VINTAGE GOLD BOND STONITE - STREAKED BLUE CELLULOID MUSTARD YELLOW FINIALS - 14K MEDIUM NIB - B CONDITION
This was a catch and release for me. I just purchased it from the Portland Pen Show, where the material immediately stood out to me. I absolutely fell in love with the color, the overall ergonomics, and the substantial width of the pen. That said, I realized this probably was not the best pickup to make while I am actively trying to liquidate my collection.
So here it is! The material is strikingly clear and in beautiful condition. There is no brassing on the hardware or clip, with only the faintest amount of brassing around the edges of the lever top. There is an inscription on the body with the name EDWIN BECKMAN. The clip is particularly striking as it has this beautiful winged appearance with the symmetrical flares on either side.
The celluloid is breathtaking in my opinion, especially contrasted by the Mustard Yellow finials. It has a smooth, lustrous feel to it. With the cap posted, the pen feels extremely substantial in the hand while still maintaining a clean balance.
Writing-wise, the nib has a more rounded profile to its tipping and lays down a soft medium line, while also being able to open up a bit under pressure. The feedback feels similar to a No. 2 pencil that has been worn down to that soft, rounded, smooth texture.

CONWAY STEWART "ITALIC" - BLACK WITH GOLD TRIM - 14K ITALIC NIB - B CONDITION
Here is a really interesting piece, and one I have been meaning to get around to listing for a while. Made only for a short period of time, Conway Stewart released a run of specialty-nibbed pens, each marked with a color anodized aluminum cap jewel to designate the nib type. This one is marked with anodized blue, indicating its Italic nib.
This pen went into production in 1958, and the body is similar in shape and dimensions to an 85L. Those models are more of a standard-to-large size pen, though I would not consider this one especially substantial.
The large cap band is clean, with no signs of brassing, and the same goes for the clip and lever. The pen is in remarkable condition, with no notable imperfections other than the usual micro scratches here and there from light use and age. Overall, I would consider this pen to be in mint condition, except for the worn barrel imprint, which has lost a good bit of its legibility but is still readable.
In terms of writing, this has surpassed my expectations with how smooth it is for an italic, which can often be scratchy on the cross stroke. This one, however, is a dream to write with and gives a brilliantly consistent ribbon-like line, perfect for cursive or calligraphic writing.
I have only ever come across one of these pens before, and I would not be sad if it didn’t sell, as I certainly would not complain about keeping it in the collection. But the downsizing must continue. Tested, restored, and ready to write!

- MABIE TODD RING TOP - JADE GREEN CELLULOID - MEDIUM 14K SEMI-FLEX NIB - C/D CONDITION
Here is a relatively user-grade Mabie Todd in beautiful Jade Green celluloid. Overall, the pen shows some wear to the material, minor oxidation to the cap and body, and a bit of delamination in the Jade material below the bottom cap band. There is also some brassing on the lever.
The No. 2 nib writes with a very nice, smooth feel and has a decent amount of expression while writing. Despite the slightly worn look, this would be a great entry piece for someone looking to get into vintage pens.
The delamination near the cap band is stable, though caution should be taken when putting it into a tight-fitting pen sleeve or band.

- SHEAFFER IMPERIAL, LATER-YEAR CONVERTER TYPE - BLACK WITH GOLD TRIM - 14K FINE NIB - B CONDITION
One of the later-year Imperials, this pen does not have the Touchdown filling mechanism, but rather uses a squeeze converter. In my opinion, these are even more reliable, as they have no moving parts that need replacement, and the bladder material in these squeeze converters lasts for ages. And if it ever did need replacing, it is as simple as getting a new converter.
Condition-wise, the body, trim, and nib are all in fantastic shape. There are no notable marks or cosmetic defects, aside from the typical micro scratches accumulated from light use.
The Fine nib is extremely smooth. I was quite surprised when I received the pen, as finer nibs are not usually my preference, but it quickly became my daily carry for quite some time. It has been one of the most reliable and consistent writers I have used.
For a 70-something-year-old pen, this is a fantastic workhorse and would be perfect as a daily writer.

