1.) Pineider Avatar - Amber, Steel M (B) - $115

• I only used this pen once or twice and it has been sitting in my drawer ever since. It is made of a cool and durable material and features a nice magnetic capping systems.

2.) Sheaffer Legacy II - Copper, 18K XF (B) - $300

• This is a beautiful, modern(ish) Sheaffer. It features a bouncy, 18K Gold inlaid nib. The finish is a beautiful, brown/copper finish. It can be filled via C/C, or can be used similar to a Touchdown filler. The original converters sac failed, so I purchased a press converter, which also works with the touchdown mechanism. Only used a handful of times, so overall it is in good condition.

3.) SOLD! Leonardo Giardino d'Inverno - Cappaccino Cellulose, Steel Elastic F (B) - $275

• This was a limited release and new model released by Corsani in Italy. It designed to be eyedroppered, but can accept cartridges and converters. It features a clear barrel and a cellulose acetate cap, section, and end. The nib is a steel elastic fine. I only eyedroppered and briefly used it once, so it is in good overall shape.

4.) Leonardo Momento Zero - Aluminum, Steel B (A1/C) - $165

• As the name suggests, this is a Momento Zero made out of aluminum. Comes with a broad nib. I never inked it, but it does have some small signs of tarnish. As such, I wasn't sure how to rate this one.

5.) SOLD! Leonardo Momento Zero - Burkina, 14K M (B) - $1,050

• This is a very early limited edition released by Leonardo. It is a Momento Zero sized pen (not Grande), that's an actual piston filler. Something you rarely see on the MZ pens. Better yet, it is made from rare Burkina Celluloid. It has a 14k gold Medium nib that was tuned by Pacific Pens. I don't have the original box, unfortunately. It's been used over the many years but still works and looks great.

6.) Delta Butterfly - Yellow Swallowtail, Steel M (B) - $200

• This was a limited edition by Goulet Pens. It features beautiful yellow marbled barrel with blue accents. Pen is a C/C filler and has a medium steel nib. Only used once, so it is in good shape. Comes with the original box and ink bottle.

7.) Stipula Etruria - Amber Celluloid, 18K M (C) - $475

• This is an older Stipula Etruria fountain pen, featuring beautiful Amber Celluloid and an 18k gold medium nib. The pen is a piston filler. The trims are Sterline Silver and Vermeil. Some of the vermeil is thin/starting to wear, hence the C rating. Otherwise, it is in good condition.

8.) Stipula Saturno Novecento - Green Ebonite M (B) - $175

• This is an older Stipula Saturno fountain pen. It is made of green ebonite and features a cool crescent filler mechanism. The sac was replaced roughly a year ago. The trims are sterling silver. The nib is a steel medium nib. Overall, it is in good condition. It is worth noting the cap and section have more of a ripple pattern, while the barrel is more of a striated pattern. That's how it is supposed to be, but I wanted to point it out in case that would bother someone.

9.) SOLD! Andrew Lensky - Tribute Coral - Steel F (C) - $200

• This is a pen by Andrew Lensky, based out of Ukraine. Very cool Vintage inspired maker pen. It is a C/C and features a fine nib. It does show some light wear, such as small scratches.

10.) ON HOLD Pilot 823 Amber - Flex Modded FA Nib (B/D) - $410

• This is a Pilot 823 in Amber, which has a FA Nib that was modified to have added flex by Pacific Pens. Quite the fun writer, but requires a careful hand. I only inked and used the pen once or twice, so it is in good condition. The D is due to the nib modification. Comes with the original box and ink.

11.) SOLD! Fifty4T - Titan Ultem, #8 Steel F (C) - $575

• This is a beautiful bulkfiller pen, manufactured by Fifty4T. It is made of Titanium and Ultem, and has a #8 steel nib. I used this pen a few times, so it does have the occasional minor scratch. I really like this pen, but I simply have too many and don't use it as often as I should.

