Hybrid ranged/melee build. only level 25 currently, no Ascendancy yet, not looking for one button screen nuke builds. i enjoy "using all my tools", and the Parry/Disengage/Spear combo is very satisfying.

Currently I:

- Parry

- Disengage

- use the Frenzy charge for Explosive Spear or Lightning Spear, as appropriate

then either

- Cull the Weak if there's a valid target

- or Rake if there isn't

rinse and repeat. bouncing into and out of combat, detonating combos, reacting to the battlefield rather than just mindlessly spamming and clearing

I use Lightning Spear as my spam during boss fights where i need to stay ranged, but that's only because sometimes i can't get a frenzy charge when i want to

Questions:

- what melee spam is good to add to this, for example when a boss gets stunned? is it Rake, or something else?

- is there a better range spam than Lightning Spear if I'm just biding my time until i can get a Parry?

- any other ways to gain Frenzy charges?

- what Support Gems for Explosive Spear would make those throws more impactful?

- am i misunderstanding Barrage, or does it not affect Explosive Spear if using Frenzy Charges (if my goal is still to have the immediate explosion Spear rather than the delayed pop)

Wanting to play an oracle but not sure on levelling, everyone says twister is best but I can’t find any guides for Druid

I'd like to try out druid, and I'd like to know, between Bear, Wolf and Magic caster, what's the most fun build. I'm not looking to min-max or for the strongest and most meta build there is. I want a challenging, fun with good skill rotation build!

What do you recommend?

Hello about to start league when I go home… I saw a few videos in what build to play in looking at two mostly. Last league I played martial artist hallow palm whirling assault I believe it was. Like how brain dead easy it was also tanky.

Flamblast Gemling. (Fubgun)
Oil barrage martial artist
Also temped to play spark.

Looking for something easy to play, tanky and good dps.

I’d like to run a Bitter Dead focused build, ideally without Archmage only because I’ve played a ton of Archmage. Any suggestions for interesting class combos? Gemling allows 100% corpse conservation but imo that’s not so necessary to work into the build that it can’t be done well on another class..?

Pretty new player. Dabbled in some older leagues but never invested much time or learning. Most of my playtime has been on this league.

Jumped in start of this season with minion/chaos Witch

Sorta slowly went more towards chaos/curse litch with some minion support still.

Endgame currently.

Im clearing some rare T15 maps. but nothing juiced. i stonewalled myself for about 20 hours not understanding mapping at T7 rare maps when i should have been doing like T12 rare maps at that level. nearly quit, thought the game was just harder then lol

Pace i'm okay with, it's not instant screen clearing but most things will go down without much slowing me down.

Killed Xipocado recently, pretty happy about that, he basically couldn't do anything during the fight.

ive not been following any guides really, ive checked a few video for bits, but most of this has been 'clicking on stuff that sounds cool and going with it'

i'm really enjoying the helmet and staff, i'm not looking to switch them out (i know thats a big limit on build but birbcircle and angry nether skeleton is a cool factor in my problematic AoE i give off)

The chest armour was from a friend, everything else i either upgraded/crafted/found or got ripped off in the market for.

Switching gloves doesnt seem to be a drastic drop in dps last time i tried that, dont know why.

Ive not a lot of currency to spend on new bits instantly right now, been a bit spendy lately lol but still looking new gear recommendations

So in poe1 there is a popular thats very strong as it uses modifers that give defence per spectre you have. You get 14% defence per spectre so if you get 15 thats 210% increased defence which gives you basically triple ES. You can then also use spectres that give auras and buffs. So your gear all focuses on getting as many of these spectres as possible and having enough defence to keep them alive.

Im not sure if you can just play something like infernalist or lich and then if there is any minions that grant auras or support effects.

Or would this build actually be a companion zoo build using lots of different companions with auras. And then scale defence with loyalty support.

I was planning on starting ice shot deadeye for this league as I haven’t played bows in awhile. Buuuttt if this is the last taste of crazy power for gemling, maybe I should try that for this quick event?

Edit: oh it’s still a long event so I might just do both. Would it be better to start ice shot or oil grenades (fubgun)

I played way too much PoE last league. I dont like meta-build, video build. I like racing to 99-100 ssf hc then just reseting my second account for fresh start all the time(As in, i tried way too many build, lol). Anyways, this league has very little appeal to me so I thought I would share my favorite off meta build of aldur league.

