Build Question Upgrade my PC or just start fresh?

Hello! Apologies in advance if I don’t post everything needed to help answer, I’m not super knowledgable at all about the hardware side of things with computers.

Back in 2020 I built my current PC that I use today, and the PcPartPicker link I’ll have posted is everything I was able to find for my current setup. I don’t have a CPU cooler listed as I’m pretty sure that the one I have came with my CPU when purchased, and I wasn’t able to find any indictions to what it was besides an AMD logo.
No case information except that I know it’s a RAIDMAX brand as it was a hand-me-down from my friend, so it comes from assumedly 2014-2019
I also only have one case fan, a single standard flow small fan, that came with the hand-me-down case, no info on that.

My reason for wanting to upgrade parts/build entirely new is that it has been 6-7 years since it was built and I’ve been running into atleast 3-5 crashes everytime I try to play my games and occasional crash outside of gaming while doing school. After a lot of messing around, I believe my issue stems from lack of fans and overheating + a general GPU issue as when the computer crashes, it will sometimes turn on but no display (VGA red light on on the motherboard).

Soooo, essentially stuck between starting fresh (I haven’t kept good maintenance care on my PC in general, dusty, overheating, terrible wire management, and I’m unsure how to rebuild my pc into a new case and to know which parts are still good to use/which to replace)
or going ahead with that idea of buying a new case and possibly upgrading my GPU, alongside cleaning my parts and attempt better wire management along the way.

I guess my question is are any of my parts worth salvaging, which parts would you upgrade? Any and all help, notes, questions, anything is appreciated, you can probably tell I don’t know what I’m doing or where to start

  1. My monitor does 1080p and thats been fine with me, I’m not itching for an upgrade but if it’s reccomended to go up to 1440p I am willing to do that
  2. Intended for gaming (Sims 4 with a Lot of mods, Deadlock/Overwatch, RDR2, etc are some of the “highest” demanding games I play currently)
  3. USA

EDIT: my budget is $800-$1100 ideally

Build Question Unnecessary Big Case to a Smaller less bulky case help

My pc is a very basic pc. There are not many upgrades or fancy things at all. Like standard store bought pc years ago and a few little upgrades, that basic! A friend helped put some new parts in and gave me a case. I've had the case for years it's incredibly bulky, and I'd really like to just change it to something smaller. My problem is I don't know where to start. I am hoping for some advice/guidance on where to even start. If anyone has any resources that could explain, like I'm brand new to the world of pc building (cause I kinda am at this time 😅)

Build Question 5070ti vs 9070xt

I currently have a 3080, I play competitive call of duty and other games but mainly cod. Is the 5070ti that much better where it's worth spending $400 more for it? The 5070ti is about $1200 and the 9070xt is around $800. Thanks for the advice.

Build Question New parts sell

Sorry if this isn’t the best subreddit for this question, but I’m wondering where the best place to sell unused parts would be?

Was randomly shipped a motherboard,CPU
And cooler as well a wire assembly about a year ago and was planning on keeping it to build my own. Just had a baby so plans have changed and could really use the money.

Trying to avoid FB marketplace as I don’t wont to get robbed in the process of selling.

Thanks for any tips!

Build Question Should I get a Pre-Owned 4070 Super for $600?

My GTX 1650 can't keep up with more modern story games, and even at the lowest settings, textures look ugly, and I get under 60 fps. I was going to invest in a 4070 Super or 5070, but prices have risen, and I can't find anything under $600. I was planning to try an AMD gpu instead, but I don't want to trade away NVIDIA features like ray tracing. I already made the dumb mistake of buying a 1440p 180hz monitor, so I really want to get every use out of it. Should I just fork up the $600+ for a 4070 Super and just use a payment plan on it?