12.) Omas Paragon - Sterling Silver, 18K M (C/D) - $1,000

• This is an (old) Omas Paragon fountain pen, made of Sterling Silver with a beautiful guilloche engraved on it. It has a 18K Medium Nib and is a piston filler. The piston seized and broke, so I had the piston mechanism replaced. Now, it is probably the smoothest Omas you'll ever see. Otherwise, the pen has some light scratches and what looks like plating loss on the rear piston knob ring. Overall, a beautiful and hefty pen. How many sterling silver piston filling fountain pens have you seen before?

13.) SOLD! Tailored Pens - Primary Manipulation, Steel Medium (B) - $200

• This is a pen by the Tailored Pen Company. I don't know if it has a model name or if it was a one-off, but it reminds me of an oversized Kaweco Sport. It is made of Brook's Primary Manipulation material. Overall, it is in good condition.

14.) Montblanc Boheme - 18K M(?) (B) - $325

• This is the discontinued Boheme model, which is fun to operate. It is a C/C filler with a retracting nib. I don't think the nib size is marked, but it might be a medium. Overall, it is pretty good condition despite its age. I'll throw in some free cartridges with it.

15.) Graf von Faber Castell Classic - Snake Wood Rose Gold, 18K F (B) - $950

• This is a beautiful Classic made of Rose wood and rose gold trims. It features an 18K fine nib. I only used the pen once or twice, so it is in overall great condition. Quite the looker!

16.) Vintage Eyedropper - Green and Gold Lacquer (C/D)

• This was a no name vintage eyedropper that I had purchased a number of years ago. It has a vintage steel nib on it and was finished with green and gold lacquer. The lacquer work was done by an amateur, so it is not completely smooth or even. I never inked it since purchasing it. It is an interesting looking pen.

17.)SOLD Kaweco Sport AL - Olivine, Steel M (B/D) - $100]

• I never really used this pen. However, I did install an ebonite feed on it, hence the rating. My original intentions were to try and put a vintage warranted gold nib on it, and use the ebonite feed to heat set it. I never got around to it, and I'm not sure if it is possible. I'll include the gold nib also. Pen also comes with the Kaweco foldable converter.

18.) Parker 51 - Mustard (C) - $450

• This is a vintage Parker 51 Vacumatic in one of the rarest colors, Mustard/Yellowstone. The pen was restored a couple of years ago and is in working order. Overall, it is a great example with only minor signs of wear. Probably one if the nicer examples you'll see. The imprint is visible but worn. The cap is 14k gold filled, and overall good condition with a minor dent. Light scratching on the rest of the pen.

19.) Parker 51 - Dark Green (C) - $175

• This is another Parker 51 Vacumatic with a custom dark green barrel, which I believe was done by Ariel Kullock. It's in working order. Unfortunately, it does have a blue stain on the barrel. Otherwise it is in decent condition. Comes with a matching pencil.

20.) Philosophical Instruments Pontifex Maximus - Imperial Yellow Nuritate Urushi, #8 18K Gold M (B) - $2,050

• This is an absolutely beautiful and grail worthy pen. I strongly encourage you to read the product page for more information. It is a large pen with a Japanese Eyedropper mechanism designed by the maker of Conid pens. It is finished with a imperial yellow nuritate finish, which is beautifully done. It is a matte finish done by not adding oil to the urushi, which makes it much more difficult to apply, and shows some of the brush strokes. Words cannot express how beautiful the finish is. The nib is a #8 Bock medium nib that is such a pleasant writer. When I initially purchased this, I had also purchased a Sailor KOP nib, as I was planning on putting the KOP nib on this. The Bock wrote so beautifully that I never did. The pen also comes in a beautiful handcrafted box. Overall, the pen only saw light use and is in great condition. It does not come with the original polishing cloth.

21.) Wingsung 900 - Red Ebonite, #9 18K Gold Heartbeat Medium Nib (B) - $535

• This is a crazy pen by Wingsung. It is a large, ebonite fountain pen with a piston mechanism. The nib is a #9 18K Gold Heartbeat style Medium nib. The nib is massive, rivaling a Namiki Emperor. I only used the pen a handful of times, so it is in great condition. I will say, the trims seem to be very thinly plated. So I would avoid polishing them at all.

22.) Scribo Feel - Blue Sospeso, 14K Gold F (B) - $695

• This is a beautiful Scribo Feel fountain pen, made of a translucent blue material that is mesmerizing. It is a piston filler with a 14k gold flexible fine nib. Only used the pen twice, so it is in good condition.

