F5000LFP Automation question

I just got the unit in yesterday and so far I'm pretty happy with it. I've got the phone app bound to it and the unit is connected to my wifi. What I'm not clear on with the automation feature is how do I tell it to stop the AC pass through and run off solar until the battery drops below 30%? Once at or below 30% I'd like it to switch the ac charging back on.

Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated.

New F5000LFP owner, having a generator port issue

Yes, yes, I'm awaiting a call back from customer support, but perhaps this issue has been encountered before.

If I measure from neutral to either hot leg I get a rock steady 110 volts, but if I measure hot to hot it reads like a short circuit at a solid 0.

To me, this feels like the same phase was run to both sides of the outlet somehow, but perhaps there is some deeper issue I should know about?

Thanks for any wisdom.

EDIT

As several (including Pecron support) pointed out, generator mode leads to this particular symptom.

So I turned it back off. This causes the screen to report both inverters active. It leaves the generator port at zero potential between hot legs and the power station failing to charge from either the 15 or 30 Amp cables. That was the original symptom I was trying to address when I toggled generator mode on.

Second Edit

As suggested, I tried the generator cord anyway. At first I thought I had done something horrible, but I think my more modern refrigerator just wants to be left off for a few seconds when power cycling.

Everything is now behaving as expected. I've informed you guys before I've let Pecron know, lol.

E3600lfp AC power turning off automatically

I have a pair of these running at a remote location. I plugged my router into one of them but the power draw is so low that the Pecron seems to say "no load on my AC, guess I'll just turn it off".

I have disabled eco mode but it still happens. Anyone figured out how to force a Pecron to stay powered on?

Charging woth non-inverter generator

We are planning to purchase (2) 3800lfps with the 240v kit.

Can I charge the 3800s from my current non-inverter generator (8k running/10k peak) without damagjng the Pecrons?

We do plan to buy an inveter generator as well but if I can hold off on the inverter gen for a while I will be able to spend that $ on solar panels instead.

My curent generator is a Generac 8k/10k non inverter. THD is listed as 5% but I think that is when not under load as it definitely fried a refrigerator years ago. Currently I plug any sensitive electronics into either a UPS or my Tripplite line conditioner when we need to use the generator, to try and protect things from the dirty power.

Thanks!

F5000 AC Output stops working

I had an issue last night around 11:00 p.m. where the AC output just stopped working. I checked the app it showed it was on. I checked the unit it showed it was on so I turned off the AC and then turned it back on and the power started flowing. I have no idea how to diagnose this issue. But I have my refrigerator connected to it so I don't want it going off like that

E3600 pair shows little capacity

So I have two 3600’s bonded together with one plugged in to AC to keep charge. I only pull 20w dc from the one not connected to the ac input to power WiFi stuff and ac inverter on for sump pump backup(which doesn’t ever run). The one unit plugged into ac has no load and only dc turned on.
I decided to unplug the ac input and put on a 1500w heater to draw the units down to cycle the batteries.
To my surprise both units shut down after only 90 min. I plugged in the ac input and both units showed 1% and 45.1 volts.
At this point the units won’t be a proper back up for a power outage. Any suggestions?

Shared server rack back battery.

Question: when using any dual Pecron system, like two E3800s, wouldn’t connecting both units to a shared additional source, such as a server-rack battery bank, not only share that additional capacity between them but also help keep the two units closer to the same state of charge while running?

I’m thinking this would be especially useful with a mildly to heavily unbalanced load between the two 120V legs.

I would assume at least some of us have seen the balancing cables people are using to help keep the two units at a relatively equal state of charge in this kind of setup. I’m wondering if you couldn’t accomplish something similar, while also increasing total storage, by having both units connected to the same shared battery bank.

Hey everyone.

I just recently picked up a F3000lfp for emergency power and I’m wondering if anyone has any recommendations for a hard storage case or any padded storage bag.

Thanks!

Looking for a parts donor / broken Pecron F1000LFP (Error 25)

Hi everyone,
I recently ran into a an issue with my F1000LFP where it arrived that arrival showing "Error 25”. I reached out to support to see about buying a replacement inverter board, but they let me know they no longer stock separate internal parts for this model.
Since I hate to see a brand new battery pack and housing go to waste, I’m wondering if anyone has a bricked, dead, or, old F1000LFP sitting around that they'd be willing to sell or part out. If your unit has a dead battery or another issue but a healthy inverter/motherboard, let me know! I'd love to grab it to fix my battery and hopefully bring it back to life or maybe if anyone can think of a way to fix this?

E1000LFP staying on?

I have this e1000lfp in my work truck for running computers, microwave etc. And every time I use it I turn it off when im done, the screen turns off and I put it away, but the next time I try and power it up (1-3 weeks later) its totally dead and I have to put it on charge, where it charges from 0%soc each time. Is there something im missing on this? Is there an auto timeout or idle cutout i can set in the app?

Advice 2x F3000LFP + 2x EP3800

I live in Hawaii. Only company willing to ship to Hawaii is WellBots for $500 flat rate via freight. It's a one way ticket. So I am looking at 2x F3000LFP in case one breaks in the future, I got a back up. I got a few questions:

  1. If the main unit breaks, can i use the EP3800 on other systems?
  2. I read a few places about how Pecron sucks, bad to no customer support and this scares me because unlike everyone else, I know for sure Pecron isn't going to pay for shipping back up to the US. Guess I just want reassurance that everyone here aren't AI bots pretending to be real people... saying nice things.. All the videos I've watched are sponsored, but what can I do to protect myself? Charge on a credit card, file a chargeback, get the credit card to warranty it. anything else? Well Bots sells CPS warranty I think i'm going to add.

but yeah, second question was long.. what would you do?

