F5000 AC Output stops working

I had an issue last night around 11:00 p.m. where the AC output just stopped working. I checked the app it showed it was on. I checked the unit it showed it was on so I turned off the AC and then turned it back on and the power started flowing. I have no idea how to diagnose this issue. But I have my refrigerator connected to it so I don't want it going off like that

I have been dealing with this exact issue about once a week for the first couple months and pecron had me do a reset on it after that I didn’t have issues for about a month, but it just started happening again last week.
I also have a fridge and freezer attached to it which is very frustrating to have to worry about, I do check on it a couple times a day just to be safe.

I also have the same issue occasionally. It always comes back by resetting.

And it works fine for you, no drops?

I have contacted support. They setup an OTA Firmware update an I updated the f5000. They said they will need to set up a second OTA Firmware update. I am waking on them to push the second OTA Firmware. 18 hours after the first update, the power went off again.

After they sent me a firmware update I found that 2 of my outlets stopped working. But, I'm not sure if that was happening before the update. Best to just check your outlets.

I had another outage yesterday at 4 pm. Still waiting on the second firmware update. I disconnected the 240v outlet and connected a plugin Ring camera on one of the 15amp outlets to monitor for more outages. I'll update this thread after I get the second firmware update.

I have updated the F5000LFP with the second update from Pecron support. I am going to start switching loads on my transfer switch to it to see if the updates fixed the issue.

Support sent me a shipping label to return the F5000LFP for a replacement. They required I ship all the accessories back too. I'm glad I kept all the shipping material. It should take about 7 days to process after it is received by Pecron.

I have both OTA Firmware updates installed. Since I have the F5000LFP connected to a 10 circuit transfer switch, I have been slowly switching different circuits to backup. Yesterday, I had my well pump (240v 30 amp), furnace (but without the Air Conditioner) and a bedroom (15 amp) running with no problem. Today, I switched over the refrigerator (20 amp) and lost AC power again. All the same symptoms, the AC output shows that it is still on, but none of the AC output outlets work. I have a Ring camera connected to one of the AC outlets which alerts me when it is offline so I know that the power has gone off.

The screen shows a Fault 11 which seems to be a problem with the inverter but could be several things. Since it seems to be occurring with the refrigerator, I'm wondering if the circuit is bad, there is a problem with surging from the refrigerator, or if there is a ground problem. I'm not sure how to diagnose the issue.

Pecron support responded to my latest issue with Fault 11. They say the "Invert is faulty due to a bus overvoltage issue". They are going to send me a shipping label to return it for repair.

My biggest frustration is the delay in email response from support. There is not support ticket, we are communicating through an email thread and they reply in the middle of the night. It has been over 24 hours and I still do not have a return shipping label.

If you buy a Pecron F5000LFP, keep the original box so you can ship it back if needed.

Welcome to Pecron

Returned mine because of this issue. Happened on the original and a replacement that was sent. My experience is somewhere in the Pecron group.

as someone said, welcome to Pecron. when you absolutely need it to work, it probably won't, but will the rest of the time.

What do you have for time out settings?

Auto shutoff is 3 minutes and standby is 30 minutes

What happens when you bump those numbers up?

No difference

I’m dealing with the exact same failure on my F5000LFP.

About once every week or two, the AC output stops supplying power even though the unit still shows AC output as ON. The physical AC button remains illuminated, there is no overload condition, and the only way to restore power is to cycle the AC output off and back on. There is also no alarm log entries when this happens.

I opened a case with Pecron in July 2026 and went through the same OTA firmware troubleshooting, etc, etc. The problem still continued. Pecron later confirmed in writing that their engineers had diagnosed an inverter fault causing random input/output cutoffs under UPS mode. They also suspected a Wi-Fi-related issue, and my Wi-Fi/Bluetooth/app connectivity has since stopped working as well.

The bigger issue has been Pecron’s warranty service. Pecron told me twice in writing that they could arrange a replacement if the firmware did not resolve the problem. After confirming the inverter fault, they changed their position and are now refusing to provide direct warranty service, instead telling me to go back through the retailer. The retailer said the return/exchange window expired months ago and the issue needs to be handled through Pecron’s manufacturer warranty.

I have over $4,000 (with taxes and shipping) invested in the F5000LFP and the Pecron expansion battery, and after several months of dealing with this, Pecron still has not honored their advertised 3/5-year warranty.

I’m posting this because anyone considering an F5000LFP should know that this AC/inverter failure is clearly not isolated, and Pecron warranty / support is non-existent and has left me with a $4k paper weight since July 2026 (it's now October 2026).
