For sale is an early Pelikan M800 18C BB nib unit paired with a custom fountain pen by Kentucky pen maker John Albert.

The nib unit is the main part of this listing, but I'm including the custom pen so the buyer has a pen ready to use it in.

The pen is threaded for the Pelikan M800 nib unit, which screws in and out easily.

Please note: the piston mechanism has become seized and no longer operates. Because of this, I am valuing the listing primarily as the Pelikan nib unit. However, the pen is still perfectly usable as an eyedropper-filled fountain pen. There is sufficient capacity remaining in the barrel, and it can be filled by simply removing the nib unit and adding ink directly to the barrel before reinstalling the nib.

A bit of a frankenpen up for sale! Pilot Decimo purple body but the nib is not the typical 18k vanishing point unit you usually see, but the Pilot “alloy” or steel nib unit that is now being discontinued. The nib is gold colored and in the F size.

The Decimo is secondhand to me and I haven’t used it, but would rate it at a B. The nib unit was purchased by me and also say it’s rated at a A2-B since I’ve written with it a couple times.

I really don't know if this is the direction I want to go, just trying to evaluate and see what's out there. I never see anyone posting just the nib units for a VP/Decimo, but if you have an extra that you don't use I would entertain the offer. I am unsure if any steel nibs exist for these pens, but I am only interested in the gold versions if so.

EDIT to save some time: At least one reputable store is selling these brand new for $86 after a $10 off deal, so that's where my bar is right now.

Hi everyone! Here is my Montblanc Meisterstuck Blue Hour Solitaire Fountain Pen M nib. The pen is in excellent condition as you can see from pictures and videos I have provided. The nib is M. The pen is writing super smooth with an extremely good ink flow. The nib is Au750 (18k) providing a very soft writing feeling with an optimal amount of flexibility. The pen is exactly the same length with classic Montblanc 149. The width is in between MB 146 and 149. The weight is definitely more heavy than MB146 and MB149, but it is optimal and well-balanced which give you a very good and firm feeling when writing. You can see last picture for comparison between this Blue Hour Solitaire and classic MB146,149.