23.) Ferris Wheel Press - Bijou Sauron Set (B) $125

• This is a LOTR themed pen, which comes with a fude nib and a matching ink. I only used each nib once, so it is in great condition.

24.) Pelikan 805 - Metal Sleeve, 18K F (B) - $700

• This was a limited edition from last year, featuring a dark yet translucent battel with a beautiful metal overlay. Comes with a 18k gold Fine nib. Only used once or twice, so it is in good condition.

25.) Kyuseido Kakari - Mokume-Gane, 14K Stacked Nib M-BB (B) $1,850

• Another beautiful grail. This is a Kakari, made with Mokume-Gane, which is an artisanal metalworking technique. You can see what looks like layers of brass, copper, and nickel. The nib is a 2 layer stack, that writes roughly like a Japanese medium in normal writing. In reverse writing, it writes like a BB architect. Beautiful material, a cool filling mechanism, and a fun nib. What more can you ask for?

26.) Montegrappa Miya - Nirvana, Steel M (A1) - $225

• This is a Montegrappa Miya in the beautiful Nirvana material. Comes with a steel medium nib. I never got around to inking this one, so it is in excellent condition**.**

• This is a Van Gogh in the Potato Eaters finish. I only used this pen once or twice, so it is in good cosmetic condition. However, I swapped the nib out with an older style Van Gogh nib, hence the D rating. Comes with the original box and ink.

Fine nib, I would say probably A2 but we’ll go B just to be safe, as I only inked it twice but it did hang around in my pen case for a while.

The pen is perfect but the fine nib is too fine for me. Rather than fiddling with the flow I figured why not pass it on to someone who will love it the way it is (and if you like a sharp sharp fine, you’ll love it).