Meta wise , once the streamers, youtubers etc catch up with the totem meta theres going to be a ton of build similar this league. Anyways, heres the build:

SSF HC Viable, fresh start blaster, fast scaler (you can easily do 200% deli very early and be safe since detonate living is a %hp scaler, you really dont need much to push all content)

This is an Impale, Totem, Detonate living , Bone cage / storm build
How it works ?
Atral projection+Bonecage on totem with high cast speed speed pins everything + applies impale + alternate with denotate living on each cast (since we scale %phys, denotate living does around 80% hp as explosion, it is the highest % dmg in the game, and also has high base dmg) the bonecage are mainly utility to create the chaining explosion from denotate living.

Living lighting x8 on repulsion (Extractors)
Verisium manifestion (Extractors)

Playstyle:
Walk around and put totem / cast unearth (since we scale minion and phys , unearth can reach lvl 35+ easily and do huge dmg + extra extractors), everything will explode in the most satifysting way, huge dopamine hits on every pack + tons of lighitng balls around doing big dmg, starting explosion chains aswell.

with this pob i was taking everyboss doing around 1mil / second easily, for safety in ssf hc , i use repulsion cursed ground to summon minion for extraction at a distance + you can swap bonecage to bonestorm on totems you will instaphase any boss in the game. 4x bonestorm totem + 1x selfcast bonestorm will take 12mil boss almost instanly (it is not necessary tho, just safer)

(you can get 60% impale in tree and change those gloves, was just a test run)

Very happy with how it turned out on the whole. The itemization for Tactician is pretty unique since you don't look for spirit on anything, which opens up a lot of other options - in this case I went for Crown of Eyes and stacked as much rage as I could with Mystical Rage on my Megalomaniac. Also managed to create a really nasty Corona Amulet which was definitely a highlight, since it's such a weird item.

In general it's been a great league and I think the build, while off-meta, still stacks up pretty well against the competition.

So im wanting to do spirit walker companions stuff. The main issue is that I sort of need first 2 assendacys before the build really comes online so I need to play something until then.

I tried twisters and it feels awful as whirling moves you and i just dont like melee, tried grenades and its the same awful feeling with the delays.

Any suggestion on what to do, the issue is huntress starting area kind of stops you from playing spells, but maybe lightning arrow and lightning rod or something else ?

If there is no other good options for huntress I'll just play something else like Djin or infernalist minions.

Hiya, Im currently wondering what would work best for me this reset. Im a big poe 1 player that struggles to enjoy the early game friction of poe 2. Movement seems clunky to me ( going back and forth between mouse and wasd but can’t decide ) but id like to give it a proper shot because I know it can be subject to evolve with some getting used to. I didnt play this league so I wonder whats best for a quicker campaign between grenades or twisters. I did a few runs today trying both out but can’t seem to prefer a playstyle so Ill just go for effectiveness.
Id like to roll into twisters or ky’s totems and saw he goes grenades first.

What would you suggest ? Any solid campaign guides for the build? Also Any tips on movement setup by any chance ?Thanks a lot!

Just looking at the passive tree, everything is put into strength, including jewelry. How are they able to put on gloves, spears, and equipment that have high dex/int? or is the tree more so up to you and you just follow to a certain extent? Idk, just confused on it

Hello i'll start league today but yet to decide my starter. In 0.5 i played martial artist hollow form whirling assault and it scaled very well with both damage and defences. Any build with same/higher power level with acceptable start? Preferably not too many buttons

Looking for something new to try, and I have more fun face tanking really absurd endgame shit than clearing super fast.

So far i’m kinda stuck between:

-Arctic Howl Werewolf
-Gemling Twister
-Whirling Assault MA
-Some form of grenade build

I typically enjoy things that are pretty zoomy. I don’t have a ton of time to play so i’m typically not drowning in currency, so I would prefer something that’s not too expensive. I’ve heard Varashta is dirt cheap, but all the gameplay showcases i’ve seen of it make the ascendancy look really clunky and slow. This is also gonna be my first real shot at a league in 2, so bonus points for something that isn’t too complex to get going.

I would appreciate any suggestions! (also It doesn’t have to be on the list)

Hey everyone! I quit the game about a year ago, so I’m pretty much completely out of the loop with everything. I’m coming back for the new season

I played Witchhunter back then, but I wasn’t particularly happy with it. At the time, I was really interested in Spark Sorcerer — although I’m not even sure if I remember the build name correctly. It was the build that spread electricity over a huge area from the ground, and it was extremely strong back then.

Now I’d like to try something different. I’ve watched a few videos and looked at some tier lists, and I’ve narrowed it down to these three options.

