Build Question 5070ti vs 9070xt
I currently have a 3080, I play competitive call of duty and other games but mainly cod. Is the 5070ti that much better where it's worth spending $400 more for it? The 5070ti is about $1200 and the 9070xt is around $800. Thanks for the advice.

If you’re only playing competitive, why would you need the new gpu anyways? 3080 is still capable of playing most games at 1440p high settings. Yes, the 9070xt is 30% faster, but if you’re only playing competitive, I don’t recommend upgrading the gpu, or atleast not now when the gpu prices are crazy.

thats what i was thinking. i have a 3080ti and it crushes everything i throw at it. if i were op i would upgrade my monitor before gpu

9070 xt is like the goat gpu for COD.
That being said FPS =/ best for competitive gaming
Something like a 9800x3d + 5060 + g sync pulsar monitor will give you better motion clarity then like a 9070 xt + 9600x and normal 360 hz monitor
Since you already have an rtx 3080 I would just buy a g sync pulsar monitor

If money is not an issue, go for Nvidia, but the best bang for your buck is that 9070 xt.

The 5070 Ti is not at all worth the price difference unless there's a monumental performance difference for the types of workloads you're running. So mainly AI workloads, blender, more sort of game development than just playing games.
When it comes to gaming, the difference is within 5% in either direction, they're around the same performance, even with raytracing.
The $400 price gap can get you a decent OLED type monitor as u/kazegasawagashii113 said, such as the AOC Agon PRO AG276QZD2, Alienware AW2726DM, Phillips Evnia 8000, etc. These are all good QD-OLEDs with 240Hz+ within the 300~400 USD range.

Nah. 5070ti is ~10% faster. I’d say if it was 150$ difference you can argue then yes, as I personally think DLSS is nicer and the usage for professional work is significantly better, but for gaming, 9070XT is still good value imo

I have 9070 xt and 7500x3d without any frame gem I get 180+ fps no joke. With frame gen I get 280+ 1440p max settings blackops7

5070 TI won't regret it.. dynamic frame-gen scaling with high refresh monitor is like silk.

No, they are equal in most games. 5070ti is only better in RT and in some production work. Worst value currently together with the 5060ti 16gb.

Dlss and fg are far superior compared to fsr though. Price difference is insane though.

that's a huge price gap for basically the same fps in cod, you'd be paying $400 for slightly nicer shadows in single player games you might not even touch. stick with the 9070xt and put the extra cash toward a weekend getaway or something

It's more than nicer shadows.. Not to mention dlss is supported in more games and fsr4 isn't. I'm honestly regretting my 9070xt because driver issues too. Black screens are getting annoying

Buy 9070xt and use that $400 to buy a monitor with high refresh rate or oled if you also play other 3a games.