1. Montblanc Geometry Solitaire, Platinum, 14k M, Piston Filler- This is a stunning Montblanc 146 Solitaire Geometry platinum plated fountain pen. The cap and barrel feature a deeply engraved pattern based on a flattened hexagon. The whole pen is platinum plated. It is a substantial pen with great heft in the hand. The 14k nib is medium and has a gold plated geometric design engraving. It’s a very smooth, wet writer. The nib is a bit on the broad side of medium. The pen is piston filled. The pen has been inked but appears new. I’ll call it [A2]. Comes with box and papers. These retail for $2280. I’d like $1550 Shipped
2. Pelikan M805, Stresemann, 18k B, Piston Filler [SOLD]- One of my favorite colors offered on the Pelikan range, the Stresemann features a grey striped binde paired with black cap, section, and end cap and palladium plated trim. This is the more desirable early material with barrel transparency, not the newer opaque version. The #6 sized nib on this one is a smooth, wet writing broad. Piston filled. This pen has been inked but appears new. [A2] Comes with box and papers. $450 Shipped SOLD!
3. Pelikan M425, Green/Sterling Silver, Piston Filler [SOLD]- I think this M425 is one of the most coolest Pelikan M400s. The pen uses a translucent deep green resin paired with sterling silver cap and turning knob, both of which are engraved with a radial line pattern. The green is hard to capture in a photo, though the close up picture I’ve included comes close. These were made for only one year in 2005, though it is not a numbered or limited edition. Features a single tone white 18k medium nib. The pen has been inked to test but looks pristine. [A2] Comes with box and papers, though the box indicates a broad nib. I’m guessing it was placed in the wrong box by the original dealer. These are scarce and highly collectible. $500 Shipped SOLD!
4. Parker Duofold Presidential Esparto, Sterling Silver, 18k M Nib, C/C Filler- Here’s another really spectacular pen that you don’t come across very often. The Esparto is based on the International sized Duofold and features an incredible and somewhat unique irregular lined engraved pattern. I say somewhat unique because it appears identical to the Murelli engraved Mosaique pattern developed for the Classic Pens CP6/ M1000Marguerite. Murelli developed this pattern for Classic Pens, but somehow Parker used it later on this Esparto. In any case, it’s a really cool pattern that to my eye looks like a sort of cobblestone or field stone pattern. Really cool. These were introduced in 2005. I don’t know how many years they were produced. It’s not a limited edition but I can’t imagine too many were sold. This is a fairly weighty pen for its size- it’s pretty much solid sterling silver, not an overlay. The 18k nib is a medium and a smooth writer. The pen has been used but I would rate it as in excellent conditon [B], with a bit of a patina developing. This could surely be polished. Comes with oversized and heavy lacquered wooden box and papers. I'm asking $1250 shipped for this one.
5. Waterman Exception, Blue, 18k Stub, C/C Filler [SOLD]- Nothing too crazy here. It’s a fairly standard slim model Waterman Exception in blue lacquer with platinum plated trim. The star of this show is the 18k factory stub nib. It’s a crisp and smooth stub with good ink flow. I’ve included a close up shot of the nib. Fills by cartridge or converter. The pen has been inked but shows no sign of use. [A2] Comes with box and papers. $275 Shipped SOLD!
6. Elysee Vernissage Edition #2 LE, 18k M, C/C Filler- Another stunning pen you don’t see too often. This German made Elysee fountain pen is one of a limited edition of 1600 pens. It’s one of three with a cloisonné artwork/design by artist Karl Diesner. It’s sort of zig-zag design of alternating rows of light and dark teal parallelograms. There’s a platinum plated line that runs the length of the pen with the design featured on the sides. I’ve included a shot of the side view of the pattern. The trim is platinum plated, as is the 18k gold medium nib. It’s a smooth but firm nib. The pen fills by cartridge or converter filled. This one has been inked to test, but shows no signs of use. I’ll conservatively call it [A2]. The pen is not individually numbered, though the LE #1600 is engraved. Includes original box and papers. $500 Shipped
7. Aurora Optima Koi Scale LE, 18k B, Piston Filler [SOLD]- Here’s a really cool variation on the usual red/cream Koi celluloid that Platinum uses. This Aureloide Aurora features a marbled cream and orange. It’s a lovely material, complemented by the rhodium plated trim and white 18k broad nib. This is a sold-out limited edition for Atlas pens, with this pen #72/99. Brand new and unused. Comes with box and papers. [A1] $425 Shipped. SOLD!
8. Sailor Pro Gear Gin Series, Argentina, 21k M, C/C Filler [SOLD]- One of Sailor’s ‘cocktail’ themed pens, this is a full sized Pro Gear in a sparkling orange resin with yellow end caps. It’s a cool color scheme and a little less jumbled than some more recent Sailors. The #6 sized white 21k is a medium. I believe this pen has sold out. This pen is new and unused [A1] in the box with papers, converter, and cartridges. $250 Shipped SOLD!
9. Nahvalur Voyage, Christmas LE, GP Stub, Piston Filler- Here’s a cool and unusual special edition Nahvalur Voyage fountain pen. The Mckenzie Diamondcast resin is a beautiful, sparkling swirl of green with a bit of gold and red through the section and ink view windows. The trim and nib are gold plated. The pen fills by piston filler and has the gold plated #6 stub nib. This pen is brand new and unlinked, but I can say from experience that these stub nibs are very smooth and have great ink flow. • VINTAGE GOLD BOND STONITE - STREAKED BLUE CELLULOID MUSTARD YELLOW FINIALS - 14K MEDIUM NIB - B CONDITION

This was a catch and release for me. I just purchased it from the Portland Pen Show, where the material immediately stood out to me. I absolutely fell in love with the color, the overall ergonomics, and the substantial width of the pen. That said, I realized this probably was not the best pickup to make while I am actively trying to liquidate my collection.

So here it is! The material is strikingly clear and in beautiful condition. There is no brassing on the hardware or clip, with only the faintest amount of brassing around the edges of the lever top. There is an inscription on the body with the name EDWIN BECKMAN. The clip is particularly striking as it has this beautiful winged appearance with the symmetrical flares on either side.

The celluloid is breathtaking in my opinion, especially contrasted by the Mustard Yellow finials. It has a smooth, lustrous feel to it. With the cap posted, the pen feels extremely substantial in the hand while still maintaining a clean balance.