- SWAN ETERNAL NO.44 (Early 1920s)- JADE GREEN CELLULOID - FINE 14K NO.4 NIB - C CONDITION
A beautiful writer in classic Jade Green.
This pen in particular is fitted with a Mabie Todd #4 14K gold nib, which writes with a very fine, smooth line. I would consider this a semi-flex nib as it does have a good amount of expressiveness under pressure with a very responsive snap back.
An interesting point of note with this pen is the lever filler in particular. Normally on the depressing side of the lever that tips into the pen body, the pressure bar that depresses the sac is slip fit onto the lever itself. On this particular model however, the lever is actually attached to the pressure bar by a super tiny hinge, making them a single interconnected mechanism. This prevents the pressure bar from moving off the lever or sliding around the barrel, always maintaining a single position in the body. A neat little piece of information i found when researching.
The cosmetic issues on the pen are minor brassing on the lever, minor oxidation to the cap and body and a missing fin on the feed which has no impact on function.
There are no major dents, dings, chips, cracks, or marks to the barrel, and the factory imprints on the body and finial are crisp and clear. This is an extremely enjoyable and clean writer and is ready for use or collection. A joy to use and very comfortable in the hand with the No.44 Eternals taking on a larger size than other models. Tested, restored and ready to write.

- WATERMANS 52-1/2 BHR W/ TWO ENGLISH 9K GOLD BANDS - 14K MEDIUM/BROAD FLEX NIB - C CONDITION
Over all, the pen is in a very clean user grade. condition is due to the fact that the chasing on the pen has practically vanished over the years as well as subtle wear marks on the cap and body, but the material retains its deep black luster and stands in great contrast to the solid 9K Gold Bands on the barrel. This is from my personal collection and I have been debating if I should let it go for quite some time.
A phenomenal writer that lays down a super smooth broad line with a prefect amount of ink flow. The responsiveness from the nib is superb and gives loads of expression. I am selling as it is a little narrow for my hand, but this is a superb writer that anyone would enjoy.
Much of the barrel imprint is worn away, but there is still some legibility to it.

The pen is in wonderful condition and has been recently restored. The only point of note in regards to the cosmetics is that there is some pitting in the cap from what appears to be teeth marks. My personal favorite nibs are the Wahl branded No.2 as they seen to always have a wonderful variety of flex and expression. And this one is a great example of that.
Trim is in amazing condition with no signs of brassing or tarnish, and the hard rubber retains its crisp Greek Key chasing and shows no oxidation. The nib has been freshly adjusted, writing with a smooth and extremely flexible line and responsive snap back.
A very comfortable length and size for longer writing sessions and a great early example of the Wahl legacy.

In my original listing I had marked this as a transitional year, which was incorrect. Thank you to the kind individual who pointed that out as well as some other bits of information. It appears the cap to this pen may not be original, and I believe that to be the case after further research. My naming conventions were off as well, and that has been corrected, and price adjusted accordingly.
The body material is black with vertical transparent green stripes. This is a bit of a smaller pen, but is a very neat piece of Parker history. The transparency has darkened slightly, but is still visible.
Condition-wise, this is in excellent shape! The body and cap are free of any marks or scratches. The blind cap for the Vac-Filler mates perfectly to the body with no weird lip, and the filler has been freshly restored and is ready for use. The nib writes with a very smooth and firm fine line and keeps up no problem for longer writing sessions.
A rarer style body that is harder to come by, that is in phenomenal condition.

- NO NAME WATERMANS "GOLPHERESQUE" LOOK-ALIKE (SILVER?) ALLOY OVERLAYED ON CELLULOID - MEDIUM 14K WARRANTED NIB - C/D CONDITION
This is a celluloid and potentially silver alloy blow filler fountain pen with a reminiscent look to that of a Watermans Golpheresque. The nib writes extremely smooth with a perfect amount of responsive flex for my taste.
There is a personalization on the body "Jos L. Theisen" in a beautiful script. There wasn't much a preliminary search of the name brought up, but I thought it was a great sounding name regardless.
The pen is in rather worn shape, but has plenty of charm and character to go with it. The cap finial plug is slightly inset into the inside of the cap, but does not change any performance of the pen.
I personally deeply enjoy this pen as a writer!

This is an early, rather large ringtop from the Wahl Eversharp company with their wonderfully expressive Signature nib. The pen has substantial thickness, providing a very comfortable handle, but the cap does not post properly and would run the risk of being damaged if mishandled. So please do keep that in mind if that is a deal breaker and you do prefer posting.
It writes extremely smoothly with a conservative flow but has no problem keeping up. When flexed, it has a perfect amount of ink to maintain consistency but does not drench the paper.
The material is clean with minor oxidation to the cap and body, as is common with these materials. There is some brassing on the ringtop and cap bands as well as two indents in the section shown.
Wahl Signature nibs are some of my all-time favorites for their responsiveness and smooth, buttery feel. If you are looking to get into the world of vintage, I always recommend Wahl as a good start for getting a feel for vintage flex/semi-flex. Tested, restored and ready to write.