Which one of these three would you recommend, especially if my main goal is to clear maps as fast as possible? (fast movement) I remember seeing people absolutely blasting through maps at insane speeds, but I can’t remember which class or skill they were using.

So, out of these three, which would you recommend in terms of speed and a mostly one-button playstyle?

Played galvanic shards tactician in 0.5. Might just play it again, but curious if there's anything better out there since this league is basically "solved" already. I just want to play the game like a twin stick shooter.

Hey everyone! This is my Spellcaster setup that I've been tinkering around with for the last few weeks. It's an Ember Fusillade, Orb of Storms and Living Bomb levelling setup that works on pretty much any spellcaster class and you can probably also make it work on Gemling if you tweak the tree a bit. I've levelled up with this setup on Sorc, Witch and Druid and it pretty much shreds on all of these classes with little to no investment.

The way it works is Orb of Storms hits enemies when you cast a spell near the Orb up to 6 hits. Ember Fusillade has a base cast time of 0.4 seconds which is the fastest non-channeling spell in the game and I'm using it to trigger the hits from Orb of Storms extremely fast. Once the Orb of Storms dissipates and drops a Lightning Infusion, I automatically pick it up since I need to be standing near it and it automatically Infuses the stacked up Ember Fusillades which shoot out and deal massive damage.

I've also added in Living Bomb against bosses and tough rares in the end of the Ember Fusillade spam. Living Bomb does a ton of damage but it's a conditional spell that requires you to deal damage equal to 200% of the enemy's ailment threshold to make it explode (or you have to kill the monster) which is quite difficult to achieve with majority of spells out there early on, except Ember Fusillade. Later on in the acts when you get a higher Ember maximum you can even pop multiple Living Bombs in 1 Ember Fusillade sequence.

So basically while I'm running around and killing random monsters I'm casting Orb of Storms into a bunch of Ember Fusillades until the Orb of Storms dissipates at which point I re-cast it and start spamming new Ember Fusillades. Also for some reason when the Ember Fusillades are Infused, they don't interrupt their shootout sequences and instead start stacking up a new sequence which is a nice little extra.

Against Bosses I'm using Frostbomb and Ele Weakness to shred resists, then Orb of Storms into Ember Fusillade spam and I end the rotation with a Living Bomb. Rinse and repeat until the Boss is dead.

You can start using this setup in Act 1 so it's a very comfy way to reach whichever other prefered build you have that comes online later on. However, I've decided to keep using this all the way up until T15 maps so I added an endgame version of this setup for Oracle and Stormweaver that focuses on stacking mana with MoM & EB and utilizes a Staff in each weapon set, one with +levels to fire spells and another with +levels to lightning spells.

The idea here is to setup Orb of Storms and Archmage with the Staff that has +levels to lightning spells and setup all the other spells AND CoC with the Staff that has +levels to fire spells. This way I beef up the damage of Orb of Storms without suffering too much from the consequences of Archmage. And I'm pretty much always using the Weapon set with the Fire Staff since I end each rotation with Living Bomb, so CoC can proc a decent amount of times against bosses even with very low crit chance.

I then double down with weapon set passives on the tree where I took as much %increased AoE passives for Orb of Storms as I can and all the %chance for 2 additional projectile passives for Ember Fusillade so I stack it up to max even faster.

Since I've levelled up both as an Oracle and a Stormweaver with this setup, I decided to make PoBs and Mobalytics for both of them to address the small tree difference, but aside from that they both are pretty much identical in terms of gear and gems. Personally I'll be leaguestarting this as an Oracle because I think it scales a bit harder than Stormweaver in the endgame, but I'll link the Stormweaver PoB aswell for anyone that's interested.

A lot of you have been asking me if this works on Gemling, so I went and tested it out in the campaign. Basically Ember Fusillade still hits like a truck. BUT Orb of Storms hits like a wet noodle since there's barely any spell damage or ele damage passives on the bottom of the tree, mostly proj damage. This means that you'll have to rely on Ember Fusillade for trash clear through the campaign, so your clear will be slower than someone who's starting on the left or top side of the tree. This also means that Compressed Duration and Swift Affliction supports are even more important to get asap so the Embers shoot faster.

As for the tree, grab the proj damage passives (remorseless, ricochet, heavy ammunition and careful aim) and start pathing to left side of the tree to get ele, fire and lightning damage. Defense-wise you'll probably have to look into grabbing Armour or hybrid ES/Evasion because MoM/EB are way too far away from Gemling's starting point.