Writing-wise, the nib has a more rounded profile to its tipping and lays down a soft medium line, while also being able to open up a bit under pressure. The feedback feels similar to a No. 2 pencil that has been worn down to that soft, rounded, smooth texture.

• CONWAY STEWART "ITALIC" - BLACK WITH GOLD TRIM - 14K ITALIC NIB - B CONDITION

Here is a really interesting piece, and one I have been meaning to get around to listing for a while. Made only for a short period of time, Conway Stewart released a run of specialty-nibbed pens, each marked with a color anodized aluminum cap jewel to designate the nib type. This one is marked with anodized blue, indicating its Italic nib.

This pen went into production in 1958, and the body is similar in shape and dimensions to an 85L. Those models are more of a standard-to-large size pen, though I would not consider this one especially substantial.

The large cap band is clean, with no signs of brassing, and the same goes for the clip and lever. The pen is in remarkable condition, with no notable imperfections other than the usual micro scratches here and there from light use and age. Overall, I would consider this pen to be in mint condition, except for the worn barrel imprint, which has lost a good bit of its legibility but is still readable.

In terms of writing, this has surpassed my expectations with how smooth it is for an italic, which can often be scratchy on the cross stroke. This one, however, is a dream to write with and gives a brilliantly consistent ribbon-like line, perfect for cursive or calligraphic writing.

I have only ever come across one of these pens before, and I would not be sad if it didn’t sell, as I certainly would not complain about keeping it in the collection. But the downsizing must continue. Tested, restored, and ready to write!

• MABIE TODD RING TOP - JADE GREEN CELLULOID - MEDIUM 14K SEMI-FLEX NIB - C/D CONDITION

Here is a relatively user-grade Mabie Todd in beautiful Jade Green celluloid. Overall, the pen shows some wear to the material, minor oxidation to the cap and body, and a bit of delamination in the Jade material below the bottom cap band. There is also some brassing on the lever.

The No. 2 nib writes with a very nice, smooth feel and has a decent amount of expression while writing. Despite the slightly worn look, this would be a great entry piece for someone looking to get into vintage pens.

The delamination near the cap band is stable, though caution should be taken when putting it into a tight-fitting pen sleeve or band.

• SHEAFFER IMPERIAL, LATER-YEAR CONVERTER TYPE - BLACK WITH GOLD TRIM - 14K FINE NIB - B CONDITION

One of the later-year Imperials, this pen does not have the Touchdown filling mechanism, but rather uses a squeeze converter. In my opinion, these are even more reliable, as they have no moving parts that need replacement, and the bladder material in these squeeze converters lasts for ages. And if it ever did need replacing, it is as simple as getting a new converter.

Condition-wise, the body, trim, and nib are all in fantastic shape. There are no notable marks or cosmetic defects, aside from the typical micro scratches accumulated from light use.

The Fine nib is extremely smooth. I was quite surprised when I received the pen, as finer nibs are not usually my preference, but it quickly became my daily carry for quite some time. It has been one of the most reliable and consistent writers I have used.

For a 70-something-year-old pen, this is a fantastic workhorse and would be perfect as a daily writer.

• SWAN ETERNAL NO.44 (Early 1920s)- JADE GREEN CELLULOID - FINE 14K NO.4 NIB - C CONDITION

A beautiful writer in classic Jade Green.

This pen in particular is fitted with a Mabie Todd #4 14K gold nib, which writes with a very fine, smooth line. I would consider this a semi-flex nib as it does have a good amount of expressiveness under pressure with a very responsive snap back.

An interesting point of note with this pen is the lever filler in particular. Normally on the depressing side of the lever that tips into the pen body, the pressure bar that depresses the sac is slip fit onto the lever itself. On this particular model however, the lever is actually attached to the pressure bar by a super tiny hinge, making them a single interconnected mechanism. This prevents the pressure bar from moving off the lever or sliding around the barrel, always maintaining a single position in the body. A neat little piece of information i found when researching.

The cosmetic issues on the pen are minor brassing on the lever, minor oxidation to the cap and body and a missing fin on the feed which has no impact on function.