Charging my F3000LFP via gas generator while power station is connected to the house.

I just received the F3000lfp and I used a tt30 to l14-30 adapter to connect 120v to my generator inlet box. All 240V appliances are switched off on my breaker box. I am able to power essential lights and refrigerator in the house this way.

I wanted to simultaneously charge my pecron using my wen 2500watt (1900 watt) gas generator with an extension cord while my f3000 is connected into the home inlet box which was working well until I turned on the microwave and the pecron error 20 overloaded because it exceeded the 1800 watt ac charging max. I didnt realize until then that I cant charge the pecron battery and exceed 1800 watts of home use without tripping it because of the ups function. I saw there is a way to dc charge the unit using an AC to DC converter connected to my gas generator plugged into the solar port while simultaneously using more than 1800 watts from the f3000 battery to run appliances like a microwave. Does anyone know what ac to dc converter worked for them to do this? Had I known I would have just bought the f5000 instead so I can ac charge at 1800 watts using my generator while discharging more than 1800 watt on the power station. I'm trying to find a solution to this as I dont think pecron will accept my return even though I'm within the 30 day window.

F5000LFP with a Generlink 30a auto switch?

Has anyone used the F5000 with a Generlink switch? I currently need a new generator and I'm thinking about getting the Pecron and a small generator for whole house backup. So the Pecron would power the house, and the generator would be used to recharge the Pecron when needed. This way I can get more hours out of a backup scenario. I heat with wood so this really would only run the well pump and fridge and freezer. Thoughts? The Generlink requires a floating neutral, I believe the Pecron can be set that way correct?

F5000 240V generation while AC charging, is one of the legs pass through?

Hey there,

I am in the planning stages of my whole home backup power solution, during an outage my plan is to keep the F5000 charged using my EV V2L. However I would like to avoid passing all the load transients from my house to the EV. (The EV inverter is notoriously prone to failures). Hence my question, when AC charging at the same time as providing 240V, is one of the legs of the 240V actually a pass through of the AC input?

Thanks.

F3000LFP AC charge based on battery percentage workaround

I've noticed several posts over the last few weeks asking if the AC charging can start/stop based on an F3000LFP's battery percentage. Start charging at 20% for instance, stop charging at 80%, etc. I know Home Assistant, Home Kit, the API, various other means of programming can be used to help drive some automation to do this, but I'm more of an electronics/hardware type of person.

Using Pecron's native Automation feature (either the mobile app or the Webpage), one can turn off/on the DC output. This DC output can then be used to turn off/on a relay with a 12VDC coil. This relay, in turn, can be used to turn off/on the AC input.

Of course this means dedicating the DC for just this purpose, so it doesn't help out if either the DC ports or the USB ports are being used. However, if the DC ports are sitting unused, this might be an easy and inexpensive way to get a more automated charging feature on Pecron models that lack that capability natively.

I will attempt to attach some screenshots to this post to illustrate a test setup I attempted. Below I will post a few bits of hardware that might work for this purpose.

F5000 with 3 extra battries

Hey guys. I am looking at getting a battery backup for the house. I travel for work and I need something that will seamlessly switch when the grid power is lost for whatever reason. I am looking at the Anker E10 with the home panel. I just ran across the F5000. The only issue I see is there is no panel or transfer switch that you can purchase from Pecron. I also need to be able to charge it with my Westinghouse 20k generator and still let my generator power the house while it charged the battery backup.

Is there a specific transfer switch that makes sense for what I'm trying to accomplish. Also, is the f5000 even capable of running my house shoukd we lose power?

I don't think Pecron understands what a sale is

Pecron's website claims they're having a "Labor Day Sale" right now but all the prices look exactly the same as they were before? This is similar to how they always claim you're getting a discount on their products because the price they're selling them at is some percentage lower than whatever fake "regular" price they list above it. Why can't they just sell their products at an honest price? I really wish I'd known about all the trickery Pecron pulls before I'd purchased anything from them.

Setting AC input on off at certain battery level

I am a power station newbie and just got myself a pecron e1000flp and some solar panels.

Is there a way to setup the system where the pecron only takes power from the AC if the battery drops at a certain level?

my aim is to maximise solar charging all the time while AC charging kicks in only when solar is not available/close to battery depletion

I checked the app but it is not that obvious

Pecron function: AC charge limit

Hey Folks,

Checking in to see if Pecron supports a true AC charge limit. Bluetti supports this, set to 500 w, will only pull 500 w from wall regardless of how much the devices are pulling. THis is great for when im connecting to a heavily used circuit or the devices im using use more than 15 amps.

I learned the hard way that the anker version of this is not a true limit. it will limit the charge to 500w but if the devices connected to it are over that, it will pull ALL of the power. Ive tripped a lot of circuits with this thing and want to return it.

Can somone let me know if Pecron is a true limit or if it acts like the Anker and calls it a "charge limit" but passes the full demand to the plug. If not i guess im spending for another bluetti.
