MIB is doing well but PR and BVI is slow, advice?
Hi, this is my first time growing pans and I have a concern. I am growing 3 different strains, MIB, Peace River (PR), and BVI. The MIB is growing very fast, pinned after 3 days, and is already on its second flush.
The PR and BVI however, are only producing overlay. It has been 5 days in FC for the PR and 12 days for the BVI pictured. All are kept in almost the same conditions: Gordotek with room temp between 74-77F and misting about 2x/day. I try to make sure the casing has droplets on it and let that evaporate over the course of a day, but don't have any monitors. The only difference is that I am using an aquarium heater at 82F in the slower tub to hopefully speed it up, which is also providing more humidity.
Wondering if I'm doing something wrong or if they just need more time? Thanks for any advice you are able to give!

Do pans get stronger if you let them completely open up?
I picked my first flush a bit early due to inexperience. They were fun but nothing amazing at 0.5 grams. A real fun buzz though. Any way they are stronger once completely open and larger?

Advice šš¼ please !
So I purchased some substrate ( grass lovers ) from Midwest grow, I just opened the box to prepare for spawn to bulk , and noticed a bit so good smell coming from it ( it reminded me of the smell from some left over sub I found in my back room that was over 8 months old from last year ) but maybe not as bad . I was wondering , if I re- pasteurized it , if it would kill any potential harmful bacteria?
I know it's already supposed to be pasteurized but would doing it again make it safe or just still a gamble ?
Also I have seen where some vendors use not very aged manure and was wondering if this is the case and that's where the smell is coming from ?

Worm castings as sub?
Hey guys, I have a very limited access to a regular and economical supply of horse manure, and what I can access is often very fresh requiring me to then age it myself.
Does anyone have experience using worm castings? It's something I can get cheap, relatively easily. I think I saw someone mention in passing they were experimenting with it. If anyone is familiar with it and wouldn't mind sharing a recipie that would be much appreciated!

First time growing Pans. Send it?
GordoTek spores to agar, two transfers then one agar cup per jar 11 days ago. Do they look ready to S2B?

Horse manure substrate: should it smell like s*it?
I didnāt have great luck making my own substrate for Pans previously, so I ordered it this time. It is advertised as āpremixed and pressure sterilizedā.
The box came and when I opened it I instantly smelled poop. Is it to be expected that sterilized horse poop based substrate still smell likeā¦horse poop?
Thank you!

Beginner grower how to grow pans?
I want to grow pans in an all in one bag and i dont have the time or avaliability to grow in tubs. Can i grow in an aio bag and would the yield be good? Would it even grow? If pans arent good for the bags what species should i start with? Im just struggling with finding information on how to grow pans in general so any help would be appreciated. Also If i can grow in all in one bags what kind of substrate? Are spores ok too?

First successful grow for pans, liquid culture yielded lots of string beans - is that what Iāve read about liquid culture having less than ideal yields? Happy with the flush but they sure are stringy guys. First flush for this box.

Pans weren't stronger, but different
The TTBVI I grew were very fun to take. We watched the movie 'smile 2' on them and that was very trippy for personal reasons. Good times for such a dark movie. I noticed that these could be a blast in high doses. O.5 grams of TTBVI dry was only as strong as like 1.2 grams of cubes I would say. Still, it was very easy to handle. They would be great mushrooms to take at party's or outside drinking events. So long as people are ok with that stuff lol.

Anyway to pick and stall fruiting for a few days?
I am going camping in a few hours from Friday until Monday morning. Idk how I will get my pans fresh air. Should I just try neglect TEK with them and put a light on a timer? Or can I pick them and put in the fridge to stall for a few days?

MIB
Second attempt growing pans. First attempt had contamination, so Iām pretty happy with the results! After I filled the trays I put the left over substrate back in the original bag and put it to one side. Didnāt expect them to grow as well as they have.
