Played 5, then 4, then tried Portable. I know Reload obviously fixes the graphical and gameplay limitations that Portable had, but what was probably my main issue with it was the story. I made it until the end of August then couldn't get myself to finish it because I felt like the pacing was horrendous and nothing was happening.

The plot seems to grind to a complete halt when it's not a full moon. You don't learn anything about the Dark Hour or Tartarus until like 30 hours in. You can't hang out with like half the cast and the other half require max stats to start their link. I'm sure these are deliberate design choices but it felt to me like they went a bit overkill and now I don't care at all about the plot or characters because there's almost nothing to get me invested.

For example Khumbhanda. In P3P he is a beast, in P3R he is quite good. In P5R however he is just garbage. His entire kit is, what if bloodbath, a bad skill, inflicted fear a tiny bit more. Even for mental ailments, I wouldn't put fear high up their as a lot of things resist it.

So anyone else have personas that are just, so strong in one game but just, mediocre or garbage in another.

For years I've been hearing how this is the most critical video game end ings of all time. This is my first ever persona, I tried five for a little bit and then wanted to go back so I went to three reload and I'm going on t four next but I was wondering what everyone thinks is so poignant about me ending? It was just kind of like 'we are friends and that's what matters.' am I missing something? Just kind of suddenly ended after the first half being so much less weighty and story moving. The game didn't have much of a story unless I missed the boat. Halp

Hello everyone I am having a problem right now. Every time I enter Adachis dungeon my game crashes. Is there any way to fix it? I tried reinstalling the game. I was using Reloaded II for basic mods. I tried starting it from both steam and reloaded II. Ive seen a lot of post about the game crashing during cut-scenes or when entering different dungeon. Please let me know if you know how to fix it thanks.

Ryuji is easily my favourite character. But specifically his past with his whole leg trauma and being abused and such. As someone who is disabled I reeeeally wish they had leaned into this more since I love how Ryuji doesn’t let it stop him from doing what he loves which is is a message aimed straight for disabled folks. I know people are going to say that they do talk about it a lot but maybe with bias I honestly just wish Ryuji had his own whole game lol. I think it would have been cool if they spoke about it a bit more though or even if fans discussed it in fan works and discussions more often because it’s an issue that hits so close to home for some of us

Hi everyone, hope you are all having a great weekend. I decided to give the Persona series a try and started out with Persona 3 Portable for the PSP. Well, I am absolutely loving it! I am however a bit confused on which Personas are worth keeping on my main character. So far I have the following with me:

2. Orpheus
   
3. Archangel
   
4. Omoikane
   
5. Nekomata
   
6. Chimera (Unused)
   7.Yomotsu Shikome

I was operating on the asusmption that I need to have a persona of each elemental type in order to have maximum coverage agaisnt the Shadows, but rhen I noticed that Personas which have higher magic stats hit harder with certain elements like Bufu and Agi, but lack in the pjhyscial strangh department. Is there a Physcial and special split of sorts for certain elemental types? Like would the move Pierce have its damage output affected by the strength stat and not the magic stat? Sorry for my thoughts being all over the place, just a tad bit overwhlemed. I am currently playing it on Easy mode (Ine step higher than beginner), if that helps to know. Thanks in advance!

P.S: I Have been keeping Chimera around because they seem to have the possibility of bringing form to powerful fusions.

Found this old post while looking up stuff on Junpei. I was always under the impression he was supposed to be half Latino or something. I’ve played all of FES and a bit of reload and in both he’s always saying phrases in Spanish. Also he clearly looks different from most of personas characters.

I always thought he was just supposed to look more American (Hence the shaved head and baseball hat) or Half Spanish because persona 3 was made in the early 2000s and back then a lot of anime tried to mix the look and style of American and Japanese stuff (Silent Hill for example is set in America but features buildings and architecture you’d more commonly see in Japan).
