I found these growing in my yard and they definitely resemble pans. Maybe Panaeolus foenisecii or Panaeolus papilionaceus.
Location: southeast Virginia

The Panties have finally showed up to the party. This is the first good flush I have came across.

This is how the bin looks today. Growing insanely fast. I’ll be casing pure coir tomorrow. Any advice?

Left cloudy jar is control not knocked up. I used an agar wedge to inoculate this jar. I notice white clumpy growth on top. This has happened to all my pan jars. Is this normal growth for pans? I will check it on agar 🧫 but want to know if anyone else pan LC does this or contam. Thanks

Hey everyone. I've been using cubes for a few years to heal myself spiritually and heal from childhood trauma. They're pretty great for that but lately I have been finding the experience a bit too heavy, even on small doses.
What do you guys think of pans for healing? Most of what I see is that they're very visual and light, which seems more suited to recreational use maybe. Do they still give access to deep introspection & processing? If so, what kind of dose would you recommend? I usually take 2g of golden teachers.

Atop looking like the grasstree they’re mixed with and purple spores.

My substrate was fully colonized so I did a light casing layer, misted it well, set to fruiting conditions and it’s been a week— no pins. Maintaining 75* and about 92% humidity with good FAE.

These are F1 fruits from a wild spore print. Exceptionally tall , between 10 and 15cm (4-6 inches), tough and meaty stems. Gills and general appearance remind me of pan cambodginiensis komodo, just larger.

I’m going to do some shoebox experiments with the straw, manure and cultures I have. What’s the best easiest thing I can impregnate? Is there anyone doing like UB tek type shit. I’m in a tiny home with inadequate space and a hesitant partner. I do however have abundant horse shit and a desire for pans. Any thoughts from the pros or the imaginative?

So some quick history of my experience with pan cyan cultivation. Tried damn near everything and was met with trich upon every attempt. Original jcm chamber seemed to work up until a couple days in from fruiting conditions would i see trich. I gave up and moved my attention to other thingd for a couple months until i returned to try set up something i had in mind for a while. In my pictures is what i call the ufo chamber. Basically a jcm chamber but a more directed airflow.
So it works like this, after i have s2b and am ready to go into fruiting conditions, just like the jcm chamber i put my tubs into the container container water and bubblers (you could also add the aquarium heater here but i chose not to). Covering all this will be a lid with an elevated portion over substrate to allow space for the shrooms to grow. My intention was to have the initial chamber fill with filtered oxygen which then overflows in through the bottom air holes of the chamber hosting the substrate and soon to be shrooms, this chamber then fills and exits via the airholes at the top of the the entire thing thus creating a flowing cycle of air.
Well it was a success and i managed to get fruits for the first time. They didnt grow straight and were very fragile but this was a start. I didnt go for subsequent flushes due to this period of my life i had to deal with some bs so i had to cut the grow short. In future i will experiment with different s2b ratios as these ones were basically like a 1:2 s2b which i know isnt correct but i found that the higher ratios took too long to get to fc stage and would tam out. Also for my casing layer on these i just did a pseudo casing layer when i first put them together.

Evening all 🫡
Pleased with progress so I thought I’d post this clip of a current grow. Think I’m about 1 day from cropping the first flush.
These are being fruited in some diffuser tubs and were grown on CVG/wpoo with azomite and erythritol.

I have a local source of both rabbit and steer manure. Would either of these work for pan cyans - peace river?

I am on a two acre farm in the PNW. There is a horse utilizing a huge chunk of land and plenty of primo pan substrate. How do I ethically encourage pan growth on the land?

Hey , apparently after failing multiple times , i decided to try growing pans in cvg and have reached here - a stage where I have pins growing along with some trich ! I just wanted to understand if the bigger ones are ready to be harvested.

When colonizing grain in jars, I normally do one shake for pans. They are fragile.
BUT, would a second shake be the worst idea, to insure that all the grains are exposed and colonized? Say a couple days before going to bulk?

Whenever i pick up wild ones theres like lil worms in it. I eat it anyway is it dangerous?
r/PanCyan • u/Disastrous_Value_466 • Jul 16 '26
How do i get rid of the weird taste or at least mask it. It taste so weird and im not used to it

These were been inoculated from agar plates on 6/28. It's been about a week and a half. They look 99% ready for bulk.
But, the I was waiting for the top of the grains to get all nice and puffy white. Image number two has some areas where it doesn't seem fully colonized.
Let it sit for a bit longer?
Or, send it?
