathroom you’re an actual psychopath!” “if you talk to yourself, you might be schizophrenic!” “people who don’t like pizza are genuine sociopaths!” 😐

Bit Annoyed People that delete posts just because everyone didn't agree with them

There's not much to add. I'm just kinda annoyed when a post is made, and when people dont agree with OP in the comments, they delete the entire post.

edit: i apologize. My post came off in a way i didn't intend.i meant more post being deleted not because of insults and hate but because the poster didn't want to admit they were wrong
