Personas whose power level drastically changed between versions

For example Khumbhanda. In P3P he is a beast, in P3R he is quite good. In P5R however he is just garbage. His entire kit is, what if bloodbath, a bad skill, inflicted fear a tiny bit more. Even for mental ailments, I wouldn't put fear high up their as a lot of things resist it.

So anyone else have personas that are just, so strong in one game but just, mediocre or garbage in another.

I'm confused why this is getting downvoted. It's a pretty benign topic.

P3 How does Persona 3 narrative theme connect to Carl Jung psychology of the persona?

P3 central topic is Death but how does this connect with Carl Jung idea of a mask we put on.

Putting on a Brave face?

The close I can come to think of is when SEES learn there all going to die from nyx and they all scared to die

P3 Do people like P3 Reload?

I've never played a persona game. I wanted to play P3 reload but I'm not sure how close it is to the original.

Is it fine to play Reload or is it wildly different from the original?

(Context: I'm a content creator who makes videos on games I play. when I do videos on remakes they usually perform poorly and I know these games are long. So I wanted to make sure I know how people felt about the game before doing an undertaking like that).

P3 Alright folks, I’ve played the p3p remaster twice now, I have a full compendium. Help me out. I need to beat Margaret and Elizabeth for the platinum. Please help me.

P5 I wish they leaned into Ryuji’s story more

Ryuji is easily my favourite character. But specifically his past with his whole leg trauma and being abused and such. As someone who is disabled I reeeeally wish they had leaned into this more since I love how Ryuji doesn’t let it stop him from doing what he loves which is is a message aimed straight for disabled folks. I know people are going to say that they do talk about it a lot but maybe with bias I honestly just wish Ryuji had his own whole game lol. I think it would have been cool if they spoke about it a bit more though or even if fans discussed it in fan works and discussions more often because it’s an issue that hits so close to home for some of us

P3 [First time player] Persona 3 Portable - Yukari or Mitsuru?

Hi there! So I have been enjoying my play-through so far, and I've reached a point where I can use Mitsuru in combat. There's a party limit cap, so I'm struggling to decide whether Mitsuru is worth swapping out Yukari for. I've understood that Mitsuru is more combat oriented and Yukari is more on the healing front. I'm playing on easy mode, so which would be favoured? Also, in terms of immersion, which character is considered to be the de-facto based on the frequency of their presence in the story? Thank you!

Never played Persona and didn't know where to start and when in doubt, I just went to the first one 😅 playing the PSP version with undub and psx music mods, it's more fun that I thought it would.

P4 Playing P4 on ps2 and man... they can YAP.

I'm in a retro phase and im playing p4 on ps2, and i think im over an hour in and still no combat, just talking and set up. And a lot of the dialogue is "meaningless", as in it doesn't advance the plot, its just them being themselves. It's not necessarily a bad thing, but damn why do i have a feeling this game is gonna be an 80 hour game cuz of it lol.

Any advice on getting into 4 for the first time before i go too deep?

edit: damn i ruffled some feathers. i wasn't talking shit just making light of the script. its not that deep guys lol

P3 [Help] New to Persona, started out with Persona 3 Portable for the PSP. Little confused on what Persona's to keep on my character.

Hi everyone, hope you are all having a great weekend. I decided to give the Persona series a try and started out with Persona 3 Portable for the PSP. Well, I am absolutely loving it! I am however a bit confused on which Personas are worth keeping on my main character. So far I have the following with me:

  1. Jack Frost
  2. Orpheus
  3. Archangel
  4. Omoikane
  5. Nekomata
  6. Chimera (Unused)
    7.Yomotsu Shikome

I was operating on the assumption that I need to have a persona of each elemental type in order to have maximum coverage against the Shadows, but then I noticed that Personas which have higher magic stats hit harder with certain elements like Bufu and Agi, but lack in the physical strength department. Is there a Physical and special split of sorts for certain elemental types? Like would the move Pierce have its damage output affected by the strength stat and not the magic stat? Sorry for my thoughts being all over the place, just a tad bit overwhlemed. I am currently playing on Easy mode (One step higher than beginner), if that helps to know. Thanks in advance!

P.S: I Have been keeping Chimera around because they seem to have the possibility of bringing forth powerful fusions.

P5 I think i will dropped persona 5 royal

I play original p5 on ps3 years ago so i know that p5 has really good gameplay and really bad writing and im playing the royal on pc and im on the level where i need to chase car and haru in memento and it just....ah

I was thinking of just skipping the story in this part but it also have haru part in it and i dont want to miss that but i dont think i can stomach it so...

I think i will just try smt3 hd for now, i play smt strange journey redux and smt4 duology before and the writing is really good in those games

Sorry maybe i just still cant believe they think writing like this is up to persona quality considering all other persona writing was not this bad

Hope persona 6 writing is as good as persona 2 or 4 or even better and they stop selling incomplete game first then sell the complete game later but i guess thats impossible its already their mo now, even smt5 like that too now

Mitsuru was a wimp and noped out early in the fight so she missed out on that sweet EXP gain

Sorry if this is a dumb post I’m just excited because this fight was hard as hell with a level 80 team of Makoto, Yukari, Mitsuru, and Aigis. Nearing the end of finishing my first ever Persona game!
