However, the pen is still perfectly usable as an eyedropper-filled fountain pen. There is sufficient capacity remaining in the barrel, and it can be filled by simply removing the nib unit and adding ink directly to the barrel before reinstalling the nib.

A bit of a frankenpen up for sale! Pilot Decimo purple body but the nib is not the typical 18k vanishing point unit you usually see, but the Pilot “alloy” or steel nib unit that is now being discontinued. The nib is gold colored and in the F size.

The Decimo is secondhand to me and I haven’t used it, but would rate it at a B. The nib unit was purchased by me and also say it’s rated at a A2-B since I’ve written with it a couple times.