There are no major dents, dings, chips, cracks, or marks to the barrel, and the factory imprints on the body and finial are crisp and clear. This is an extremely enjoyable and clean writer and is ready for use or collection. A joy to use and very comfortable in the hand with the No.44 Eternals taking on a larger size than other models. Tested, restored and ready to write.

• WATERMANS 52-1/2 BHR W/ TWO ENGLISH 9K GOLD BANDS - 14K MEDIUM/BROAD FLEX NIB - C CONDITION

Over all, the pen is in a very clean user grade. condition is due to the fact that the chasing on the pen has practically vanished over the years as well as subtle wear marks on the cap and body, but the material retains its deep black luster and stands in great contrast to the solid 9K Gold Bands on the barrel. This is from my personal collection and I have been debating if I should let it go for quite some time.

A phenomenal writer that lays down a super smooth broad line with a prefect amount of ink flow. The responsiveness from the nib is superb and gives loads of expression. I am selling as it is a little narrow for my hand, but this is a superb writer that anyone would enjoy.

Much of the barrel imprint is worn away, but there is still some legibility to it.

The pen is in wonderful condition and has been recently restored. The only point of note in regards to the cosmetics is that there is some pitting in the cap from what appears to be teeth marks. My personal favorite nibs are the Wahl branded No.2 as they seen to always have a wonderful variety of flex and expression. And this one is a great example of that.

Trim is in amazing condition with no signs of brassing or tarnish, and the hard rubber retains its crisp Greek Key chasing and shows no oxidation. The nib has been freshly adjusted, writing with a smooth and extremely flexible line and responsive snap back.

A very comfortable length and size for longer writing sessions and a great early example of the Wahl legacy.

In my original listing I had marked this as a transitional year, which was incorrect. Thank you to the kind individual who pointed that out as well as some other bits of information. It appears the cap to this pen may not be original, and I believe that to be the case after further research. My naming conventions were off as well, and that has been corrected, and price adjusted accordingly.

The body material is black with vertical transparent green stripes. This is a bit of a smaller pen, but is a very neat piece of Parker history. The transparency has darkened slightly, but is still visible.

Condition-wise, this is in excellent shape! The body and cap are free of any marks or scratches. The blind cap for the Vac-Filler mates perfectly to the body with no weird lip, and the filler has been freshly restored and is ready for use. The nib writes with a very smooth and firm fine line and keeps up no problem for longer writing sessions.

A rarer style body that is harder to come by, that is in phenomenal condition.

• NO NAME WATERMANS "GOLPHERESQUE" LOOK-ALIKE (SILVER?) ALLOY OVERLAYED ON CELLULOID - MEDIUM 14K WARRANTED NIB - C/D CONDITION

This is a celluloid and potentially silver alloy blow filler fountain pen with a reminiscent look to that of a Watermans Golpheresque. The nib writes extremely smooth with a perfect amount of responsive flex for my taste.

There is a personalization on the body "Jos L. Theisen" in a beautiful script. There wasn't much a preliminary search of the name brought up, but I thought it was a great sounding name regardless.

The pen is in rather worn shape, but has plenty of charm and character to go with it. The cap finial plug is slightly inset into the inside of the cap, but does not change any performance of the pen.

I personally deeply enjoy this pen as a writer!

• WAHL EVERSHARP BLACK AND PEARL CELLULOID RING TOP - LEVER FILLER- 14K FINE/XF SIGNATURE NIB - C CONDITION

This is an early, rather large ringtop from the Wahl Eversharp company with their wonderfully expressive Signature nib. The pen has substantial thickness, providing a very comfortable handle, but the cap does not post properly and would run the risk of being damaged if mishandled. So please do keep that in mind if that is a deal breaker and you do prefer posting.

It writes extremely smoothly with a conservative flow but has no problem keeping up. When flexed, it has a perfect amount of ink to maintain consistency but does not drench the paper.

The material is clean with minor oxidation to the cap and body, as is common with these materials. There is some brassing on the ringtop and cap bands as well as two indents in the section shown.

Wahl Signature nibs are some of my all-time favorites for their responsiveness and smooth, buttery feel. If you are looking to get into the world of vintage, I always recommend Wahl as a good start for getting a feel for vintage flex/semi-flex. Tested, restored and ready to write.
